Sorry about that, JAW of course. :)

Topic: Art
Make a scene where at least two different kind of art is hinted. Music, painting, martial, home design(?).. Be creative and make some interesting combinations.
Could be a scene with oil painted objects inside of a drum, or just something like a class room with instruments and painting equipments.

Rules: AGS compatible.

Voting start 20th of August.

To be honest I think the only problem is the back of the jaw, it would probably be a good idea to connect it in front of the ear. Right now it looks like the jaw is very broad as it goes behind the ear.

Or you could of course move the ear back if you want to keep the triangle shape of the face.

If you tweak that I think the forehead looks OK as you don't get a triangle shape of the face. You could probably round it a little, as little as two pixels could probably do it.
At least that's what I would suggest

I remember you showing interest in AGS, it's good to see that you got a AGS project going, Krusbert.
The story sounds interesting and I would have offered to help if I had any free time to spare.

Good luck, keep us updated! :)

So I probably didn't use the word right, I was probably more thinking of affected. Either way, I'm posting it. :)

The idea that each year a heavy flood traveled across the lands which after thousands of year have caused erosion to the mountain the town was built on.

A quick update, we have posted a "help wanted" post HERE for anyone who might be interested!
Hopefully that can give us the extra push to get this demo done.

Project: The Journey of Iesir

Details: You can read more about the project HERE.

Positions Available:

Animator - You must be able to animate 2D characters (using whatever your preferred tool is) and have a good and solid understanding of animation and drawing. Flash type animations are OK.
Sound engineer - You have experience with editing and creating sound effects for games. You ideally also have experience with post effects, working with voice acting files and AGS.

Deadline: No specific deadline, but we are aiming to finish the pitch demo by the end of this year.

Comments:
Interested parties can either reply to this thread or contact me via PM - please include your portfolio to showcase your skills in the relevant area. Please do understand that this is a serious project and will require that you are active and motivated. If you know that you won't have time for this project, please do not seek any of the position. There is a possibility that the game will go commercial, so it will require that you are a serious candidate.  However no payment or promises can be made at this stage.

Please also note that this project has been worked on for some time already - you will not be jumping aboard a project that is in its infancy.  We simply need extra help at this stage to take what we already have to the next level.

The Journey of Iesir sure has been a long journey, almost 3 years in the making now If I'm not mistaken.
And we are close to getting this done demo done, with all the art more or less done, dialogs written and acted out in the game, puzzles added and the demo being playable from start to end.

But animations is going slow(although forward), so if you are/know anyone that can help out, let me know!

Here is a background, not new though but I don't think it has been posted in here. The Stumbling Ass:

Ok, I'll probably look like an idiot, but I'm curious what more experienced people think about Flash?
Now that Flash player 11 recently came out which support GPU-acceleration and with Adobe keep improving AIR for cross-platform support.

What is the pro vs cons between Java and Flash?
Here is a video that is very fresh:
http://casualconnect.org/lectures/design/flash-to-the-core-2012-update-andre-jay-meissner/

So I'm curious why Javascript should be consider a better choice? I'm mainly curious because I'm working on a Flash Game myself with the Starling Framework for Flash11.
If I'm hijacking the thread, feel free to send me PM!

I think some updating is in order!
So what's happening, are we still finishing the demo?
Of course we are! We have to since we have a lot of pressure from our publisher who want's it finished by 2012:
http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/the-best-pc-games-of-2012/
(The date is as accurate as the publisher is, so sorry - the given date is not coming from us)
Never the less it's great to be mentioned, especially among so many games with a budget!

Right now everyone is working with dialogs, music, sound, animations and tech - so it's going in the right direction.

We're still looking for an animator though!
