Trying to get Monkey Islands 3 & 4 to run on an operating system made after Windows 98. Mother of god, It's hard. At least MI3 can be run on Scummvm, MI4 is unplayable for me  :'(. While MI4 isn't the best adventure game (or anwhere near the best) I feel a little saddened that I can't complete the series.

Also, sam & max constantly crashed when I owned it originally, but Scumvm fixed that. Yay for ScummVm!

November is just a really, really, really bad time. All sorts of stuff going on. NaNoWriMo, as Tuomas pointed out, an I have a lot of GCSE mocks (which, sadly, take precedence over creative writing) at the end of November, and various piles of coursework need doing. Don't worry, rock_chick, it's nothing to do with you or your competition's rules, nor is it the competition itself. It's just a really busy month ahead of me and I probably won't make the time for much other than work, sorry. 

first of all, i don't wanna sound disrespectful but... who are you to judge my art? i can do art with both pictures and ass.

Tell me what you think guys. If it rocks, if it sucks and why... Comments are welcome.

On another note, apart from the usual 'this layout of pictures is a pain-in-th-ass' comment, I have to ask, what do you mean by set the weight to 640? Images don't have weights, rather dimensions.
The images themselves, they don't give a feeling of SUSPENSEY at all, more like they are just photos with the 'newsprint' filter in GIMP/Photoshop applied.
As for the artwork, not a bad first attempt. As for the forum etiquette- there's a lot to be desired.

I'm also considering organizing a smaller version of NaNoWriMo, 10.000 words in 14 days, somewhere in March. Anyone who's into NaNoWriMo interested in something like that?

A Nano-NaNoWriMo? Or a NaNoWriFort? Sure, depending on what's going on then. There may or may not be the time, It's too early to tell.

I'm considering it, but like most people, November is a bad month. I have mock exams beginning at the end of november, so I have revision, English coursework, IT coursework, Welsh coursework, French coursework, and History coursework, as well of trying to make time for my game, of course! . I'll give it a shot though, sure. I'm just going to try and get everything I can out of the way by Nov. 1st.

Eh. I've been lucky. My accidents have been few and far between, and even them not very serious. I remember some serious pain when a dare led me to stick my little finger into a fan, shearing a load of skin off, almost to the bone. Then lately, one of the worst pains I've experienced in a long while,  a few days ago some utter twat at my school hit me with a coca-cola bottle right on the knuckle of my hand, then on the bony bit of my wrist. Doesn't sound like it would hurt much, does it? Get a friend to do it. With both hands, have him hold the bottom of the bottle and hit your wrist with the lid. Christ, it hurt.

Either I'm a really slow player or most authors do not follow anything like the one hour rule. :o To say a few Infinity String and 5 days a stranger took me a lot longer then one hour, probably four five

I think they mean an hour for the game's creator to complete. Which would obviously be considerably shorter because the have created the game and know the ins and outs, because of the work they have done in the past X months.

Stan, just because you didn't get a hundred replies, wetting themselves with glee in ten minutes doesn't give you the right to go on a personal vendetta against every lo-res game in existance, nor does it mean the AGS community is unfairly biased against good graphics, (Graphist, if you will) There are more lo-res Pick-Of-The-Months is because THERE ARE MORE LO-RES GAMES.

If you want to garner respect with the community, reply to threads nicely, follow the rules and be respectful. It's just that simple. Change your attitude before you get a reputation as Andy Penis II (if you got that joke, conglaturations[and if you got that, a winner is you{and if-never mind}])
