Messages - Darth Mandarb

I'm afraid I'll have to go the Esseb route since growing out my mustache will take some serious time (about 2 weeks) considering I just shaved this morning!

I will sport the 'stache proudly in my avatar though:

Look out ladies!!!  Darth is on the prowl!!

Touching story.

Condolences to your and yours at the loss of your friend.

Cats are very preceptive animals so I have no doubt the cat [on some level] knew something was wrong.  I don't think there was any 'psychic' bond (like Andail said) just more a 'broken routine' that caused a behavioral shift in the cat's normal day-to-day.

Granted that's scientific and nowhere near as entertaining as the thought of the psychic connection.

I don't know ... I'm on the fence about supernatural stuff like that.  I know this ... the morning my grandmother died (in 2006) I awoke at 5am (much earlier than I normally awaken) and I couldn't get back to sleep.  My phone rang at 6 (an hour later) and I knew instantly why I had awoken at 5.  It was my father (it was his mother) and he just said, "she's gone..." and I, without thought, said, "I know" and she had died at 5 ... exactly when I woke up.

Coincidence that I woke up so much earlier than usual at the exact moment she passed?

Perhaps ... but I'm not so sure.

Anyway, sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing that story.  It was quite moving.  I think it would make an interesting kid's book.

If he wins an 8th Tour de France (at age 37) I will be very impressed indeed!

I must admit this doesn't surprise me ... retirement these days (for celebrities) very rarely sticks!  They often get pulled back into the spot-light.  The sad thing is that, oft-times, when they return they never recapture that former glory and thus taint their legacy.

Here's hoping Lance "Aragorn" Armstrong doesn't meet the same fate!

Welcome back Lance!

Quote from: MantraofDoom on Tue 09/09/2008 20:59:42I'll see about that shadow... is there a way to make part of the character semi transparent? I'm sure I'll figure it out.

There are several ways to go about this (check the tech forums as it's been posted in there several times!)

I like the sound/concept of this game!  Good luck with it!

Ladies and gentlemen ... at long last I present you with the brilliant version of:
BOHEMITTENS RHAPSODY

This was either the single-most geekiest thing I've ever been witness to ... or the coolest.

I haven't decided yet :)

And here is Nacho's upside-down rendition of the Smurf's Theme!!
WHAT THE SMURF??

It's not that Zooty ... it's that this thread is almost a year old ;)

ViperDream - hello and welcome!

This is a question that pops-up every so often.  If you try searching the forums you'll come up with several threads about this very subject!

Bill Clinton can't get a blow-job without the world knowing about it.

And people honestly think a secret this big could be kept for 40 years?

Hi, I'm reality ... have we met??

JP in JP & Cosmo is me!

I'm so egotistical!!

I think it's pretty common for parts of ourselves to find their way into games/stories.  In fact, the hardest part for me when writing character interactions is remembering that it's the character that needs to react as (s)he would react, not how I, the author, would!

Liked that title screen, but two other ones need improving.

I was thinking exactly the opposite! :P

The two in-game shots look original in style and without the blur. I like them.

I was thinking (actually knowing) that this isn't the Critics Lounge.

Dualnames - you are a game making machine!  Keep up the good work :)

Quote from: Andail on Wed 03/09/2008 12:25:27Threads in this forum should display two different screenshots. It doesn't count if you just change characters.

Yes ... is this the only background in the game?  If so, that's fine ... but please then post a title/option screen (something else) to show more than just the same background!

Quote from: bicilotti on Sat 30/08/2008 20:51:28Fool, it's made with BST (Blood, Sweat and Tears).

Link doesn't work.

Does that mean it's not being made with AGS?  Could somebody please just answer with a 'yes' or a 'no' answer.

Quote from: Mods on Wed 27/08/2008 18:51:21Aha, there are some things in life you cannot moderate, Darth! ;)

I may change the "guest" credits though to something more suiting.

Haha!  Seriously I couldn't care less about a spot in the credits!  I was just goofin' around!  Just being a part of the whole Mittens experience (and this movie) was more than enough for this Yank!
#2098
I'll buy one!  But only if, in the credits, it says (after all the other names):

and
Jeremy Page
as Renaldo's Comforter

Because, seriously, the movie was 'great' ... but without my performance I think it would have been just 'good'. :P
#2099
Just watched it ... hilarious!

Really good stuff!

DRAT I'm at work!

Will watch when I get home ... can't wait to see it!
