Any dates planned for this yet?  Remember M0ds, I still have your shades!

Those eyes!  Stop hypnotising people, Dart.

I am so going to hell for this.

I recently realized in designing my current game that there are going to be alot of idle animations for the various characters, and the animations depend on various factors - the direction the character is in, what the character is wearing, the mood of the character, etc.  I was wondering if there was a way to have more direct control over the idle animating function, instead of having SetIdleView commands all over the code.  Something like:

OnCharacterIdle(JOE)

{
   if (Joe is wearing jacket)
   {
       if (joe is sad)
           play sad/jacket animation;
       if (joe is happy)
           play happy/jacket animation;
   }
  else if (Joe is wearing tie)
  {
       if (joe is sad)
           play sad/tie animation;
       if (joe is happy)
           play happy/tie animation;
  }
}

You could also set up random idle animations with this function, something AGS isn't capable of now, as far as I can tell.

Is there a way to do this?

Hey Tomus,

Sorry to hear that you are no longer reviewing for Plne Hry.  Even though I was unable to read the reviews, it seemed to have the most comprehensive amateur game news on the internet.  It really had its finger on the pulse of the scene.  Glad to hear you are still writing though.  Best of luck with whatever you end up doing! :)

I don't think the folks at Plne Hry know about RON, or Instagame for that matter.  Their "Postman Only Dies Once" review obviously judged the game as a single entity as opposed to one in a series.  Although quite a bit of time has passed since then so who knows?

Picture number one - a curved piece of metal, commonly known as a HOOK

Picture number two - a length of string, also refered to as a LINE

Picture number three - A small weighted object used for fishing, known in nautical circles as a SINKER

If you don't get it by now, you're not going to. :)

In that case...

"Blinded fool"?

Think about it.

I still need some people, either good in graphics, scenario writing, good sense of humor, music....

And what will you bring to the table?

Pardon our skepticism, but we've seen posts like these a million times before.  Nobody is going to drop everything and join your project without knowing who you are or what you can accomplish, especially if you have no ideas in mind.  Come back to us with a game plan and you might get somewhere.

I think this game sets the all-time record for the number of balls jokes!

Haven't played much of it, but it's a mighty nice piece of work so far.  Congratulations on finishing this in time to win the ATC.  You certainly managed to release this faster than we released ToaK!

I'm sure there's a Short Round joke here somewhere.  I just can't think of one.

Sweet.  Thanks Creed, for taking the initiative here.

I might not be around for Mittens, but if Brittens is in June I can definitely come.  I have a free ticket to the UK (long story) and would love to use it.  Just please don't make it during the weekend of the 10th!  That is my cousin's bat mitzvah weekend and is therefore FORBIDDEN!.

You can PM the translation to me if it's THAT bad.  I'm all curious now.  Please? :)

What works for me, is to watch muppet show episodes, but imagine all the muppets naked or in very suggestive outfits. However, never think of Yoda. He only impotence brings. Anyway, the muppet show always works for me.

So you've done this before, eh?

Funny I should see this thread, since I recently responded to a job ad for a game designer.Ã,  They are looking to make games to tie into their web site.Ã,  I didn't realize until after I responded that the website is a puppet porn site, of all things.

So, er, yeah.Ã,  I might need advise on how to write this kind of thing as well.Ã,  Not sure how I'd write a porn game, let alone a puppet porn game.

Ha ha.  I wouldn't know to do with a fanboy anyway.  Do you need to take them for walks?  Feed them special food?

Anyrate, BT speaks the truth.  You can read a bit about the new BoE here: http://www.davelgil.com/games/interview.pdf

Since it's no longer April Fool's day (in yabb time) I think we can safely call *bluff*.

Rubbish!  Here are three screenshots from the game:
