Zero Punctuation just reviewed Unavowed!

He liked it, insofar as he likes anything.

+1 in favor of dropping it. The manual still says Windows 98 and ME are supported, too. I assume that's no longer true.

I went through the exchange and I see no version of anyone's smiling expression being used at any point, so I am not sure what you are referring to.

Don't die yet. A lot of people can't buy the game on Steam because there's no price set for their countries.

That's been fixed. For some reason, Steam didn't validate some of the regional prices before I launched and I didn't know about it. I resubmitted them and have to wait for them to approve 'em. In the meantime, you can buy the game with the Humble widget which includes a Steam key. (http://www.unavowed-game.com/)

Thank you so much, Tabata!

Yep! It'll be on Steam, GOG and Humble. And it will launch on Mac as well as PC. Linux will come later.

Five days to go. 8-0

Nope. It was around $10k total for Kathy Rain. That included the studio fee, the payments to the actors, the fee for the casting director, and payments to myself. Admittedly, I think I may have low-balled myself and I would probably charge more now.

When I saw that Dave Gilbert mentioned a base fee of about $15,000 for an average length voicing at his studio I thought it was expensive but, after going through the process, even in just a QA Consultant kinda role, I can see why it would cost a lot of money to get the level of quality that WadgetEye achieves.

Yikes! No, I rarely spend that much. The most I ever "spent" was around $10k for Kathy Rain, and that's only because I had to charge Joel for my own time in addition to everybody else's.

The GUI zoom is great! Nice work. :)

So now everyone who reported this problem is now telling me that the game now works perfectly. I have no idea how this happened. Maybe a windows update?

Problem solved, I guess.

Sigh. The user now says the game is running with no problems, but has no idea what he did to fix it. This game is gaslighting me. It's happened to seven people so far, so there's a good chance it will happen again. When it does, I'll tell them to make a log before making any other changes.
