Great game!  You can see my comments on the RON board.

I'll be putting this up on the RON site soon.

Holy crow.

That was amazing!  Very DOTT-ish.  Well worth the wait.

Now get cracking on the rest of the game, dude!

Thanks everyone!  If compliments were currency, you guys just paid my mortgage.  :-)

Urg, seems if anyone gets stuck, it's here.

Spoiler

There's a spot on the map that you can go to - you might have missed it.  On the far left of the screen, there's an area of the mountain that stands out from the rest.  You can go there.

And you should be able to use the detergent-in-a-bottle on the wool.

Yep, I realized that but I didn't change it for that very same reason.

Spoilers:

Spoiler
Was the radio set to the correct frequency at the time?  That scene is very animation-heavy, so sometimes it crashes when another element is added (like the radio feedback playing), especially on slower computers.  I know on my computer, using the radio on Thakbor in either "state" works fine.  I tried it on my parent's older computer and sometimes it would crash, but setting the resolution to 320 x 200 did the trick.

Hi, this puzzle is slightly obscure.  But I get to do my first hide-the-text-spoiler thing.  Cool!

Spoiler
When you ask Melt & Drake for money, they refer to the "hemp" that they are smoking.  What do you have that contains hemp?

Yep!  I changed the name from "RON Beach Party" for the obvious reason that it's a pretty stupid title.  :)

Hi all, just a quick post to announce my new RON game: "The Purity Of The Surf!"

Become Josh Beachcomber, the ultimate beach bum, as he struggles to raise enough money to enter and win the annual Reality Surfing Contest.

Features:

- Over 20 cool surf rock tunes.
- A number of nifty animations (and cheap sight gags)
- Your favorite RON characters in skimpy swimsuits! Woo-hoo!

You can find the game at http://www.davelgil.com/ags/Surf.zip

Enjoy!  :)

G'day,

I just wanted to jump on the Tierra worship wagon and fawn pathetically over this incredible game.  WOW.   Holy fluffernutters on TOAST.  What are you trying to do?  Make the rest of us look bad?  :)

Your work here is amazing - not only have you made a great looking and fun game, but you have managed to stay true to the original KQ spirit.

Bravo!  This game is going to kick royal butt at the next AGS awards, I am sure.

Cheers,

-Dave

Holy fluffernutters on TOAST.  This game is great!  I haven't played that much of it yet, but wow.  You really fleshed out the gameworld.  I always thought the mer-people section was the lamest part of KQ2, but you've made it really interesting.  Well done!

Yay!  I've been looking forward to this game for a long time.

Although your timing is terrible, dude.  You could have released this a week ago when we Americans were taking our Thanksgiving vacations.  :)

Anyrate, I am downloading now in eager anticipation...

"Romancing the Stones?"

Hm.  That sounds kind of dirty.

Me at a trade show in Vegas.

And Gilbert - your audience looks riveted by your masterful oratory powers.  Is that guy in the front drinking beer?

Quote from: Trapezoid on Thu 31/10/2002 16:21:16Probably not, I'm already working on a full length game (see Suspico).

That's a shame.  This would make a great series of small-games.  Who doesn't like satan?   (Except for Davy Jones, of course)

This game is great, dude!  Extremely short, but extremely sweet.  I especially like the way Satan walks.

Are you going to create a longer game with Satan?

Cautious?  Screw cautious!

Me, I went ahead and met up with Gilbert Cheung while traveling in a foreign country where I bearly spoke the language.  How's that for cautious?  :)

I use my real name because I can't be arsed to think of a wittier one.  For a brief time I called myself "GameGeezer" but gave that up because it was daft.  I'm lucky in that my name is pretty common and therefore google-proof.

Wow.  Very impressive.   Excellent graphics, nice animations, fun main character (who looks a bit like edward scissorhands), and the dialog made me burst out laughing quite a number of times.  Not to mention a bit of replay value because of all the different dialog options.  It also looks very professional - the animated icons are particularly impressive.

As vogue as it is to diss Yahtzee, he's always produced quality stuff.  He doesn't disappoint here either.  I think Odysseus Kent blows Rob Blanc out of the water.
