I know, still a bit expensive for an early access game for me haha. I'm a poor student. As I said, lovely game though, I'm looking forward to owning it one day and giving it a try myself!

I'd love to get the full version but I can't afford it right now and it doesn't seem to go cheap in sales quite yet! Great game though, love what I've seen in Youtube clips and so on.

It's not the games for me usually, it's winsetup.exe so my guess is because it has the word setup in the name?

The idea right now is to maybe try again next year since Mittens might/should be in North America following it's twice-in-EU-once-in-NA-rule and a lot more people from here will have a hard time making it over the Atlantic. We'll see how it goes, who organizes it etc.

General Discussion / Re: Time counter name

How about Chronological measurement of so-called time units that have passed since a certain discrete point of reference?

Just call the variable CMOSCTUTHPSACDPOR, easy to remember, easy life.

Am I the only one that doesn't see the appeal of having a 'game' like this going on when everybody just cheats and googles? I mean, I don't care, I don't 'play' but it's just something that I keep asking myself when I check the thread.

Nooooo I wasn't fast enough with my beta testing for this I guess, sorry!!!

This is an AMAZING game, very well done Ghost! I enjoyed my time with it greatly, you have the ability to make up these wonderful settings and universes and combine them with super cute and awesome graphics! This is well worth a try-out!

People say that other leagues can't keep up with the pace of the premier league...

Are you talking about the English Premier League? Because if so, then I'm pretty sure the only people that would say that are English! ;)

I started out at the age of 12 with a weekend course where a friendly and incredibly funny (usually not on purpose) Indian guy taught us C. Then my parents gave me some books on birthdays, game programming for kids, one was for C++ (Windows), one for Pascal (DOS). I started making Windows games with the Borland CBuilder IDE, mostly clicking windows together and drawing simple sprites. Then I got into the Genesis3D engine which came with GTest, a pretty cool 3D FPS multiplayer deathmatch game that I started to modify, slowly learning more about C++. At that point, I got Half-Life and started playing Counter-Strike (age 13 I believe) and started making maps for it with my friends using the wonderful Hammer editor. Then I found out you could make mods for the engine as well so I tried my luck at that, oftentimes in teams with random people that I found in the online community. The complexity of that engine, however, overwhelmed me and then I found AGS!

Only two years ago, when I started studying computer science, did I pick up Java, Python, Lua, Javascript, PHP and C# for courses that required them.

It's a shame that not enough people were up for it in the end, especially since so many showed interest initially which got my hopes up. :( I was looking forward to meeting a couple AGSers this year again after last years awesome GerMittens, oh well! Since Mittens will be in the US next time around (at least it should be if I remember correctly), maybe a similar initiative would have more success next year?

Thank you Wyz for putting all the effort into making and updating this thread, organizing the list of interested/confirmed people and finding all those amazing looking places, I know that was a bunch of work!

I picked up Tropico 4 for 85% off, what a deal! Can't complain about that one!

And then coinflip.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was 75% off last year at the summer sale (where I got it). This year it's 50% off (and it's a daily deal so it's not going to get any cheaper)...

Just picked up Super Amazing Wagon Adventure because I liked the look of it. Here's hoping it's really super amazing! :)
