Critics' Lounge / Re: Store Front backgrounds

1. A few objects have no depth.
-the stair railing.
-both the green and red awnings.
-----
2. Nothing is following the same vanishing point as the store.
The closest pole holding the green awning needs to be lowered.
I'm not too sure what shape you are going for with the sidewalk and path. They should follow the vanishing point if you want them straight.
The building in the background needs proper angles on the right side. (frame, door, windows, roof)
-----
3. the vanishing point ALWAYS goes to the horizon unless there is something above the horizon such as a hill or mountains.
-----
4. What is the green awning doing?
-----
The clouds don't blend with the rest of the scene. They should be more cartoony to fit in.
-----
Compostion-wise i think you should move the background building a bit (Edit) CLOSER and perhaps add a few details here and there such as a light post, a bench, or a trash can.
There's also nothing showing that this is a store. No signs, no merchandise in the window.
If the building in the background is of any importants it too should also have something hinting as to what the building is there for.

I was wondering if someone could explain this to me. I found this page at http://www.fineart.sk/show.php?w=183

In the drawing above the following problem is worked out.
Draw a room 18 by 27 by 12ft. at normal eyelevel, with two figures standing 25 ft. apart, in single-point perspective.
Solution: Establish a vertical scale on a horizontal scale. Mark these off in floor units to be equal on both scales. Set the horizon at slightly less than 6 vertical feet. Set vanishing point of intersection of horizon and vertical scale. Connect horizontal units to VP. Establish depth at first square foot. Draw diagonal to horizon. This establishes VP of the diagonals for all receding units and also creates a unit 9 by 9ft. Repeat this unit with diagonals as shown.

Everything makes sense to me except for "Establish depth at first square foot." How am I suppose to do that accurately? If I put the line too high or too low it will turn out to be a rectangle.

If there is a way to do this accurately, how would you use this formula in 2-point perspective?

I think you did such a great job of perceiving the atmosphere of a blind person. The way the objects fade in and then colored, was genius. I loved how you used braille when selecting the actions from the top menu. I also found the senses to be fun when compared to just "looking", like in other adventure games.

Nit picky stuff:
The one thing I noticed right away was that you could pick things up without even knowing what they were. I think it would have been better if the person had to touch an object before picking it up.
I also find it quite odd to have the blind person licking everything. I'm not too sure this is what a blind person would actually do.

Overall, I have really enjoyed your game. Looking forward to the next installment.

Well first off, Erenan, I enjoyed the beginning of your game but I have gotten freezes in various places, plus I'm wandering all over the place and have no clue what to do. Where I found people before, I can't find again. A map would help a lot.
Colxfile, in your game I can't get control of your character, no matter where I click on the screen he just stays there.
I really can't vote, since I am not able to finish either of your games.

My quick edit. What I did was raise his waist so that it was about half way between the third head down. I also brought in his shoulders a bit and lengthened his arms and legs to make him look evenly proportioned.
