Has anyone used this with a lot of characters? I'm trying to do 1238 individual glyphs, no errors but I'm quite sure this is not correct either.
#63
On a different note, I'm also now getting this exception.

Alright, we're past that, now a different issue has risen!

[proper alpha blending seems to be somewhat broken]
Specifically on UI Buttons, instead of them [their graphic, which is a usually a png with alpha transparency] being displayed, they're not [they are fully transparent, as if their sprite is 0].

Even if on the editor they are displayed properly.

But there's nothing wrong there per se, and the translation works fine on 3.5.1.7.
3.6.0 seems to hate it for some reason I can't fathom.

Code: ags

So, can I do anything to fix it myself?

I'll try and fix these things in the following day, that scaling thing is weird lol, and funny!
#70
Did a small update fixing an issue i created myself yesterday, if the zip you downloaded contained "v1" in its name you should be good! If not, please redownload from the first post on this topic <3
#73
Will do, for now, primary test was somewhat of a success. Right now only remaining issue is the "follow" mode, where an arrow appears over an avatar selected fromthe list to the left.
If that doesn't work out, I'll disable it for the ceremony.

Thanks to the small group of people that attended the testing of the client, it has helped us a lot! Can't wait to see you all in the ACTUAL THING!!

100% agreeing with you, Laura. I think that's an omission on our part, something to definitely be more explicit about in the future! I didn't clarify that to Cassie [until very late], who did a wonderful job communicating with me and with all of you, and set up all the assets to be proper, so that my job would be easier! This was if anything a very transitional period for the ceremony. And I do apologize for any miscommunication on my end with these things. They were of course communicated to me by Snarky, at some point at least, but it's difficult to get ahold of so many new things. Last time I worked on the ceremony, things were very different and much much less organized. In fact I'm quite confident I didn't have entrants sent me pictures, I just went and grabbed assets from the game database or game-related topics.

So TL:DR, we take/I take your very valid feedback into heart, and promise we'll find a way to be more specific about what is required from our nominees.

I finally finished the last entry today, [well last 4 entries rather]. So votes have been casted!

Hello, everyone! THE TIME IS UPON US!

On April 9th 20:00 BST the actual ceremony is happening.

As per usual, there is an AGS client to connect to the virtual ceremony.

- AGS Awards Ceremony Client: v7.0.3

- Downloads:
Windows (.zip) â€" 454 MB
Linux (.zip) â€" 472 MB
MacOS (.zip) â€" 457 MB

If you want to try it out in advance, you are welcome to join prior to the ceremony. If you have a previous version of the client, you'll be unable to join in, please download this one.

Windows: Run the AGS Awards 2021.exe
Linux: I believe either running ags64/ags32 or startgame will start the client.
MAC: The app is codesigned, I believe either running AGSAwards.app/Contents/MacOS/AGS or simply running the app, will start the client.

If you are planning on streaming, make sure you go to settings and select streamer mode.

Of course, everyone is welcome, but there is no slapping feature. There is clapping tho, and laughing!
#78
Features implemented (ordered by date):
-Added Exit Client confirmation UI.
-Added Options/Settings UI [saved per profile]
-Sped up the walking speed of American Girl Scouts, now they zoomin!
-Fixed the old too many overlays crash bug [has existed till the very first AGS awards ceremony]
-Removed display command [as it is blocking and would cause disconnects]
-Now audience members can not only clap, but laugh [and laughs are gender specific depending on your avatar, unfortunately could only find manly and womanly laughs and nothing gender neutral, but gender-neutral characters will alternate both male and femaly laughs, before the laughs become "crowd" laughs]
-Added another new feature: Text Throttling.
This throttles input by the player by adding it into a queue, through a listbox.
Every CHAT_THROTTLE (1 SECOND) it parses the list, one by one and sends the text.
That way the player can keep typing without feeling like they have to wait.
-Sound & Music gets saved on change.
-Now Participants list uses RIGHT CLICK for OPTIONS, LEFT click to select.
-Participants UI, Awards UI and CHAT LOG UI, now can behave like MenuBar UI through the settings.
-Whenever there's a mouse click [of any kind] fading out stops.
-Added Camera Functions [zoom in, zoom out]
-Audience can now EMOTE through a list of available emotes [I believe 9]
-Stage now scrolls to the bottom, there's like extra 280 pixels. That's like a lot of pixels.
-Confetti is now on the menu.
-Added new highlighter of characters
-Added a special feature for two special people [IT'S NOT WHAT U THINK IT IS.]
-Ctrl-A now selects all text.
-Indicator for capslock/shift next to the chat text.

Anyway, been looking through the forums to see what issues we missed from other years, what features haven't been implemented and the sort, and I stumbled upon the 2014 thread, yes that thread, and gladly I couldn't read much of my stuff, I was very annoyed and very wrong, and didn't take criticism very well apparently. There was never any homophobia or sexism intended, but I can see how that seemed as such to people back then. Regardless, not starting a heated discussion, I just wanted to let people know, that the awards will be a safe space, and everyone's opinion will be taken into account. This stage started as a joke, but I always wanted it to be bigger than just an inside joke, and I'm glad I handed the reins to Snarky and he's done so many wonderful things with this [maybe removing Daft Punk was the only mistake]. Anyway, for what it means, I am not the same person I was 8 years ago, regardless, I feel the need to apologize to everyone for my actions.

I'm sorry.

I hope you can forgive me, and join the ceremony this year, cause all these features are made for YOU!! SO LESGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

EDIT: Here's a screenie
