I'm sure the RON folks are always happy for a RON game but this one I think has a problem with art. I made once the same backgrounds, so don;t you point that in me. Please try and copy the RON graphic style, it's not at all hard to reach RON's art level. And the art of RON games is quite good.

Well after talking to Fransisco Gonzalez, well known as Grundislav and well known for Ben Jordan games, I'm glad to announce that this game will be actually the very first that will feature Ben Jordan as NPC with its author approval on it. The Ben Jordan Easter Egg will be very easy to find since I'm not gonna hide it. And it took me a 200$ fee to get Ben Jordan. No, just kidding.  I've added as easter eggs/cameo appearances the following Purple Tentacle Mini, Manny Calavera's Scythe, King Graham's Hat, and the diamond from Curse of Monkey Island. That's all for now.

I've figured out what he is doing wrong. Set your inventory GUI from persistent to pop-up modal or normal. That should fix your prob.

I haven't tried changing from 16bit to 32bit. No reason to do actually. Make first sure that your backgrounds don't look good in 16bit and in lower res for your game will be very slow once you starting import scripting modules and such. Make sure you really need that reso and depth.

I really can't rate the background more than 5/10. About improving try copying another's game art style. That should really improve your skill.
I know you've put a lot of effort on those. I was making once art like this and worse. And I know from first hand how it feels when you've put a lot of effort on something and nobody likes it. But it's a truth that you have to face. The grass looks good the tents look bad and the rest. Try coloring the outlines of each object. Don't leave them black that should help you  reach an easy 6/10. Without much effort.

Your game was good. Doesn't mean that because I found something annoying that it's that way. Don't let it bring you down. I remember when I made my first game scripting things was a very big problem and I scripted an adventure game. I could have a look at your code and set things up and comment it if you like though.

Ok. Andail. Time is relevant. You draw like hell no matter how much time it takes you. I haven't tried drawing that style but I don't think I'll get a grip on it like you did.
