Well ok. Listen to this one...
How about there is a monthly/week/whatevery competition by the name
AGS Show

1. Description
AGS Show is a competition where people make a game (possibly very short) based on the AGS show idea.
AGS Show is like Friends are. A comedy show that is. Except that instead of the characters in friends famous AGS or basically adventure gaming characters will star on each episode. The story of each episode can be decided by the author of each game. The winner of each competition will set the output of the next episode. I could create an episode myself just to let you see the idea.

Well, I've been doing some GUI's, and I've come up with the idea to make a bonus content GUI that will be accesible to the player once he's finished the game. The bonus content will be artwork pre work sketches etc. And while doing that I've come up with SlideShow module.

If you have any ideas about what you'd like to see as bonus content PM me or post it here.

I realize this is not a template, but I got some enthousiastic messages about the Font Editor in the past few months. Seems people are still using it a lot. It's only 50 kb or thereabouts, so feel free to include it if you think it's helpful.

I'd vote for that. Also some of Akumayos Module.

Module:  SlideShow GUI.

Version: 1.10

Require: Artwork.gue(included in the zip)

Author:  Jim "Dualnames" Span

This modules provides a GUI where you can cycle through images like a slideshow on Windows XP. The number of images is infinite. As long as you can provide the space... The whole code is commented so you won't have any problem setting it to your needs.

Version of AGS:
2.72(It should work with newer versions though)

UPGRADE:
Added Randomize Function and Fixed Crash Chances to 50% now to 0%.

Download the module here:

Thanks Neole.

Good thinking but I don't really think so.
However the help manual could add some really helpful parts from the forums. I think in order to do things you have to learn scripting. We all did. It wasn't very hard.

As a starting point, I think it'd be good to include some sort of lucasarts/MI style template, and some sort of verb-coin type template.

Good idea! If you're interested, you can use my verb-coin module (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=27309.20)

, which Dualnames has altered a little (see http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=32398.0)

No ready-to-use template, though. (I encourage all that are interested to make one)

I'll drink to that.  Thanks, Tom

Why don't we just make Mittens, brittens and all that crap to Greece? FFS. I would come for sure. I live there. I love to see Fransisco saying games in greek.

You don't get it.
Like making a part of the forums called (HELP). Like In production is.
#7037
Probably not. But I remember myself wanting to play Grim Fandango on mouse. I'm using the arrow keys to move the character of course. Plus I always wanted to make a keyboard based game and a CM interface and now I can make both.
#7038
In a game I'm currently working on(lone Case 3 that is) I decided to enable the player to either select keyboard or mouse controls(mouse is the default.) I've been checking things and it's perfect. You can change anytime to keyboard or mouse. But I think that the default keys for actions might give trouble to players.
I'm having a custom GUI where you can see
listing of controls but should I make a GUI whereas people can change their controls to whatever they want?
Or just give me some advice on which would be the best keys to use?
The Default are
Q:Talk
W:Interact
E:Look
R:Uses current inventory item if any
Tab:Inventory
A:Cycles items
F1: Opens GUI with listing of controls
F5:Saves
F7:Loads
F12: Sets control back to mouse.
The mouse control method is CMI-like(Curse of Monkey Island)

Gowd Sylva

Means that the order of the letters should be..
GOWD SYLVA.

How about you make a whole thread full of topics asking for help. I could become moderator if you want. Just think of it. Thread name: Help
make some rules then let it flow.
