I was just thinking about the songs in Rob Blanc 3 and how all but one of them (the Rob Blanc theme, by wonderful Mark Lovegrove) were ripped. Does anyone have any info on these songs? 'Cuz all I know is that the song on Paul's home planet was some song by Sting. Just curious.

[MORE] Also, I played it and it got "Baked Potato" (mine was potato) after 30 guesses. It was close though, it came up with "Mashed Potatoes" after 20. Spooky.

[STILL MORE] It also got "Sea Serpent" after 20 guesses (I was thinking "Loch Ness Monster").

So I decided to do a bit of a musical CHALL... just look at the subject, OK?

Anyway, I want to see if you "alls" can make up a song that has sudden, drastic tempo and/or volume changes. ("Tempo" is the musical term for speed.) Please make it MIDI or MP3, none of that X-whatever junk. OGG is also acceptaple, as is AIFF (but please don't use AIFF unless you want the 28.8 K-ers to spank you until your bottom turns red).

This is not a contest, and there is no winner. It is open as long as forever is. In that good spirit, I will make a song that has absolutely nothing to do with this activity and post it on the thread. So, happy scoring/arranging/whatevering! Toodles!

When I'm not paying paying attention, I chew my shirt.

What do you think of this completely SCREWED UP flash?

Could you please help me on my new short story, "Natural Selection"?  I would like to know what you have to say about it.

Do you like my style? Do you like my humor? And don't be too put off, I can write very light stories as well. What else do you like and/or not like? I can deal with criticism, but please tell me what you're criticizing.

I think that the original menu theme should be kept. Instead of the new one.

Since it's supposed to be barren, I'd think it would work.Ã,  However, there are a couple things detracting from the image.Ã,  1) The building looks a bit too flat.Ã,  Simple is okay but not if it looks 2-dimensional.Ã,  You wouldn't even have to do any hard perspective work but having it even slightly at an angle so you could see a side-wall receding would do wonders.Ã, 
2) The building doesn't blend with its surroundings. The somber coloring of the building wouldn't clash too badly but with the well-lit windows, you'd assume there'd be light and shadows cast from the building.Ã,  If you're using anything other than MS-paint, you can easily add a touch of glow around the neon lights and light from the windows (it doesn't have to be precise squares of light, it could be just making the area out front a little lighter).Ã,  With all the light beaming from signs and windows, I'd assume the rectangular unit on the roof would be a little darker as well.Ã, 

I like the look, reminds me a bit of SQ3 but with the soft-textured ground & sky and the hard-edged 16-color style building, it clashes just a bit too much.

I like the buildings. There's only one nitpick with this picture: Why isn't there a K at the end of "attac"?

My boss immediately went to the doctor because he thought he was insane, and I ran out of the building. I ran so far that my legs wore out. Finally, I was in an alley that smelled of horseradish. I was suddenly at a dead end. Then... a "pack" of possums slowly ganged up on me...

PS: How exactly do we decide when one story ends and another starts?
