Mix'nMojo and AD are on the same servers. So is Adventure Gamers.

They probably expected you to go to your library and find out for yourself.

Ah, naïve game developers of old.

CMI is loved and praised now that it's not the most recent game... When it came out it many people complained that it just rehashed the humor and style of the original games. EMI comes out and they complain that its humor and style are not in the spirit of the previous games.  ???

A lot of people have said that EMI is just fine as a stand alone game, but as a MI game it's terrible. I think that's ridiculous. Nobody takes anything at fzcking face value anymore.

I am one of those persons who complained when CMI came out that it just rehashed the humour and style of the original games, yet I liked it. It's a great game, just not a Monkey Island game.

As for EMI, it just rehashed the humour and style of the original games, and I didn't like it either. I suppose it's a half decent adventure game but not one I care to replay unlike CMI, plus it's not a Monkey Island game.

You've used your "CMI is loved and praised now that it's not the most recent game" argument a few times before, but I don't agree with you. Sure, EMI is the most recent game and thus we bash it. Doesn't mean CMI has become flawless in our eyes. I don't see anyone post a "CMI was crap" thread these days, so there's no real point to post my views on it. I do see "EMI was crap" threads though.

Woop.

As for dissapointments: EMI and BS2.

Why are people talking about leet stuff???

Why aren't you posting more photoshops?!?!?

HULK... ANGRY!!!!!!

Because this compo was really more of a one off thing. Can't really do much besides Ghormak's entry, which is teh ace.

Could've been "what if CJ decided to go commercial" instead, which could fit Ghormak's entry plus others. Not that I'm criticising.

Calm down Bruce.

The ags site has 7 or so links to mirrors, no worries.

Plenty of us have it downloaded as well. It wouldn't be lost.

Still, don't mention it again. Bad mojo and all you know. Shh.

Get your sister on there. She'd really kick Andrew Dice Clay and Dennis Leary's asses.

I remember it being posted a year ago on the ezboard forums, with the exact same thread title.

It was old then too.

Darn funny though.

The link doesn't work sadly.

Edit: Weird, none of the links on your website works except the images on the front page.

Is what I get. Scotch said it worked for him earlier but that now he gets that error too. If that might help you fix it.

I too would prefer a 2d handdrawn game, but they're not gonna make it so I'm glad they didn't make it bad 3d at least.

Besides, even if it is 3d they won't lose the SnM humour.

It looks cool. The characters obviously will get refined before the games is out. I hope the softy soft renderer will be rethough also. Oh well.

NIFTY!

We haven't seen how it will be played though.

If you're interested in 800*600 resolution, you might want to check out SLUDGE which is more optimized for it. The engine is a bit harder to use though, and I don't know how helpful the community there is when it comes to techie questions.

Out of Order is an example of a 800*600 game made with it. Ignore the low res main character, he was drawn for 600*480 first then resized when the creator (who also made the engine) wanted to up the resolution and CBA to redraw all the animations :).

Oh yeah, and nice art :).

There isn't. There will be. They're making it now you see.

I didn't bother finding out a polaroid photo's real aspect ratio, or choosing good fonts or figuring out if it should be caps or not. This is just the idea:

Point being that it works as a black and white image. If you use it you've gotta figure out the points above yourself. Choose whatever colours you like as long as it's high contrast like it's now.

Iqu, I like yours, but what is the logo? The entire thing, with the faded copies of the polaroid above and below or just the one in the center? Try fading out the background between the two guys to improve contrast. Oh and the 'Studios' bit looks weird, maybe the font/outlining or placement. Either way, I'd use it if I were lgm :).

Edit: Saw tehe second one. Ignore that "what is the logo" bit :).

Operating System Concepts Sixth Edition by Abraham Silberschatz and Peter Baer Galvin.

..ok, seriously Type & Typography by Phil Baines & Andrew Haslam.

Yes, the second one I'm reading out of pure enjoyment.
