Man, this thread is somewhat old.

I wonder if anybody thought about a plugin since then?

Wich might be also interesting for those considering the use of these tools anyway:

Spine has also an option to export png frames from the animations - this combined with the option to have skins for your characters (or what ever you might want to create with this tools)can still save you some time in creating several characters. For example you might just add a skin without the need of creating all the animations you have already done for another character. (stuff like walk, use, etc.) As I have been using mainly spine I can just be sure about that tool. But I assume spriter also offers this opportunity.

Haha so fine! Looks cool. I like the look of the characters very much.

WAH! Sorry I read your post but now!
Guess I was to busy doing other stuff. Sorry.

To answer your question: I don't think it will take a year to translate the game. Yet I can't tell you how long it will take me exactly because I'm doing it on the side. (allready startet to work on my new adventure-idea)
So feel free to decide whenever you want to feature it - I feel very honored anyway  weheee - Would be cool, if you tell me when you feature(d) it.

Realy cool to see such positive respose.

Okaaay... I've started translating the game (I hope you aren't disappointed when it's finished)

Even though it will take a while. I'll translate bit by bit while I'm already doing concepts for my next project ;-)

I just can agree with the others. Great artstyle !!!
I'm looking forward to give it a try.

yet another dead downloadlink  :(
Anybody got a working download?

Hey there XAGE sounds very cool!!!!

I'm highly interested and wanted to give it a try...but...I couldn't find a working download of v0.4 (the download link on your blogspot page seems to be dead) Would be cool if you (or somebody else, who's reading this post) could give us a working download ;-)

Well, I solved it (even as the male intern) and I think the inside jokes are more of a hindrance than the puns. Overall a fun little game!

Things like "Ich mach dich zum Frauenheld" and that kind of stuff are puns wich might get hard to translate or be replaced by conversations wich lack of joke. ;-)

Thanks alot for the positive feedback :-)

I'm not sure if a translated versn would be worth making because of the games "insider"-nature. Besides that there are some play on words wich could make things even more confusing.

But hey, I'm happy with the result, therefor motivated and I already have got ideas for a new adventure ( wich would be more compatible with general public by the way:-P )
Sooo there's hope :-P but I don't want to promise to much yet.

This is my first AGS Project.

You play as an intern who is asked to create a computergame (while you don`t have any idea of gamedevelopement)

Actually it's just a biiig inside joke for my colleagues - so don't be to harsh with your critics on the puzzles ;-)
Some of them are based on inside jokes - therefor they might feel a littlebit strange ("Hey, how should I have known THAT?!" ). :-P

Nevertheless as I had some work with this game and grew on AGS by creating it - I also wanted to show it to the AGS comunity.

I was looking for such a plugin as well.

There's another tool like spriter called spine (you can find it here: http://esotericsoftware.com/)
I backed both projects - spriter and spine and if there would be a plugin to use that kind of animation it would be great.

I think it can be very time-saving when creating characteranimations for an adventure. Of course frame animations do have their very own charme and if you wand to make a retro look-game frame animation is the only way.
But I'm an artist in the first place and I love the easy way to use of AGS (because lacking of programming-skills :-P) and I wouldn't want to do just games with a retro look.
So why not granting the possibility? ;-)

EDIT:
BTW I thing this thred shouldn`t be namend "high detail 2d character animation tool" - actually it`s not about the details within those tools - it`s about bone animation ;-) - could be confusing for people roaming the formums

Ah. Great! Tanks Alot,  guys.
Could have thought of that Kind of a Solution by myself - at least When i read your solution it Looks so clear and logical.
I guess this Shows Once more Clearly that I'm actually not a programmer.

(Sorry for the capitals. My Pad tries to apply spelling rules of my Language.)

Hi there.
I´ve started an AGS project recently - I recognized that there is a newer version of AGS out there than the one I already had installed.
But here`s a problem that occured with the new version:

I used to (let`s say) give two out of three rooms the same music at the room settings, so that the music will continue playing when the playr changes from room A to room B (and backwards). It just changed when the player was entering (and changing back when leaving) room C.

With the new version and the playMusic (1);  or   aMusic1.Play(); -script the music stops and then starts when the player is changing from room A to B.

Is there a posibility with the new music-scripts to let music play throughout several rooms as long as these rooms use the same music-file?
