I cannot use F12 (taking a screenshot) when the player cannot be controled the ego (in intro for example).

That's because Onkeypressed() wont be executed when the game is in "wait" mode, you may need to tweak the script a bit.

Farl, right click on the polygon/fill, etc tool icons to bring up a menu.

The gradient colour range, etc. settings are accessible from the palette dialog.

Heh Imaginary lame characters (though this time it's not that imaginary) often leads to inspiration of short fun games, such as those little willy gamez, orb blanc, andy p3n1s gamez, ert.

AGS Games in Production / Re:Black Cauldron

I think this thread fits more in the C&C forum, unless he gives more descriptive info about the game.

There're lots of tutorial, help threads here already, please read them first:

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=2252

If you're not specific to your problems, people cant help you much, so read the forum rules, use descriptive subjects, and post here if only you have a specific problem that you don't know or cant solve.

And of course:

Anyway, welcome aboard and happy AGSing! :D

* Gilbot V7000a is surprised that this thread had become a Jacky Chan discussion, being from Hong Kong himself, he resists to talk about Jacky Chan.

To make this post stay on topic:
I'm an editor for a local textbook publication company, nothing exciting, as some of you knew about it already.

No, you don't need additional codecs to play FLICs, and it works in both the DOS and WIN engine too. (crap AVIs wont play in DOS engine)

General Discussion / Re:The AGSer's car

Too bad the number plate system is so simple in HK here, we have these systems:

####
or X ####
or XX ####

where the X's are English alphabets, the #### can be a 1, 2, 3 or 4 digit number.

The best I can think of, AGS related is:
AC 1337

But then, anyway, I don't have a driving license, and I'm technically broke, so I don't have money to buy a car.

It's not funny, as they didn't review Chodius!
#7535
Hehe real funny, but one thing that got into my mind is that why there are 2 separate panels at the end of the swedish version of "police" instead of one in the English version? (that'll give a slightly different impression to the reader I think)

Please read the forum rules,  use descriptive post subjects.

I  think you may make 3 inventory items, 1. closed bottle with pill inside, 2. opened empty bottle and 3. pill

So when you interact with item1 in your inventory, just remove it from (LoseInventory(blah)) the inventory and add item2 and item3 to your inventory.

Beginners' Technical Questions / Re:intro

Put it in where you want the video to be played. For example, if you want it to be played after an interaction, just put it in  the script of that interaction.

In your case, I guess you want the video to be played when the game starts, so you mmay put it in the Player enter screen after fade-in interaction for the first room loaded (depends on which room your player character starts at, if it's 0, then it's in intro.crm).

The game_start() function in the global script is for initialization of variables, etc. before the first room is loaded, so don't put much "executing" commands there, or else you may get a crash or a warning.
#7538
Hmmm did you test your game using the same resolution in both version?
Because use RawSaveScreen() or RawRestoreScreen() repeatedly in higher res can possibly cause slow down if the computer is not fast enough.
