Now there is something else I'm wondering.
As Erenan asked; "Why ethics?"

Most of us think that if a good God exists, He would judge us with our morals more importantly than our worships and religious necessities; don't we think that way? God wants us to be good people.
But why? Why we suppose the morals to be so important?
I think it is just because we can't think of something else to be judged with. Only the worships/religious works and the moral actions. Does someone in world think that God will judge people according on how much they jump with scissors in their hands ("OK, you have jumped with scissors 6 hours per day, you may go to Heaven") how many apples they ate instead of oranges ("You have eaten 50,000 oranges but only 20,000 apples! Go to Hell!") or something else unreasonable to judge you can even imagine?

Why we believe we will be judged by our moral actions is because there is nothing other reasonable act (except worship) to do.

And another point:
How can we be sure God is really good?
I have an aphorism: "God is not evil, Evil is God."
Of course I can't prove my aphorism, but it is what I believe. How can we be sure God won't send us ALL people to Hell; if he is able to burn the people eternally who were good, but not believing in true religion?

I agree with most of you (especially Dorcan, Vince Twelve, Meowster and Helm).
You might have known about my beliefs; I'm a Muslim who is not so religious and too bound to his religion. You people have just told my thoughts about religion. I want to add somethings.

Imagine you die. You were always a religious person; you had done every necessities of your religion. And you believe that the infidel people, who didn't believe in your God even if they were aware of your religion, will burn in Hell forever. You are happy, because you know you will go to Heaven.
But something is wrong. They aren't angels who are taking you to the gates. They are the ghosts of Ancient Egyptian soldiers. They take you to the throne of Osiris.
Well, you HAD to believe in Osiris. Because you knew Ancient Egyptians had such a god. Now you have to go to Hell just like the other infidel people, the %99,999999 of the all living humans.

How fair...

Nope, you have to find a way to get to other places in the elevator :)
Oh, it is my bad... I have finally managed to finish the demo. Really nice work; now this is one of the games I'm looking forward to get completed :)
#365
I have played the demo. The game looks really promising :) Good luck!
*Does the demo ends when...
Spoiler
...we enter the elevator? I couldn't find anything else to do after getting inside the elevator. A "This is the end of the demo" message would be good (in case you hadn't already put it and I couldn't walk through there).

*You really don't have to include your "Documents and Settings/ Robin Westbrook.ROBIN/ Desktop " folders inside the package files :P  (I think you put them by mistake?)

yeah, x+n where x is you and n is the size of your penis... err, in inches.
In that case, I will be able to date with very young girls.
Both bad and good   :'(   (But not good for me as I didn't want to date with younger girls.)

Quote...is usually stated as the ideal age for a man's partner

Umm... You may be right for the first thing you say
So in the y=f(x) ,  [f(x)= (x/2)+7 ] function, the x=male age and y=female age.

As I am not female, this formula can't be used for finding the maximum ideal age for my partner, only the minimum.
If y variable can't be used for males, then is there any other formula for the weird guys like me who are fond of mature women?
#369
Quoteremember the rule: take your age, divide it by two (round up), add seven = minimum ethical age of courtship!!1

Let's adapt this rule to the ones who want to court with someone much older...
18-7= 11    11.2=22

22 is still young for me :-\

Yes, I'm interested in women who are much older than me (and yes, I used to love/be fond of some girls in my age, but now that feeling is so far away from me). I usually go better with females older than me; the girls in/under my age find me boring, but elder ones find me mature enough.

I played it.
It was an interesting experience, but still far away from to give any creep. I know it is just a non-adventure game, but it still looks so empty. Maybe the whole Midnight Spirit Board could be adapted inside a full adventure game?
By the way, I wanted to show you this: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=12421.msg374248#msg374248 I had an idea that uses the spirit calling board.

Yahtzee, we worship you, you created us!

Seriously, I just can't understand these "Please come back, Yahtzee!" topics. As I know, Adventure Game Studio is a tool that helps us make adventure (and other kind of) games, and the Adventure Game Studio Community is a place where the AGS users and other adventure players MAY meet if they wish. There is not such a rule that every AGS user must be a member of the AGS community, is there? If someone doesn't wish to be inside the community (or wants to have his own community), just don't disturb him.

This is so fake:
Spoiler

First he looks in the hallway and finds nothing. Returns to the main room. Then for no reason he goes to the hallway again. All of a sudden there is this girl. And before running off he makes sure you can get a clear view at the ghost.

I mean c'mon  :P
No,
Spoiler
I think the ghost was visible at the first time he looks. The ghost was crouching, it is the reason why it was seen hard.

Anyway, this didn't scare me, but it was funny to watch.

Do you know about that interactive animation thing where a little doll is committing suicide/hurting herself? (there was a topic about it on AGS Forums, let me find it). It spooked me out so much, I believe this kind of 'tension' could be created in a short length horror game.
Did you ever find it? I would like to see that.

Here it is: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=21643 I had to dig my old posts to find this.
This still spooks me out.

Wow, such great works in Release Something! I liked them very much, especially the works by auriond and Sparky.

There are some artworks of mine for a project that I started working after canceling Lost in the Nightmare 2.

They are photomanipulation/vector art like LitN 2, and the game is still in the same style.

But I must confess that the project is stilil on a very early phase even though I made that artworks a long while ago. Many things about this game are still unclear.

True... Now I think such a short length game don't have to be scary for its tension and story (which would be too short). But I still disliked the 'screamer' type of sudden horror scenes; it could be much better if I saw the ghosts hand fading in on the screen slowly, IMO. I still think it is possible to scare the players without those sudden scenes, but with some more elemets in a short game. Do you know about that interactive animation thing where a little doll is committing suicide/hurting herself? (there was a topic about it on AGS Forums, let me find it). It spooked me out so much, I believe this kind of 'tension' could be created in a short length horror game.

To back on the topic, I must confess I envied the graphics of The House. It is just the style that I had tried to succeed in LitN 2, but could never succeed.

It was so spooky! I had to leave the game after the 3rd room, because of its sudden scenes (my heart isn't so healthy in these days, I'm having a tachycardia now). This game could be much better if it didn't use the cheap horror.
