Played, got stuck at the arcade game, quit.

But the adventure game part is splendid. It really gives that old school feel, like playing Curse Of Enchantia or Lure Of The Temptress.

And like Ghost said, the dialogues are just right in length. Often in adventure games you're scared of starting a conversation because you know another cup (or two) of coffee will be needed to get through it;) Here, not the case. Just the right amount to flesh out the world and characters, without needless chatter about the weather. The puzzles are the meat of the game here, and they are really cool, actually!;)

Well done, Orsies!;)

EDIT: Oh, and I LOVE the Vague illness idea.

I'm stuck in

Spoiler
Where a detective is investigating the two bodies. Detective concluded that she was killed by someone hiding beneath the bed, avenging the drowned kid. I examined the bodies, computer, blood stains and bed.

Josiah told me about this demo being out - your brother seems dead proud of you guys;)

I'm gonna try it tonight!;)

Looked through the list and rated the games I've played over the years (turned out there were quite a few, and going through the list I found some titles that grabbed my attention and added them to my "games to play" list [in my head]).

My conclusions:

Shitty Quest deserves more downloads!!! Come on folks, play it and rate it!:)

Also, as there were a couple of games I really didn't like, I felt strange about expressing my real opinion... (as  not to discourage the authors, learning curve and all that). I decided to be gentle, but honest, even if it makes me an asshole... Still, fortunately the vast majority I played I liked, and it was great to be reminded why this community is so amazing- the games we make are awesome!;)

How do you mash it, then? I always end up with lumps in mine and don't feel like I enjoy them enough...

Also, just to say, I prefer Daemons In The Attic. Everyone's got ghosts in the attic- that's a fairly common thing. Like skeletons in the closet. But Daemons... they're just so much cooler!:)

Favourite food- mashed potato. (roll)

Shocking...  8-0

State Of Decay is on my to-check list. Seems cool, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to get into it and then be unable to play/make any more games for a long time;)

But as for Walking Dead- anyone knows when episode 2 is out?

And also, WHY DID THEY MAKE A CHARACTER BASED ON PEWDIEPIE? (seriously, just look at that guy Luke!;) Are they trying to appeal to his teenage fans?)

I don't know Ghost that well but he comes across as an incredibly nice guy. I've actually grown to really appreciate that in life. Most people you meet are nice, but very few genuinely are.

I second July, and maybe this time I'll be able to make it (meeting just a few of you in real life during AdvX was surreal; it would probably be even better with more time to talk).

Perhaps irrelevant, but I just got an award today for a game released in 2012...

http://www.virtualinn.it/site/virtual-inn-awards-2013-miglior-avventura-grafica/

Hence proving that maybe this whole release date thing is not that important anyway?;) Clearly media elsewhere don't pay too much attention to it after all. I am officially changing my mind about Primordia, too late or not.

Also, just wanted to say: hey, I got an award! Yay!:)

Elvira 2?

That's correct. Elvira 2: Jaws Of Cerberus.

Only the best Amiga game. Ever. ;)

You know, you can always scan the thing and add it as bonus material for Steam and GOG buyers (not sure if Desu supports such thing as bonus material). I'd certainly love to see this :)

Scanning 80 or so pages?... Sounds like fun!;) At least I could leave out a page with my PayPal details written down;)

Nice module, but I got s crash when setting speed to 1 and running it for a while. (didn't save the error message but it was sometime in the afternoon;) and about transparency values having to be between 0 and 100 )

I have a simple question (I apologize if it doesn't qualify for a new topic, but I really need to know this):

Do alpha sprites in GUI cause more slowdown than if they were used as a room object?

I'm thinking of using GUI for a noise filter for the game, but not sure if this is a good idea, due to performance issues.

I've also upgraded TCL interface slightly, so now text labels are displayed on a alpha sprite with transparency. If GUI is not visible most of the time, does it affect performance too (as if it was constantly taking up  memory)?

The game's Golden Ending (I didn't even know that that's what it's called) is now common knowledge to most Cat Lady fans. Back when I did it, I remember considering giving out a special prize to the first person who managed to get it (a notebook that contains sketches, doodles, scribbles, to-dos and dialog WIPs from the game; since I never went with that idea it's still resting on a pile of junk on top of my fridge;) ) )
I'm afraid I would've broken this competition - had that ending before the game even came out (due to pre-order 'week ahead of everybody' promo) and - as mentioned earlier in this topic - wasn't even aware it's something special :)

Cheater.... ;)

Not sure if that's been used before or not, but here's one of my favorites:

(GUI removed, too obvious with this one;) )

Interesting. It's not Dark Seed 2 is it?

First time I knew the answer... and I'm too late.

Can the next one be a horror game too?... (so I would maybe have a sliver of hope of guessing what it is?;) )

I do like the look of this!;)

Reminds me of my Amiga days.

I'll try it when I've got some free time and I'll be back to report what I think about it!;)

Thanks to m0ds I got myself a copy too. Awesome game so far, Grim!

Also featured on the Tropes now 8-) http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/TheCatLady

I'm glad;)

But that Tropes thing has been there for a while now. It puzzles me that there are people who know more about my game than I do... ;) The game's Golden Ending (I didn't even know that that's what it's called) is now common knowledge to most Cat Lady fans. Back when I did it, I remember considering giving out a special prize to the first person who managed to get it (a notebook that contains sketches, doodles, scribbles, to-dos and dialog WIPs from the game; since I never went with that idea it's still resting on a pile of junk on top of my fridge;) )
