Are you telling me there is such a thing as fat nurses? :'(

My friend, I'm afraid they are also ugly.

I have mixed feelings so far. On one hand, I like the graphics, though couldn't help feeling the game would contribute by having higher resolution visuals, but that I can easily get used to. On the other hand, the sense of mystery ahd terror has been slightly ruined for me by

discovery that there are giant, laser- shooting, Doctor Who-like robots involved.  I guess that'd be fine with people who like robots, though.... ;)

So I was just getting into it, solved few puzzles, talked to some characters ( the writing's pretty good ) when suddenly

my character's view has been changed to his talking portrait and from then on I moved around as a square head, and needless to say, that usually spoils the atmosphere in games;) I thought, screw it, at some point it will sure get back to normal walking view, so I carried on, sliding towards the dark area to look for a ladder, but it was nowhere to be found...

I decided to save and try later, maybe look for a walkthrough, but clicking on MENU button on top of the screen catapulted me to the main menu. I guess I've lost all my progress so far...  :'(

So maybe I'll get back to it at some point and finish it, as I really liked the atmosphere , with few exceptions, especially now, Christmas time, when walking to work through the empty streets of Exeter had made me feel like the last remnant of the human race, the city so quiet it felt almost abandoned... Your game has a similar feel to it, and I like this kind of apocalyptic scenarios. There's a lot you managed to get right, but the version I played suffered from quite a few fun-spoiling bugs. It's a shame, because I feel I have missed out on a lot of stuff that was still to come, even though it involved

Hello MT. I've never seen you before. but you seem all right.

Like every Friday night, I'm at work. I'm a male nurse. There is no need to laugh... - I'm nothing like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents. Nursing is hard work... and most ofthe time it's rather sad.

Turns out this keyboard here must've been damaged by fat nurses leaning on it over the years- the space bar hardly works, and when it does it sounds like someone's hitting a washing machine with a saucepan... It reminds me of Paul Sheldon in Misery and his letter 'n' deprived typewriter. Each time I want to press space, it's a bloody battle...

At the start of Uncharted 3 there's this quote about dreamers of the night and dreamers of the day... I loved it. I like to think I will be one of those people that make stuff happen forthem (see there, space bar didn't work, again...). One day soon, I will finish my game, get famous, quit nursing and prove to mywife and son that the last three years I spent inside my own head filled with strange unreal worlds I built were worth something.

See you.

You're probably right Chris, but it felt strangely reassuring to have someone tell you step by step what to do, even if we were taking a longer road to get there;) Personally, I know nothing about these things and all attempts to google some solution up just left me more confused. In the end of the day, I'm happy, my girlfriend can go on facebook again and the AOL guy must be feeling pretty good about himself, too. Maybe he'll even get a pat on the shoulder from his boss for receiving such a positive feedback;)

I just hope they didn't charge me too much for that 25 minute call..... ;)

Thanks LUniqueDan, but I've managed to sort it out by talking to AOL helpline guy and following a very long set of instructions- I had to create new passwords and networks but it worked! I was so happy I took my time and did the survey afterwards grading that guy 'excellent' for everything, despite his strong indian accent which at times I found difficult to understand. I don't understand what we did, but I'm just really glad it's fixed:)

My laptop doesn't detect my wireless network all of a sudden... It detects loads of other nearby networks but mine isn't even on the list anymore. Same with my PS3- can't connect wirelessly with that either. The PC is fine, it's connected with a cable. Also, the WLAN light on the router doesn't light up anymore, so I'm guessing it's problem is with the router. It worked fine for a couple of years... but do you think it could've broken suddenly? My son keeps playing with it sometimes ( driving me nuts!) so maybe he did it, little bugger, like licked it or bit it or something... ;(

Should I assume that wireless capability of the router is gone forever and call the service provider's helpline (and ask them to send a new one) or is there some way I can fix it? Any ideas, folks? Maybe someone had a similar experience? I'd appreciate some advice, as I'm really lost here...

I might keep it for a while longer, opinions?

Hmm... I'd need to see that moustache AND the red dress together to decide... ;)

Wait... Which one is west? Is it the right or... left?... Oh, I'm just totally lost. I read that long post and I don't understand that analogy at all. Some good points have been made, but for the most part it's just extremely confusing. So what if adventure games are zombies? I've always LOVED zombies and can't wait for the 'zombie apocalypse' to come at last! :)

Oh, thank God, the forums are back!

It felt like there was a hole inside of me I couldn't fill...

Strange, considering I don't post often... But I read others posts all the time.

During this downtime I found myself reading Skyrim Wiki. At least now I know how to join the Dark Brotherhood! ;) ---> Unsuspecting folks of Skyrim- beware! ;)

Still, the post is taken and bits of the soundtrack I heard are pretty damn good!  8)

Grim, to my knowledge, I haven't published yet anything for the soundtrack, so what "bits" are you talking about?

I had Dualnames hum them to me in my dreams.  ;D

Also, I'm not sure solo saxophone tunes would fit a heavy sci-fi game... but then again, maybe?...  :-\  It's just that for some reason I imagined Kenny G's kind of sax pop. Now, if it was some really dark and strange modern jazz.. that could be an interesting combination.

Still, the post is taken and bits of the soundtrack I heard are pretty damn good!  8)

I pre-ordered it today!!! ( PS3 version)

I do happen to own a 52 inch TV - ( I'm shallow... and I like playing games:) )  so it's gonna be great to play it on a console!

Not really excited by snowy landscapes...  but I'm sure they'll pull it off. And it might be a nice change after a tropical island Banoi from Dead Island ;) For me these games are more about interaction with people and problem solving. And stealing. I did a lot of stealing in Oblivion... ;)

Big fan of both Oblivion and Fallout 3 here!!!

Finished it!

Good game, with a very strong retro feel to it. A bit on the short side... but I think the main reason is that less people than expected have participated. I mean, we were talking about a thousand people at first, right? So, considering that it was a lot less than that, big thanks to Baron for putting it all together.

Personally, I think that for the next project, if there's ever gonna be one, we should do something more crazy, with  more room for Dali-esque imaginery that would involve lots of different art styles and ideas all connected by a Alice in Wonderland kind of storyline... which doesn't mean the story in Draculator II wasn't good! The writing was superb, and so was the voice acting! I didn't expect our hero to talk with a foreign accent... so it was a fantastic surprise, so funny! I also noticed that Icey did the lines of the blonde scientist- that part about a bonzai just cracked me up:)

Overall, I'd say great game, 4 out of 5. I'm happy and proud that I've contributed to this project. Thanks to all of you!!! ;)

I demand this pervy pirate has a role in the next OSD game hahaha!  ;D  ;D Just think of the possibilities!!!  ;D ( just add a parrot on his shoulder and imagine all the jokes about his bird that he wouldn't get)
#455
The pirate looks even meaner, with what appears to be an open zipper and his willy out....  :P  :)

But... the Halloween has only just started! ;) I'm still at work... must wait to play it...

I'm really looking forward to it ( unless the background I made was removed and replaced by a better one, in that case doom on you! ;) ).

Mmm... so maybe we will be making pies this Halloween after all?..  :P

I'm scared to say anything in this thread.... On one hand, I respect the Icey for trying and chasing the dream, no matter how silly- it's still a dream. On the other- I feel he takes it too far and makes mockery of everyone else who actually works harder and produces real, completed games. I want to comment on that... then I feel like an asshole for bringing him down and start thinking I'm like those Facebook bullies ( after all, it's so much easier to be critical on the internet, when you're not actually facing any consequences of making a strong statement).

So yeah... We should be sensitive to a certain degree, but if something's shit, I wish we could just say it's shit....

I love the first style but the second, cartoon-y style doesn't really appeal to me... I love the idea though!

I think I tried tweening volume before and it didn't work for me... If it works, that's the best news of the day! ( must  test it asap ... ;) )

I love Tween module 8)
