It's fun to play with other people, and I wanted to try my hand at creating an A.I. player.

The basic gameplay is you and your dog need to play your cards in order from smallest to largest, but you can't communicate. You must try to "sync" your minds, in order to play
your cards in the correct order. Yeah, it's a weird game. 

Thank you to VampireWombat for creating the Underworld background, card and character art, and selmiak for creating the music.

This is a MAGS entry, and barely fits the "Death Defying" theme to be honest. Enjoy!

Wow, so many amazing looking entries! Unfortunately I have 7 more hours before I can play, but it's something to look forward to.

Just putting the finishing touches on it, woohoo! I'd say it fitting the theme is a stretch, but I really just wanted to make a game. And I had a hard time coming up with something.
This has been a rough month.    But I can't wait to play some great MAGS games!

It's funny, this theme seems to lend itself to non-adventure games. I think we may have a few this month.

I'm in the US (Oregon state), and in our state just about everything is locked down. You can get groceries, and medicine, and restaurants can sell food, but only curb-side takeout or delivery. We even have weed delivery which.. I never thought I'd live to see the day.  It's okay to go outside, as long as you distance yourself from others.
But it differs state to state, until we get a national law I guess.

I feel really scared for people who can't work.. I can't imagine the stress. I think, at least in the US, it's going to get worse for a couple months, and lockdowns will probably stay through summer. We don't have nearly enough testing yet, but maybe in a month the testing will ramp up. A lot of people still don't think it's a problem.

Oregon has had about 4 deaths, but not enough testing. Our governor is building two makeshift field hospitals, just in case. Which frankly makes me happy because it says she is taking it seriously. I don't want people to die, especially if they could have been saved if enough beds were available. The world has survived these things before, but this is not a ride anyone wants to be on. Stay safe everyone.

@Slasher When I click the download button, and the options window pops up, it's blank. I tried other games, and it's working okay.
Not sure what would cause it.

Hello AGS'ers
I'm creating a non-adventure/card game for this month's MAGS. I feel confident I can finish the game in time, and I'm hoping to find an artist and muscian who are interested in working with me.

Minimum I'm looking for:

Resolution is 320 x 200
Pixel art
1 background with 1 or 2 animations (ie. clouds moving, a lit torch)
3 characters (no walk cycles, some idle animations like blinking eyes, or checking your watch)
1 Playing card GUI

If there is time I'd love help with other GUI elements (control panel, start screen, etc..), a title screen, and a couple end scene animations.
But these aren't crucial.

For music, I need at least one ambient piece that will play during most of the game. I'm thinking it will be something suspensful... the music played
during "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" comes to mind.

I am open to ideas, and open to the style of most everything. If it doesn't get done in time, I will still finish and post when done.

After a crazy 2019, I'm trying to get back into games. I have an idea I like, but it may not fit the 'Misfit' theme as well as Slashers.
I've always wanted to do a hitman/heist type game. Hitmen are misfits, right?
