Your light is off.

The light is a circle (even extending to the near post) which is wrong. It should be an oval, because of the perspective. It shines more on the road than it should. It should have the center of the oval on the lamp post, and not as it is now. When the light is shining on a vertical wall (underneath the window) it shouldn't highlight all of the wall, but just the extruded parts of the brick (the upper part of a brick), if the brick is not completly flat.

Also, the window of the bar should behave more like a mirror (especially at night) and there are no reflections in it now.

But don't let my ramblings distract you, overall, the picture has more going for it than against it. Keep it up!

2x:

A is the original image. To fix the neck (it looks like C.Ronaldo now) I pushed a few pixels on B, and brought the shirt collar up and moved the head down a bit to shorten the neck  on C.

D is what we have from the previous correction. I fixed the arm (it looked skinny there) on E, and made the sleeve more 3D-ish on F (also fixed the other sleeve to match)

Using the corrected image G, I moved the nose a bit down, added eyebrows and fixed the lips on H.

Your waist on I was looking mighty wrong, so I corrected the shape on J and also made the shirt overlap the pants and not the other way around.

On K you can see that her ribcage is too big and long for a female, so I hugged her =D tight till I came up with L.

On M, I just recoloured the whole image with some brighter colours, and also deleted about 8 unnecessary colours. I've redrawn the shading to give it more depth, too. If you're going to animate, try using as little colours as possible. So she has now 3 colours tones for skin and shirt and 2 colours for her pants.

On second look, I think my colours are bad =(, but you can find someone with better colour sense than me allmost anywhere.

Anyway, I'm getting to carried away in this...Cheers!

Well, comparing your first and last image you're doing pretty good.

I think maybe you should change the colours a bit, making the pants a bit more blue and make the skin more redish (a tiny bit). But that's just me being picky =D. Also maybe put in some minor details like a bracelet (if she wears one), earings etc to spice it up a little.

When you strip the image to the bare esentials (1), you see that the proportions are off. The eyes should be in the (vertically) center of the head, females don't have wide shoulders, females have wide hips, females also have narrower waists and so forth (anatomy class).
I made you some proportions that could probably fit you(2) Those are not realistic proportions, btw.
You should use thoose to come up with (3). If you examine 2 and 3, you'll see that they are not exactly the same in some aspects (the head is a bit smaller, waist is a bit higher etc.), but tweaking the pixels is what pixelart is all about =D. Just follow your "nose" and try untill you get it to look nice.

I suggest you take a peak at some basic anatomy books and try to think in three dimensions, and that should make a huge difference.

Anyway, I don't know what your sister looks like, so I probably drawn something that doesn't resemble her much. If you are trying to make the drawing look like her, try to higlight her prominent features (eg. hairstyle, tone of skin, posture...)

I hope this helps.

Edit: Hmm... (3) shoulders still look too broad, or is it just me?

Well, they can find out about it after the release and they can ban you then (if they want to). Offcourse, that wouldn't stop the game from circulating in certain circles.
On the other side if the game had an "approved by Adams" stamp on it, it wouldn't hurt the games popularity at all, now.

I don't know, every choice you make can lead to a bad end.
On the other side, being an optimist, you could believe in yourself. It may not turn out right, but you could sleep easier that way.

On the bottom line, it's your choice. Maybe you should thought of this before deciding to make the game (yeah, grandma, I told you so, general after the battle crap lalala lines here).

F* it man, it won't kill you if they ban you. I mean, it's important, but it's not lethal.
* Jim Reed goes play smartass somwhere else.

Well, actually, this looks like a moral issue.

If they don't respond or allow it, you haven't got anything to worry about. But the question arises about what would you do if you get a negative answer from them?
Would you continue making the game? If yes, nothing short of a legal ceisse and decist (sp) from their lawyer could stop you.

So you have to make a decision between a moral action (hard way, more risk), or the less moral action (easy way, practically no risk).

Well, the choice is yours, and the concenqences that go with it.

If I'd put myself into your position this time, I'd choose the hard way. I mean, I wouldn't do to others what I wouldn't want done to myself. But that's just me.

Maybe we should rig laser systems (eg. movie theft alarm ones) in a net just far enough from earth to be able to react. Yeah, it would cost (maintenance and puting a very large number of satelites in space), but it's a good idea.

I dunno, the sun is smaller here...

Not only did we do that, but back when I was at primary school, we had a game called "Kegga" which basically involved about ten people sitting in a circle with one person in the middle who had to stand there for as long as they could whilst the rest of the kids would kick them in the shins and calf muscles.
Good game that...

Hahaha, we play something similar to this day. It's qute painfull and fun! Basicaly, you have to catch your friend off guard and hit him as hard as you can in three allowed spots...

The shoulder relocator punch: Show a high-five, and when he's trying to high-five you, you just drop it (your fist) on his shoulder and then laugh.
The limp-maker punch: Same as above, but the punch goes into the muscle just above his knee. Very nice pain effect when your friend is sitting.
And the famous leg bender: While walking, hit him with your knee in the upper leg muscles. Guranteed three day limp.
Be warned: don't play this game drunk, as it will probably escalate in serious pain, especially if there is more than two contestants. You will not know who's "drinking" and who's "buying."

The fun part begins when he tries to chase you for revenge while cursing =D

Ahem, yes, it's a stupid game, and off topic but it's a reckognised tradition over here.
Err...a really stupid game.

Mars Triology by Kim Stanely Robinson (an sf book) uses the space elevator idea on Mars. Someone blows it up, so they build another haha!

I'm more in favor of the cartwheel design by Michael Z. Williamson in his book "Freehoold", where they build a giant rotating wheel/space station that has the outer rim of it in space and the atmosphere. Coupled with a huge linear railway up a steep mountain with rocket propelled launch at the top, I think maybe it could work.

But, not in the near future IMO.

My vote for ShiverMeSideways if I'm not too late.

Offcourse, if you wanted to, I don't se how any law could stop you from using it. But why would the law legalise it? As I see it, law is made by politicians, who are elected by the majority, and until the majority feel it's good, they will not want it legalised. As an individual I'd vote for the party who doesn't want it legalised.
As it stands, marijuana is illegal in most of the world (is it?), that points most of the people are against marijuana.

There are some good points going for marijuana, but, IMO, they don't overweight the bad ones.
#594
I wouldn't like to see that awfull shit (marijuana) legalised or even advertised as good, and I've used it for 8 years, daily and in big quantities (up to 20 joints a day) because marijuana is plain bad for people, especialy in a cummulative way, that is, the more you smoke it (talking time and volume wise) the worse the bad sides of its use get pronounced.
And no matter what people may think, it is a habit forming drug and makes the user want more of it each time.

Avast supplies an offline installer also, just scroll down on the download page and look for regional versions with their sizes listed on the right side. The offline installer is about 30 mb.

Gunstar heroes - Sega genesis: Super arcade action!

Front Mission - Snes: Old school tactical rpg.

Jagged Alliance v1.13 - Win: No comment. No competitors.

Football Manager 07/08 (the new one sucks) - Win: the notorious time hugger.

And a special two dungeon crawlers:
IVAN and DoomRL.
IVAN for the complete unfairness of the difficulty level and DoomRL for the atmosphere.
