Yes, chupa-chups used zool (amiga) if I remember correctly.
Also there is pepsi-man (ps1) and a few others.

If it's not a problem, I'd very much like to get my hands on that code, GarageGothic.
Would you be kind enough and pass it along?
#525
It's not possible directly, but SteveMcCrea in his ags 3d module did it. Maybe try PM him.
I put it on the next version wishlist back there somwhere. But as CJ said, he's quite busy, so I don't expect to be implented anytime soon.

Adjust height of table and chair legs if needed, add colour and texture.

Nice work AG!

Cheers!

I have given this topic much thought.

The problem that doesn't let you finish a big project like a game in ags is that you have no motivation left after you run off the first 'steam'.

Not to in deeply in my reasoning, all you need to do is to divide your project into chunks that you can complete in a single session. If you have too many open ends, your motivation will will go down the drain.

An example of this method would be, let's say, you drawing a character.

On the first session, your goal would be to make the character outline. On the second session, your goal would be to colour it in. On the third session you would make it walk in two directions, and so on.

By reaching a goal your sense of self-acomplishment would give you that much needed motivation.

So don't bite off more than you can chew. ;)

Yes, if I did this game without animation, the shadows would certainly be possible. But as I said, this is not a game I'm making, but just some lineart experiments.

Hahahaha, I must change the topic now. XD

You might try out the walkcycle generator made by SSH.

Try this and let me know is it any better, please.

EDIT: Or better yet, try this:

Added ssome arm swing and coloured the legs a bit. Added 2px on the head (dunno if you will like that) and made some minor adjustments all around. And added a shade to the shirt.

Tweaked a lot here, #1 and #2 lost the arm. Some new legs here also, many minor tweaks. Added a new character (sailor)

Thanks Chicky!

The eyes were a big issue....I'm still not decided on implementing details or not. I mean, if I add eyes, I might as well add fingers, shoelaces, noses, pockets, etc. and that is a long road there.

Why did you use light gray? I mean I used it on my previous b&w chars, but just as an outline.

Indy, I'm seriously thinking about your modifications on the arms. I'm undecided yet.

Anyway, presenting the mechanic (nice cap), the man from Texas (check out that moustache!), and the bad-ass vampire-hunting priest!

Sorry, Danman, I really have very little expirience with animating. You could try to get an gif to png exporter (if you have that animation as an animated gif) and crop the frames one by one, then import it back to AGS.

I think ProgZmax knows a lot about ProMotion, try aking him nicely via PM. I'm sure he can explain how to do it there.

Haha Scarab, where did you dig up that? I'd be very glad if it was on spectrum, so I can play it on my mobile!

Animation is a pain in the behind, so I have an idea how to make it very less painfull. You see, the chars don't animate, They just fade in&out of the required positions (something like a comic), and have a few gestures for talking. It's hard to explain, but just magine them using only key-frames. I think it should make a stylish game, and as an added bonus, get rid of those hard to do and time consuming animations that I suck at. =)

Yes, the breast was an issue, I'm working on it.
* Jim Reed goes back to tweaking pixels.

EDIT: Yes mr.Matti, I see the resemblance. I hope it's okay with you to use it anyway?

EDIT2:

The boots are...doubtfull.
