I've been searching and I think this has not been asked before. So I decided to post it.

I think this function is necesary because of Dynamic sprites created from existing images. Since you can close the game pressing a key combination like: Alt+F4 or Ctrl+Alt+Del->End process or any other way. And I can't control this in order to delete those dynamic sprites.

If there is any other possibility to delete the sprites please tell me.

Thanks.

Ive read in the manual global messages are not supported anymore nevertheless when I create a game translation I find there is a long list with the typical default global messages:

CHARACTER

Sorry, not now.

Restore

Cancel

Select a game to restore:

Save

Type a name to save as:

Replace

The save directory is full. You must replace an existing game:

Replace:

With:

Quit

Play

Are you sure you want to quit?

You are carrying nothing.

Talking to yourself is a sign of madness!

You rub your hands up and down your clothes.

Damn, I'm looking good!

I'd just like to know if I can remove this horrible list. Can I?

I thought it was due to I was using the default template but now I'm using the empty template and I still get this list.

KILL JOSEDA
v0.9
A 2D shoot'em up game

This is a non-adventure game with a symilar "space invaders"'s playing mode. So it has no plot. At least by now.

There are three levels by now, the enemies don't attack at all, in later versions they will.

There is a "Two players mode". But it still needs to be improved.

Start screen

The first level

The second level

Here are the instructions:

Isidro:

+10 points

Homer:

+300 points

Joseda:

+30 points

Maese:

-10 points -4 life

Vicente:

-40 points

EDIT:You can
DOWNLOAD GAME HERE
(5.54mb)

You can even set a custom graphic to show it as one of your enemies.
Please if you find any bug or something symilar don't forget to notify me to fix it, thanks.

GAME PROGRESS

Scripting 95%
Graphics 80%
Music/Sound 90%

FIXED from v0.7 to v0.9
*The custom graphic didn't appear if you finished the game and then you began again
*When you created a player two his state didn't save
*Completely remade the 2 players mode
*Many errors with the custom graphic
*When you shot some characters they didn't die
*Minor inteface errors

ADDED from v0.7 to v0.9
*A new level
*An attaking module (that still needs work but is enough by now)

Joe.

EDIT: THE GAME IS COMPLETED NOW:

Hi again AGS users...
When I was trying to make my code more readable using #define an error came UP:

ERROR: Matar.asc(112): Error (line 112): Parse error: invalid use of operator '+'

Code: ags

#define PUNVIC -40
#define PUNPET 400
#define PUNISI  10
#define PUNJOS  30
#define PUNMAE -10

static function Enemigo::Comenzar(int boundX, int jos, int vic, int isi, int mae){

  int PunTot = PUNJOS*jos + PUNVIC*vic + PUNISI*isi + PUNMAE*mae;//THIS IS LINE 112
  //my code
  return PunTot;

}

EDIT: Ok sorry, I solved it, the negative definitions must be in brackets.

It would be really nice the possibility of setting a Z or Baseline property in overlays. So that you can show them behind characters or objects.
#26
Hi friends!!

Another trick, but this one has been invented by me.
So I'd really like some suggestions to improve it.
Thanks,

Hello again!

Iv'e got a simple question... well, not so simple...

Is there any way to use a DynamicSprite as an Overlay? so that I can move it in the screen.
Well there is another question: Is there any way to use a DrawingSurface as an Overlay?

Thanks!

EDIT: Ok for DynamicSprite I think I could do this:
Code: ags

DynamicSprite* sprite = DynamicSprite.CreateFromFile("laser.bmp");

Overlay *myol = Overlay.CreateGraphical(1, 1, sprite.Graphic, false);

But I haven't answered my oher question

I don't know if the topic subject is correctly expressed.

What I mean is that games I compile with ags are really big (like 30mb) and I see other games compiles with ags with the same image cuality or even better which are not big at all (5mb).

Do you know what I have to do?

This is the same as the Template posted here before but this is not a Template:
These are separated GUIs, I've made this so that you don't need to start a new game to use this.

<<<DOWNLOAD GUIs>>>(Requires AGS v2.72 or later)

You'll be able to save, restore and delete from the same GUI, but that's not all!
You'll even be able to overwrite a game!! ;D
