Try looking at http://www.gitorious.org/ags and follow progress there. Since AGS is open source now, some have gotten other platforms to work, such as PSP. So look there and see what progress the source code has had.

OK. I will give it a go. Thanks Kris.

That works too as long as I can continuously connect points by holding shift.

We have all been there, I suppose. We start a project, or have an idea and then we move on to something else. After years, you have a closet full of adventure games that have never come out of the wood-work. Lets face it, that was me as well.

I have worked over the years to create Two Simpsons games which have ever only made it to demo's. I have of course created a Simpsons Template for AGS 2.71 which I am proud of that can fully be used to make a game, if someone wanted to. I will upload that template at some point for you all again. That is my pride and joy for AGS. It contained about 9 characters, 40 rooms, tons of GUI's and such and much more. I think though, with lack of drawing talent and resources on the web for what I am looking for, that template has reached its limit of what it could be. And to be honest, over the years, my interest in the Simpsons games and project has diminished. Of course if someone would make a game using the template, I would certainly play it.

Lets not forget that there were other projects I never fully finished such as my very first project before I even knew of AGS, which was my Zak McKracken sequel with Maniac Mansion Crossovers. I had gained some popularity with that game on the web. I was considered at the time one of the main Zak 2 projects and actually had some rooms designed and was using Maker R2 to code it. But of course, for being a teenager, that was also an ambitious project and I was falling way behind the other projects out there. So I dropped it.

I had tinkered with the idea of creating a RON game, but that faded quickly. I even thought of creating a video game based on the tv show Psych. Unfortunately I dropped that as well.

My problems with all these games? Lack of graphics artist. I could not draw for the life of me. I couldn't even draw a simple four wall, baron room in sierra AGI style. I always had a difficult time even finding artists to help with my projects. Even when attempting to draw stick figures I would fail at that as well.

So, for the last few months, I have been trying a new approach to things. USING FREE CUSTOMIZABLE RESOURCES. The best way I found to do that, is to use 3D software. I seem to have better luck with that that with anything else. I have been practicing and though I am not a great 3D artist, or even a good one at that, I have been able to create some things that have impressed me. So I dropped all these other projects, or at the very least put them on hold until I finish my next project: Justice League: United. Its a game based on the heroes of the DC Comics brand.

Its ambitious, but I am letting go of my other projects for now to work on this. I am using DX Studio, Poser, Daz Studio 3D, Bryce, Blender and XWorld 3D to create my graphics. I have tinkered with a few scenes and I like how I have developed them. Keep in mind, these are not going to be mind blowing graphics, but they will atleast allow the game to be playable.

So, I ask for encouragement as I try this new phase of Adventure Game Development. Hopefully, some time in the near future, I would have completed my first full AGS game.

I know we have some talented people out there, so if this is possible, I know someone here will come up with the module solution for me.

I have been designing a 3D (to 2D converted of course for AGS) of DC Comics Justice League. And of course, one of the playable characters in the game will be Superman/Clark Kent. As we all know, Superman has many powers, among which one of them is X-Ray vision.

Basically I wanted a feature where in the room, there would be invisible images at certain coordinates. Then a small circle, similar to the one the flashlight circle uses, would come up and when it hovers over a certain area, parts of that image come up as if Superman is seeing through a wall or something. This would of course need to be extended to Characters and objects as well.

Perhaps there is a module out there already that does this or is atleast capable of it. Either way, I need help with this request. Thanks for looking.

I would like to request a type of point plotting in the room editor. I know I can draw free-hand or use lines. But point plotting takes away the stress of trying to connect the lines or by have to hold a steady line. Basically, you click on one area of the screen and then on another and a line is drawn from point a to b and you can keep connecting the dots until you press Escape or some other release key.

Ok, I know this is a bit of a cheap shot of a deal for what I am doing. But with a baby on the way, my wife and I needed some last minute cash for some things (Mainly some prescriptions and such), so we put some Microsoft products for sale on Ebay. If you know anyone who needs them, please direct them there:

Sorry again for the shameless posting. Thanks for looking and sorry that the product is microsucks and not something better. :P

I thought AGS 2.72 and up doesn't support anything less than XP. I could be wrong, but thats what I thought.

I feel your pain. My wife and I have been struggling for the last couple of years ourselves. Now we have a baby on the way, so things need to be tighter still. I think the best advice I can give you is this:

1) DON'T PANIC! Panicking is the worst thing anyone can do. If you are a swimmer, you know that to be true.

2) As Darth said, Prioritize. I am not sure where you live or what you do, but rent is the number one thing you need to pay. Do you really need a car where you are? If so, is there anyway you can lower the insurance by taking off certain coverage?

3) If you do own a car and you do absolutely need it, then do yourself a favor and try walking more. Yes, use the car when you do need it. But save on gas, take a stroll or ride a bike.

4) Open a second bank account. One is for fun spending and extra cash, the other is for bills. Make sure you put all you need into the bills account. Budget carefully here. Then, never touch that account unless its to pay bills. This assures you that you have what you need to go on living.

5) There is no shame in coupons or shopping at various stores to cut costs. The truth is, some stores are cheaper than others for some items and vice versa. Basically, shop around. You may need to buy some groceries at one store and others at another. Look in your local newspaper and see what coupons you can use to save on cash.

6) If you pay your own utilities, be sure that you do not use unnecessary heat, or that you leave things turned on longer than you need them, eg: lights, tv, computer, etc...

7) Cellphones. Can you get a cheaper plan with your provider? Perhaps fewer minutes? Or can you perhaps just go with a prepaid phone system? Have you tried metropcs or Sprint? Maybe the company you want may not be great and their phones may be crap, but atleast you wont pay as much monthly. Avoid buying a smartphone so you wont have to pay the monthly internet fee.

8) If you are paying for cable, it might be time to cancel it.

9) Which brings me to this point... If there is something you don't need, thats costing you money... Get rid of it completely.

10) If you are in need of some extra dough... Try the examiner. I think its examiner.com. They are looking for freelance writers. I heard they pay well and you get many perks.

Hope this stuff helps in someway.

Tabata, I need a walkthrough for this game. Do you have one?  :=
#476
Neat. I will have to try this out.

LOL. Thanks guys. You guys cracked me up. I think I might stick with Tzachs puzzle solving solution. :)

Thanks guys! Lol Ponch... I will give it serious thought.

Personally, I am hoping for a girl. As far as my wife goes... She just hopes that when she wakes up tomorrow, this was all a dream. LOL.
