Advanced Technical Forum / Re: AGS for 64-bit
Wed 28/12/2005 23:33:50
I think 32-bit is good enough. I dont think that just becouse the new OS is 64-bit that all applications run in it have to be 64-bit. I could be wrong, although that would be pretty dumn on MS's part.

General Discussion / Re: King Kong
Sat 17/12/2005 04:57:11
I really like it! I just came back from seeing it. In all honesty though, I dont remember much of the original one since I havent seen it in ages. I have to see it again to see which is better. But it looks like this one might be the better movie. Jack Black was awesome.

As far as the CGI... I expected a fake movie, which is what Kong is. So the CGI did not disappoint me. It was as real as CGI gets.

Indy Java maybe?

OK, well, my prequel to Springfield Woes is about almost done. You can expect that game to be done by the end of January. I have a complete Introduction scripted and ready. I have a good part of the game done as well. It will be a medium size game, but I want to make it more complete than that.

That game is going to be called "Where's Maggie?" It will be in the form of Maniac Mansion DOTT. You can control 3 characters. It currently has 27 rooms. So stay tuned for that.

All rooms in Springfield Woes and Where's Maggie as well as all characters, GUI's and other fun stuff, has been added to the Game Template as well.

Springfield Woes is my big project, so that wont be ready for about another year atleast. But, again, at the end of January, I will be releasing Wheres Maggie and an updated Template for all of you to use to make Simpsons Games/AGS shows.

You can still use the template now you know???....

I hope thats a good update for you Darth. I will be trying to add some images the the first post.

Hey lgm, I just added you. Check yourself out.

Man! My popularity moved into 6th! I had my 15 minutes...

EDIT: I have also just added Darth Mandarb. I am actually surprised noone has put him in yet either...
#850
If CJ says ok and/or I get a few other people wanting this, I will tracker it. Anyone interested in this?
#851
Maybe I will add you then  :P
#852
Actually Hadas, that was very informative. I see nothing wrong with your page.
#853
No lies there :)

Well, I wasnt talking about my page. I was talking about some other members who dont have a page yet. I think every member should be added along with their games, contributions and any general info about them as well as links to their homepages.. Basically complete details.

Any personal opinions or views can then be tackled on by someone else. For instance, after I write my page, then someone can add something like "Known for his massive lists of suggestions." Basically speak the truth about yourself and let others talk about WHO you are. What they know you for.

If you look at Edmundo's page, thats what I thought was the basic outline to follow. I still cant figure out why he had a vanity page on his though...
#854
I agree. There could be some immodesty. But if someone is modest? What would be wrong with that?
#855
I just hope many members are not forgotten if they dont write themselves in. I am gonna go  in the memberlist and look up everyone who is not on the wiki and ask them personal questions and write a wiki about them. Be the best way to get people on there.

I am fairly new to wiki's though... Why is it frowned upon if someone adds themself? I dont see how it would be {{Vanity Page}}. Many people write autobiographies. Again, keep in mind that I am fairly new to wiki's, when you answer this question. ;)
#856
I was afraid you would get a vanity page ;)
#857
Yeah, I could do that. But believe me. I visit this site everyday and have been doing so since 1997. I read as many posts as I can.

Just thought that since a Wiki is a history of AGS and everything that it did and who took part in it, I feel that more members should get a mention in there.

PS, I added SSH in there becouse he seems to be doing a lot of work with games and the wiki itself. It only seemed right for him to be in there.

What da??? I am?

Its becouse everyone hates me and wonders what crap is put in there about me :P

Sheesh, really though, I why is everyone reading my page? I mean Holly crap! I even beat Chris Jones! Thats just wrong.... He should be at the top of the page. I mean I read his page about 17 times. m0ds should even be ahead of me! He is more popular and interesting than I am, and everyone's favorite adventure game musical hero!

LOL

I would love to think that everyone has been reading my page becouse they all like me, but I have a feeling its more for curiosity to see "What this fool has in his page..."

------------------

Wanted to ask what everyone though if I would put the Simpsons Game Template on this category page: http://americangirlscouts.org/agswiki/index.php/Category:Design_resources
It would also be cool if more people would put some stuff about themselves in the AGS People page. I would like to get to know more about each member.

Oh, and why is Edmundo on a vanity page? I see nothing wrong with his page.

I tried Sludge. I just dont know why I cant get used to it. Even Wintermute. I couldn't get used to the interface or something.

The features both those engine have are nice, but I just never got a handle over them. AGS has always worked for me.

Alright... Next Project: Zak McKracken 2. Lets get e-mailing to Lucasarts! I have waited a long time for them to make an official sequel.

All kidding aside. Thats awesome news!
