I've been trying in vain to find a copy of this classic: https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=25920.0 It's called 2010: World of Chaos and I remember it being quite the experience. I've trawled through the giant torrent of AGS games but it appears no dice. Could anyone help a poor lad out?

CRIKEY!! It's a bloody AGS game!

I've just finished this corker of a game for the March 2014 MAGS contest. The theme was 'moustaches' (which hopefully will become clear once you've played it)

The Australian Outback can be a harsh and mysterious mistress. Bruce has just spent his day looking for a rock bigger than Uluru and it seems a pesky Wallaby just won't get out of his bloody way! Can Bruce, just an average Australian bloke make his way home? Or is he just one lousy dingo's foot away from destruction?  Find out this and more answers playing the new, the incredible: Bruce Quest: Wallaby On Walkabout.

I hope you all enjoy this fully voiced, comedy, all Australian, bonzer, crikey, fair dinkum, true blue, hard yakka adventure. I had a lot of fun making it!

Okay, this is some stuff for a potential game that perhaps I might be making. So anyway I drew these today:

Then of course I went about animating this crazy protagonist.

See my latest post for the newest version.

Your help is appreciated.

Hello people, I think you'd all be interested in seeing some of my comics here. So here's some wacky adventures of Blue Bird and his little Doggy Tom and his annoying uh French nephew guy Jamie.
You can point out the faults in this comic as much as you like, but you'll be typing a very long time... HA! I made a joke at my own expesne! HAR! So now you can't tell me off for doing bad things cause I can laugh at myself. Some of you might also remember my Christmas special with these characters: http://www.deviantart.com/view/26623416/

If you're saying "OH MY GOD I NEED MORE ALEX SCOBELL COMIC FIX" you can also check out my other comic projects such as Stacey: http://stacey.smackjeeves.com/ and Whatever Goes: http://whatevergoes.smackjeeves.com/ And there's probably some other comics crap at my deviant art http://kralex.deviantart.com/

I know after spending weeks, months or even years working on a game it's always good to get feedback. But I know most feedback you get from posting your game in the forum or on the AGS site is either "Cool game but such and such could be better." or asking for hints, and sure that's fine people don't tend to write particularly long comments about your game in a forum or comennt system.  But I also know that the mose satisfying feedback you can ever get on a game is a detailed review higlighting the good and bad points of your game, telling what you did right, what aspects were the best etc and an overall rating (sometimes sub ratings of all the different aspects of the game e.g graphics, story etc). But people just don't get that sort of feedback for their games, I think it would be great though if the AGS site had some sort of review feature which would encourage readers to write a substantial review on the game with pros and cons for the developers to see. As reviews usually only come from 3rd party sites which is still kind of rare and usually the developer will only get one review anyway. Sure not everyone would write lengthy reviews if a feature like this would be added, but I think that detailed reviews and comments on peoples games would really make all the hardwork even more worthwhile for AGS developers. I am aware there are some PDF based online things that do review AGS games, but I was thinking more along (multiple) reviews fro the general AGS game playing public but eh. Maybe I'm just rambling, but eh what do you think?

Beginners' Technical Questions / Room Lost
Sat 23/04/2005 02:38:09
Grrrrr. I was compiling my game when suddenly windows decides to crash again, so I reboot. Once I have I find that room1 is gone, it's just dissapeared. All I have is backups of the game data. Is there some way of recovering this or will I have to make this room again?

edit:
Er whoops, this probobly shouldn't be in the beginners forum but oh well no matter  :P

I was browing on my dads computer, somehow I ended up at this site in IE (usually use mozzila but it opened it in IE through MSN I think) and suddenly norton tells me there's a virus it can't remove IE crashes. I try opening IE again and it's on this weird page and I can't change it even by setting it to blank and every time I open it there's a new virus alert. What has happened? This is horrible now I'm getting virus alerts all the time and stuff. I've gotta tell my dad, but I'm afraid I'll get into shit even though I couldn't help this.  :'( I feel so bad right now, adaware and spywaressd are no help at all. Help! :'(

Advanced Technical Forum / Strange Warping Bug
Thu 27/01/2005 07:49:06
I'm not quite sure why this is occuring, but at random times in my game while the player is walking he will suddenly warp to another place on the screen. Has anyone ever encountered something like this and might know what's causing it?
#11
Is there anyway to make the player say a defualt line when I try to use an inventory item with an object/hotspot. E.g when I use say the flower with something that isn't right he'll say "That doens't need any decoration". Or would I have to program it in to say that when the player uses the flower with every other object except the right one  :-X

What the hell has just happened, I added a couple of buttons to a GUI then suddenly ags decided it didn't like this line function inventory7_a() { and refused to save until I removed it of course removing it causes further trouble, what have I done and why is it doing this?

It should do this:
  // script for inventory7: Look at inventory item
SetCharacterView(0,10);
AnimateCharacter(0,0,3,0);
while(character[0].animating) Wait(1);
function inventory7_a() {
but without that code it's useless, and removing that script completely then gives me a "Funtion Still Open" message what the hell is going on?

Gah, I tell the player to Walk over to an object, run dialouge then play a quick animation in that order but it keeps playing the animation then running the dialouge. What am I doing wrong  ???

I'm getting a very strange and fatal graphical glitch in my game. Occasionaly when I have an inventory item as a cursor and a character is moving it will do this: and then give me this message:
---------------------------
Illegal exception
---------------------------
An exception 0xC0000005 occured in ACWIN.EXE at EIP = 0x004C91D4 ; program pointer is +5, ACI version 2.61.747, gtags (1,0)

AGS cannot continue, this exception was fatal. Please note down the numbers above, remember what you were doing at the time and notify CJ on the Tech forum.

Most versions of Windows allow you to press Ctrl+C now to copy this entire message to the clipboard for easy reporting.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

This seems to only happen when a character is moving, so what's going on here?
