Why do all the characters have awkward white lines around them? Also don't make each line of dialouge an incomplete setance, that's just awkward and annoying. Each new line should have at least 1 or two complete sentances. You should post graphic stuff in the Critics lounge, rather than jokes, and get some tips on improvment.  ;)  Ohh yeah,  and the player is WAY too slow.

Don't worry, Krazy! I'm just using the MI2 Template's font until I can figure out or find any new/better font. It will be replaced.

You can use any windows font you like and just have AGS automaticly create an outline for it.

Haha, this game sounds great!

[ off topic ]Imagine Elton John stumbling upon this thread! :D [/off topic]
You don't have to imagine it, everyone knows he visits these forums regulary

Sounds like this game should end up as a decent enjoyable romp. Good luck with it! Though,  I'd recomend chosing a higher res font, the one you have now sort of kills the mood of the graphics  ;)

Or if you get really desperate, you can always just que the individual movie files up in Winamp or Movie Player  :P

HAHA so far all the entries are funny and great.

But it's it just me or people just love to connect the participation of these sports with miserable deaths? ;)

Well, in mine he was sorta happy before he died under the impression he had won, so not exactly miserable worthy  ;)

Oliver, that's just really cruel and uncalled for... I can't believe you're older than TheBrat499...

Jozef that sounds like an intresting idea, but that would mean a poll feature would need to be implemented into the AGS forum.

SSH makes sense, might work.

As for Kinoko I didn't mean people would need to be forced to review the games and not be allowed to make small comments they want. But more people who want to or may write in depth reviews of games could be given the chance to.

hehehe... Yeah, but I know that many of the BIG FISHES of AGS doubt before starting a high definition game. I myself wouldn't dare (well, I am horrible for finishing games, actually...  :P)

But... dunno, it was an advise to brat... just for taking it in consideration.

Eh, I'll be having a 640 480 game out soon, for me 640 480 is easier than limiting myself with a lower res cause it let's me draw more naturally and larger. Maybe it's just that I draw my graphics like I would a pen on paper, so it doesn't matter what size I make them. But anyway back on topic don't have his arms stick out either, let them rest at his side other wise it's just awkward looking.

It's huuuuuge. Have you considered making it smaller?

Not for a 640, 480 game  ;) Oh yeah and flash is good for animating and painting depending on what style you go for.

For the right pic you could probobly just give him the hat looking bassicly just like in the front  or back view and it would be ok. And peoples arms tend to go atleast down to their waist.

adventuredevelopers.com plans on having exactly what you want, when it can finally get around to it. Their review section will not give a review of how the game is, for people to read and decide if they want to play it, but it will be a type of weighted score card, depending on the level of development that went in to producting the game, and will give constructive criticism towards the developer(s).

Sounds cool  :)

Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but when I open a thread in the completed games forum, I expect to read criticism and comments on the game itself, not requests for help and hints.... After all thats why we have the hints and tips forum, right?

Yeah, it is kind of annoying to get a 4 page topic of hints, but that's the way it's always been  :P Only other option is make your game really REALLY easy.

Josef Purdes does a great job reviewing pretty much every AGS game that comes out on http://www.diygames.com/index.php?p=889&more=1

Wow, this guy is really making an effort! Such a nice site! Is he one of the forum regulars who goes under another name 'round here?

Dunno, but he did email about TImothy Lande once, that's how I found out about his nice little review of it too, he probobly atleast visists the forums.

As I said third party sites do review and stuff, but I was thinking more along the lines of the general public who post those thin little comments, it would be nice if they were encouraged to give much more feedback don't you think?

I know after spending weeks, months or even years working on a game it's always good to get feedback. But I know most feedback you get from posting your game in the forum or on the AGS site is either "Cool game but such and such could be better." or asking for hints, and sure that's fine people don't tend to write particularly long comments about your game in a forum or comennt system.  But I also know that the mose satisfying feedback you can ever get on a game is a detailed review higlighting the good and bad points of your game, telling what you did right, what aspects were the best etc and an overall rating (sometimes sub ratings of all the different aspects of the game e.g graphics, story etc). But people just don't get that sort of feedback for their games, I think it would be great though if the AGS site had some sort of review feature which would encourage readers to write a substantial review on the game with pros and cons for the developers to see. As reviews usually only come from 3rd party sites which is still kind of rare and usually the developer will only get one review anyway. Sure not everyone would write lengthy reviews if a feature like this would be added, but I think that detailed reviews and comments on peoples games would really make all the hardwork even more worthwhile for AGS developers. I am aware there are some PDF based online things that do review AGS games, but I was thinking more along (multiple) reviews fro the general AGS game playing public but eh. Maybe I'm just rambling, but eh what do you think?
