Ya know, I've noticed that in my seemingly endless library of AGS games on my computer, I tend to forget the one-cup wonders that drift in the archives.

Here's my little tribute to my favorite one cup games of all time!

Laundry Day-
By Carl Heyl (I think?) probably the greatest one-cup game I've ever played. It has puzzles (very difficult, but still somewhat logical) very good music, and a writing style that is clear and concise. It seems a lot of effort was put into it, and it has an odd charm about it that actually compels me to re-play it every now and again.

Murder In the Mansion-
Although the writing and puzzle (I think there's only one?) can make the player confused to no end, I somehow inexplicably like this one. The very casual conversations that go on while characters are surrounded by blood and gore as well as a plot that LITERALLY comes out of nowhere actually make for an entertaining little game.

1 Day a mosquito-
Need I say more? Very quick, yes, but enjoyable none the less.

(Shut up I know it's been done, revival time!)

What are your favorites? (If any.)

I've just finished your game, and I really enjoyed it, once I started to play I couldn't stop. Great work!!, congratulations!!  ;D

By the way, I loved the way the story was told

Your first post is about how you like my game? That's pretty awesome! :D

I'm really glad you liked it, this kind of things only motivates me even more while making the sequel.

Sometimes a visual helps.

I thought the pipe was 2m high? If this is accurate it completely throws off my calculations...

Author's Note: Not drawn to scale. In fact, 'drawn' in about 37 seconds.

Gun ammo....  YEAH, YOU WISH!

It's normal sea shells. Oysters to be specific.
Aw, well damnit. If I had mussel shells we'd be out in an instant :<

More riddle action!

Oldie but goodie:

A man is enjoying some food in a pub and after some time he goes up to the bartender and asks for a glass of water. The bartender immediately pulls out a shotgun from behind the bar and aims it right at the man's face! The man pauses for a moment, stunned, but then smiles and thanks the bartender. The bartender smiles as well and puts away the gun.

What the hell just happened?!

(Also I'm pretty sure someone made a game with a bunch of riddles...hm.  ;))

I'm sure there's a topic like this somewhere, but the search has brought up nothing so far.

Anyways, this is incredibly nerdy, but give this a shot sometime:
Act like you're in an adventure game!

-Pick up random objects in your house then narrate something about how you thought you might need it later.
-Start conversations with people, then abruptly stop, and try to start again from the beginning.
-Lock yourself out of the bathroom or something just to figure out a fun way to get it back open.

I'm sure you can come up with more...

Do you plan on making some sort of horror game with this? Looks like it would be REALLY fun in that kind of setting :D

I am adding links to the Xenogia Games website, and would love to help out the fellow developer.  If you have a website with a game that your currently developing (or developed) put your link here and I'll add it to my website :)

Good luck once again Domithan.. Enjoyed the first one  :)
Hopefully there will be me some more story/explanation in this...

Thanks :)
Also, indeed there will be more of a story element, as that was the primary complaint about the first.

The sequel to this: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=40441.0

After finishing his journal entry, things become strange for James once more...

Although he has always had nightmares while he was sick, things have taken a mighty turn for the worse as now his dreams and perception of reality begin to blend.

James must find out just what is going on before he goes insane.
This time, the threats don't stay within the boundaries of his dreams.

James, all grown up (it happened so fast! :_ D ) in his new room.

The dark snack-room in an office building.

A flash of lightning.

Coming when it does! :D

I've heard in Ben Jordan 8 that your love from Smailholm comes back from the dead as a killer zombie.. hehe

Well she does, and Ben falls in love with her all over again and vows to do anything for her, which is why he did what he did.

You have to use the rubber gloves in the cupboard and burn them later when you get the chance, that's what the gasoline is for.  ;)

Because why the hell not. :D

Not being much of an artist myself, no, nothing else really sticks out. I like it. :D

HOWEVER!

Don't stop checking the thread because I said it was neat, or anything like that. (Not saying you would, of course.) I'm hardly the forum's resident art expert.
