Basicly, it will have lots of bad puns followed by rimshots. Sexual inuendos, toilet humor, satire, and all that other goofy bs that I find funny.

Sounds awesome.

It was a fun little read. I think I enjoyed the interview the most. Perhaps you could do the whole thing with Pmdee; reviewing the games together and such. A bit of editing would be needed but it could work. Also, might as well keep it weekly. We'd get to read it more often and it would probably work out to be the same as if you did it monthly.

Yeah I can see how his comments could have come out of anger rather than any necessarily inherent racism. It's still really horrible though. And a lot of those comments by users on YouTube clearly are racist.

Holy christ. That's quite terrible, regardless of his former career. What's possibly worse is all the people on YouTube trying to rationalise and defend what he said.

Kicking me in the dustbins would certainly put me out for a few.

I'd guess his game ends on a cliffhanger (I've not played it).
#47
Worked for me, both ways.

Sorry, I had done a search. Guess I searched for the wrong thing. But anyway, thanks very much, that works brilliantly.

I currently have a jumping animation that plays when the up key is pressed, but I am unsure how I could make the direction of the jump animation corelate to the direction the character was already standing in. I'm thinking I would need to get the current loop number? I looked at "Loop property" in the manual which seemed to be what I wanted ("Gets/sets the character's current loop number) but there wasn't much information on how I would actually use that in this circumstance. Am I going the complete wrong way? Is there a much simpler way to do this?

I don't know about the actual demo but this page has sound clips from it down the bottom.

I liked the demo voice better as well. Reminds me of Wilford Brimley.

I've got it! Give him a monobrow.

EDIT:

Hehe, fair enough. This is sounding more and more like my kind of game.
#54
Certainly looks very intriguing. Wonder if I could hear more about the "unique interface"?
#55
Oh, hehe. Sorry about that.

That original Noah Falstein version sounded muchly interesting... It's a bit of a shame they never completed it.

I think there's more to writing a game than just the dialogue, so perhaps it should be Best Writing or Story or something like that instead.

I think when you type in www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb it still takes you to the americangirlscouts.org/bbc.com/yabb hosted forums thingy. But when you click on the different boards and topics and things it's all on the www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb, hence having to login again.

Perhaps you could wait till the whole game is finished and then start releasing each part weekly or however frequently (perhaps fortnightly or monthly might be better for a game?). That way people could either go along with the experience and enjoy the cliffhangers or just wait till they've all been released and play them in one chunk.
