Very nice, this is getting better and better. As pointed out above there's still a problem with the bridge though. It looks disconnected to the rest of the BG, like it's floating above the ground. The perspective is off too. If I find the time I'll post a paintover later on.

And another thing is that the rocks look very blurry in contrast to the grass & path, maybe you could sharpen them up a bit.

Just put

Code: ags

function repeatedly_execute_always() {
}

anywhere in the room script. The function doesn't have to be linked from somewhere else.

Nice. I started a small game two days ago und just realized that it would fit this MAGS' topic. So in case I get it to work properly until the deadline I'll participate this time.

well i just saw other people put *FIXED* in the title so i thought it was what you were probably supposed to do

That's exactly what you're supposed  to do.  ;)

also on my other two forums people will usually quote entirely what the other person said so sorry about that

Quoting a whole post, especially one that is right above your post, doesn't make any sense and makes the thread unnecessarily long and hard to read. So we're not too happy with people doing that.

cCharacter1.FollowCharacter(cCharacter2.x, cCharacter2.y, eNoBlock);  ???

That didn't give any error message? Isn't it supposed to be

Character.FollowCharacter(Character* chartofollow, optional int dist, optional int eagerness) ?

If you set dist to 0 then the character shouldn't stop until he reaches the other one.

Then change its name..

However this means I would have to open a new tab or window to see AGS.

Yeah, nobody could possibly expect you to do that..

I don't know if it's possible to rearrange the order, but why does it matter? You can start the game in whatever room you like and change the room to whatever room you like..

I agree though that some more room-related features (like having folders) would be nice.
#832
Yeah it's a bit annoying that you have to open the room to have the objects appear in the list.
#833
Wow!

Truly teh most awsmoe game I never was looking forward to.
#834
Then just modify your first post by putting a (SOLVED) in the title and you're done  :)

Nice! I'd love to see all those expressions in game. Looking forward to this one.
#837
What didn't work? What's the error you get?
#838
I don't get the problem. Why don't you use a timer?
#839
Oh just do it already  ;)

Sorry, I thought I'd better check one of your games out without being put off by the randomly ripped sprites and BGs you use, but I was still very disappointed. I only played for a few minutes but I encountered enough annoying issues to quit the game.

- You didn't use the SayBackground command and the result was that all GUIs were greyed out every few seconds and you had to click to make the market people shut up. That was unbearable.

- You made a thread about this issue in the beginner's tech but still didn't manage to set the walkeable area or the baseline correct, thus the well was drawn on top of the player while he was actually standing in front of it.

- There were around five different characters but no dialog options at all. Every dialog was done automatically, even when buying some stuff. That's definitely NOT what adventures are about.

- The player doesn't know where the room's exits are. Both the left and the right side of the room were open (and even looked the same), but I could only leave to the right. That was illogical and annoying.

- There was no indication about where the hotspots are, no label, no changing cursor. While this isn't a problem for everybody and might be personal preference, in your case it was especially annoying as the totally differently styled sprites weren't the only hotspots, but parts of the sometimes consistently drawn BGs too.

Well, I don't want to say too much about the graphics, except maybe that you could at least make the different cursors and inventory items somehow consistent and equally sized. But you should really put more effort in your games and polish them instead of releasing a dozen half-baked games within a few months. It doesn't seem like this game has been tested at all.

Sorry if I sound harsh but I really mean it. Better do a few solid games than a throng of crappy games.
