I actually like the sound of ALL of them, totally honestly, but for the majority when i download them it's fine, but when i try and open them i get a message displayed saying "Windows cannot find the program to open this file, then offers me the chance to choose one from a list or go online to get windows to search for the program" etc. Does anyone know where i'm going wrong? Do i need a special program to play them?

Thanks guys, you're all so helpful! The problem is these ALL sound cool, but most of them wont run for some reason or another, one of them is too big and another one has graphics that my graphics cant handle, which really drives me up the wall. Cant wait to get a new computer. I'll look into "Infection" when the bugs get sorted though, and i hope it works. Thanks again for the effort guys, much appreciated.

So far i have played only the Chzo Mythos series by Yahtzee and i'm looking for something like that, but it can't have a large memory space as my comuter runs slowly. Also i only want downloadable games that are free, i know i sound like a scrooge but i'm really not looking to splash out on any right now.

Oh, and i'll playtest any games that are in development that fit into those categories^ too, if you want.

I'm not too sure, i dont think i know of any other engines, unless a friend sent it to me, to be honest i cant really remember where it came from... maybe i dreamed it? 

Someone should SO make a Spider-Man point and click adventure game on here though, that would be cool, if the puzzles were good and they stuck some decent villains in there that you have to thwart with your superhuman sense of randomly rubbing objects from your inventory onto everything else in the vicinity in the hope of making something happen.

It was a Spider-Man game created with AGS which i downloaded, but i never got round to opening it before i lost the file, can anyone help me find any games matching that description? Thanks very much, and again I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this type of question.

To be honest (now i'm going to really embarrass myself here) i created a room that a character could walk about in, something to look at and that was really about it before i got stumped and gave up on it, i was beginning to move backwards and make things worse. I think first of all i'm going to write my idea down to preserve it before coming back to look for someone willing to help me create it.

I have little more than an idea for a game, and i'm not looking to be too ambitious with it, so anyone who's moderate to good at using AGS will be able to create it i'm sure. I hope i don't come across as lazy, but i've tried creating it myself and didn't get very far at all. If anyone is good at designing but has difficulty writing or coming up with good ideas, let me know by PM if you are interested. I will let you take most of the credit, but i'd like to have a lot of input into the story and a mention in the credits for written by...

I was just wondering if someone could help me out, i'm new to the boards and i've read a lot of the FAQ's but i'm still a little unsure. Where do i post if i want to enlist the help of someone to create a game that i've written/designed? I have an idea for a good one in my head but i tried making it myself...didn't get much further than my first room. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to create my first game, but i have reached a point where i am supposed to input a picture to use as a background for my first room(i'm following the tutorial). I drew a background out using Microsoft Paint or whatever and i tried to upload it but the height/width etc are apparantly far too big. It says that the resolution i have chosen is too small to support that big a picture, but i dont know how to change the picture size. Can anyone help?
