Congrats Miez! Great game!  ;D

My only critisism is the slightly wonky character art for Indy (because his legs are too far apart from the back, and some of the shading is off) and the slightly rough character movement of Indy and Shelly right at the end of the intro.

That said, the game made me chuckle.  :=

Oh, I completely agree. That Indy sprite is the "old" sprite for FoY (we have a much prettier one now - but getting it into this game was just too much work ;) ) and if I could be bothered to put more time in this I would definitely animate the "let's climb into this thing" moment instead of just cutting from A to B.
But my focus is on FoY now, as "Spheres" is just a little joke game ;D

His hat seems a little too far to the right but other then that it's fantastic.

Yep, I was about to say the same, but for the rest: awesome job!

Ok, fiddled around with it a little and removed 1 bug (the use can of herring with particle accelerator "use can of herring with exit in the Himavat room" bug). Also fixed another potential problem (note to self: do not make functions with names that are the same as predefined AGS constants. "unhandled_event()" is a BAD name for a function!).

If you want this fixed version, just reload the game from the BarnettCollege home page.

And thanks for all the positive feedback people! ;D I'm glad you're enjoying this little experiment, have a great year!

While you're at it, found another strange thing (or two)...

Spoiler

- USE the doorways or looking at them result in strange texts (like Why would I do that or I'm not going to try that...) but you'll use them anyway.
- The Carvings hotspot at Himavat isn't always visible. I haven't been able to figure out when it becomes available but most of the time it's not. Not that it's relevant for the game but still...

Hmm yes - that first one I can fix
The second one is intentional ...  ;)

Nice one!

Found a bug though .. (sorry...) (or is it an easer egg?  ;D)

When at Himavat, use the can on the exit for a very special effect...

Whoo! no, that's a bug allright.  :-[ We'll have that fixed asap.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Spheres

Nazis! Floozies! And loads of spheres in this super short let's-get-into-the-mood-for-the-season game.
My first AGS coding project, but I had loads of help from the rest of the FoY team (music and SFX by m0ds, coding help and bugsquashing by DKH, animation by Nacho and Big Brother).

Anyway, download it from BarnettCollege.com and have a bit of fun.

Ok. Actually just one nazi. And one floozy (but don't call her that to her face).

Harrison Ford as played by Indiana Jones.

Wait ... what? :)

Good work Kaioshin, I'm curious about the endproduct!

Interesting - I'd certainly attend.

Ugh, Broken Sword for GBA. It's so full of bugs they could have filled a National Geographic documentary with it...

Stay tuned for our MYTHBUSTERS marathon after we've officially replaced "Discovery" with "MYTHBUSTERS".

And that's a BAD thing? ;D

Do I make up with my Dad before he dies, or is this completely pointless given that he's a serious sociopath? I haven't seen him in four years and all I have heard about him is from my brother (who sees him occasionally)... apparently my dad was obsessional over his hatred for me because I once threatened to call the police if he continued to abuse anyone in my family. But maybe dying will make him open his eyes up, or perhaps he will feel something for the people he will lose when he dies? Although I have mostly overwhelmingly bad memories of my dad, there were of course the good times too... though that is not unusual for a sociopath. Is there a point in trying to "reconcile" with him, or will it just be a completely pointless exercise that will give him an inflated sense of self-worth and smugness before he passes away? Might he feel something?

What do you think? Discuss :)

I think you should try to make up - or at least reach out. He sounds like a pretty horrible man and you're most likely not going to accomplish anything. But what if he dies and you didn't try? you might regret not having taken a chance. But if you decide to reach out, do it for yourself, not for him.
My two cents...

[edit] ehm - basically what Prog said some posts before... ;)

Nice, are you going to interview some ags'ers next?  :)

Petri Purho & Alec Holowka & Jonathan Blow > The vast majority of AGSers ;D

So I doubt it...

Awesome! I'll take point! ;D

LOL that man in the shop (beginning of the video) reminded me of Married with children's Al Bundy ;D

Oh and WHOOO for the inclusion of Jane Jensen.

Critics' Lounge / Re: Pixel Background Attempt

Good looking background - nice subdued colours. :) One thing that bothers me a little is that the rightmost building (the one with the "surgery" banner) is incredibly small. It has the floor space you'd normally find in an elevator. I'd suggest widening it either to the right or making it deeper...

And one thing to make the ground look more like a road is to add some of those painted lines (you know: curb delineation, pedestrian crossing, lane indicators) or by adding something like a sewer lid.

Why not simply use Flash?
