Hey There! I just released our epic adventure game, with strong narrative, made with Unity. I made this together with 2 buddies from school, for a project.
We were featured on national television, but just never released the game, so here it is!

Ripple

Ripple is a firstperson adventure game with strong narrative. You are in the role of an artist, who makes paintings. As most artists, he lives a somewhat lonely life, dealing with depression, addictions, and low self-esteem.

The game starts in your home, where you can interact and look at your surroundings, by gaining more information about who you are, and what you deal with. The goal is to change the mindset of the artist.

Upon leaving your room, you are not yet ready to face the real world, and you dwell down in a pseudo-reality, somewhere in your mind.

The game is played by an Xbox-Controller.
Left thumbstick: Move
Right Thumbstick: Look Around
X: Examine
A: Interact
B: Cancel
Right Trigger: Run
Left/Right Shoulder: Previous/Next item

In the very end you can start the story by pressing ALT+F4

Hey There!

My name is Peter Olthof, a.k.a. Peer, and I used to be an active part of these boards, i dunno how many years ago... time flies by!
Well I'm nowadays student Game Development, and I'm working with eyetracking device, to make games for physically and mentally challenged people, children, elderly, and whatnot...
I know, it's not a traditional point&click adventure...but hey, it has a story!

Blind love is about a mole, who is in love with a female mole. But to get to her, you need to guide him with your eyes.
The game is full of atmosphere, great sound, and different challenges for your eyes. The game takes about 5-10 minutes to play.
You can use your eyetracking device, or choose to use your mouse, if you don't have an eyetracker.

It was initially targeted for elderly, but children, or anyone who loves to play games, will cherish this gem in their hearts, I'm sure of it!

General Discussion / PeerPlay - Deciball
Tue 27/05/2014 22:06:20
Hey everyone!

Been awhile since I've posted here, but I'm extremely busy with my study in Game Design/Development & setting up my business PeerPlay.
I felt like it was time to let you guys have a look at what I'm developing at the moment.

Deciball is an  audio 3D sidescroller platform explorer game set in a gameworld that reacts to music frequencies, and you bounce/roll with an electric ball through the world, collecting music notes & having fun.
It is being developed for mobile phone (android) & going to be released through Greenlight, hopefully to be on Steam.

If you like to follow, you could check my development log at peerplay.nl or check twitter/peerplay

I know it's not a real point & click adventure game, and I'm so sorry for that! :P
From tomorrow on I will team up with a game music composer, who will write music for the game :)

Great! Played last night the game, and said at one point: SCREW YOU DRIVER!! Cause that's where I'm stuck :P No available alcohol anywhere... but i will read through the walkthrough.

I like the game alot. It's the first game I chose to play after my long absence from here. Where can I find the previous game btw?

So cool!
If it's not a secret, what engine do you use?

It's not a secret!
I'm using Unity3D ;)

Wt the moment busy with lots of concept art & sketches, and just started modelling the main-character. Gonna be alot of work for doing everything myself. I will probably end up making a working demo, and then start looking for a team. ;)

I got stuck at the first room. I tried to pixelhunt every pixel in the game, but no help! Please help me out!
For as far as I got 10/10!

If you are just about modelling, then I've been advicing for many years now to use Wings3D to start out with! It's like the easiest modeller, though it's just plain box modelling, but i've been making great models with it, and sold many of them online. But for more questions on 3D modelling I advice you to go to www.renderosity.com, it has a great community. And on the chat there, are always some friendly modellers who will help you out. :)

I personally hate blender, I could never get myself around that application, but I know alot who love it. I ended up paying over $2000 on software. lol.

I'm not really into Blender or TrueSpace, as I am an SoftImage XSI user, but what I do in character creation, is first drawing on paper, the front and sideview. Making sure that the proportions are exactly as I want. Then you import the front and side view pictures into your modeller, as a rotoscope guide, and model on top of those.
Afterwards, create a bonestructure/rigging. And start animating within your modeller.

It all sounds more easy than it really is, lol! Just keep looking out for tutorials. If you look for great tutorials, try Digital Tutors.com. Itll cost you about $40 a month, but you'll have access to great video tutorials. I improved heavily through DigitalTutors over the last year.
Check out some sample video's out there, if you're interested :)

Thanks, everyone! I saw a PM of you, Chicky, from a few months ago, lol! :)

BTW, I'm working at the moment on a game-project, which is gonna be somewhat of a 3D action/adventure game. So I might post soon some work in progress on it, though it's not really an AGS project. ;)
I can give a hint so far, that it's gonna be setting in a balloon world, with balloon characters :P Abit like Little Big Adventure.

Dear AGS Community!

It's been, I don't know how long, since I've been posting, or browsing these boards, but I guess some people from years back will still recognize me, so I'd like to give a tiny update on how things have been.
You might know my from games like Puddy Penguin, or Ralph The Raven.... those games are still floating around somewhere on the net. ;)

The reason I came looking here, was because I just found out about the Dreamfall Chapters being in production, a sequel to my favorite adventure game. :)

Well then, I'm doing great. I've been studying to become a primary school teacher, but eventually gave up on that, and decided to focus on games after all! In September I will start at studying Game Development, and I'm working at the moment at some projects of 3D Games, within Unity. I became somewhat better at 3D modelling, and scripting in C# & Javascript, which I'm using within Unity3D Engine. My goal is to produce Educational Games/Applications for Schools, Businesess & love to create a great Adventure Game still.

Furthermore, I've got a great job in sales, in which I'm doing great, and live in Hilversum, where I enjoy life to the fullest. I've had my ups and downs, girlfriends here and there, and my own little adventures in life, and at the moment, happy single, but still married with my PC ;)
Next to that, I started working out at the gym 3x a week, taking care of my muscles. Giving guitar lessons, and fooling around with music. I do alot more, but let's keep it with this for now ;)

Hope to have a warm welcome back, and gonna now select one of the released AGS games to play. :)
Big hugs, Minimi

At the moment I'm alittle low on money, but if things go well in the coming month, i might pledge $250, i would love to have a character based on me in the game! :D
Otherwise I'll pledge $35.

Gl on the game!

I am considering to purchasing this game, though the posts about BUGS are putting me in doubt.

Are the bugs only in the demo, or also in the commercial game? And if so, will you fix this any time soon? and re-release a version without bugs available to previous buyers?

OK, I'm going to try to make a game this month! You might say, Minimi? Yes I'm actually going to make something again with AGS ;)

so I'm going to base my game on The Bible, well atleast a chapter out of it. Hopefully I'll have it done in time, as I have to find out again how AGS worked, lol :P

Hi everyone,

I joined this great community already almost 5 years ago, and I haven't been around here for a while again, so I thought to share a little about my life at the moment and some issues to maybe discuss.

Firstly I live again with my parents, after 3 years of living with some friends on my own. The thing is, I haven't done everything right with paperworks and spending, and due to that, I had to humble myself to come home. Also I haven't got a clue what study I want to attain, and due to my financial situation, I'm now working my ass off to get out of depts, before starting school again.

At the moment I'm learning to spend money well, and be responsible in life, globally. But the thing is, I keep wandering around in life about what I want to do. I've done some webdesigning/gamedesigning, I like to play guitar, sing, work with children, work with people, be on my own, psychology, art, and so much more. Due to all these things, I just can't make up my mind. I've done alot of studies and jobs, but always for a short while, because of the big chaos in my head.

On the other hand, I've made some precious friends the last couple of years, wich are real friends for a lifetime, so that's the positive side! :)

What I'd like to ask you all, is weither you ever been in a financial dept situation, and how you handled it, and if you ever have doubts about finding the right study and future plans. I'm now almost 22 years old, and it feels like a pressure on me to really start studying right now!
