Yes! It's always fun to search for something so nonsense...and click links and find stuff out

there are several ways to get them..

1. when your playing the game, press printscreen button on your keyboard to make a screenshot, and in a paint program like mspaint, press ctrl+v to paste it. then you made yourself easily a background
If your character was over a part, move the character and make another screenshot, and add the missing part to the part you already had! piece a cake...
2. search the web google.com, altavista, yahoo
3. learn to draw them yourself!

I go for the first one, just because i dont like textures so much... I also think that you took abit too radical way of dayofthetentacle!! You can reduce the angles of the objects abit, and still have that same style.

Hi there! I'm joining the MAGS this month, with Puddy Penguin! The rules of this month is to create a game with a classic mythical beast outside of its "natural" habitat.

Puddy Penguin is a penguin, that lives in Antartica. Puddy lives there together with his whole family, and they are happy. But one day the Yeti appears on the scene, and he's not feeling very confortable, so he starts breaking ice. Puddy must stop the Yeti before the yeti ruins their whole penguintown!

I finished the main character. Tell me what you think of the character and the plot!? I hope to see lots of others join the MAGS this month! This is bytheway, my first time I'm joining the MAGS!

Well, as you can see, I have added the competition, and thank you captain mostly... I used that name!

I am definatley going to join the MAGS now, (for the first time).
I think it's high time for me, to show some of my potential. I am almost done with Sam&Moos, what I'm actually shouting for months now... but anyway... Í have this great (i hope) idea, and I'm going to make it in flash i guess... no I'm sure... but that just rhymed at flash... so... anyway... I'll post soon some screenie of it

I have Trust Wacom tablet 200, and it's pretty nice, though if you need it, and i guess you do, I recommend you the 400, because it's way bigger tablet! But this one is working fine for me! I'm btw using Corel Painter, as the drawing program. It's specialized at the tablets, so that program really rocks, if you want the ultimate result out of your tablet!

Well, I have some concept art on paper, but I haven't got a scanner. So I tried to draw over the lines with my tablet, but the result is not that good as the original on paper is! I did this, with using Flash, and the smooth style drawing. This is the look of the main-character of the game. I hope you'll like it. He should have an end 50's look. He didn't fit fully at the page, so I only drawed his upperbody.

Tell me what you think of him. Just remember that some lines in this picture are not excactly as they should be I quickly coloured it, without any shading, but it's just to give you an idea of the style

C&C PLZ!

This is really weird, cause I'm just maybee a few hours away of releasing the demo of my first game, but suddenly I can't get it fixed that a certain object appears when I open a wardrobe. I want to have that when I use the wardrobe that then somewhere over the wardrobe a object appears, that wasn't visible before, so it looks like its in the wardrobe. How do I make this? I tried checking for the object INVISBLE, but with what code do I make the object reappear?

Yeah, actually I'd love to too... but I have everything untill now handdrawn, and I need to buy a scanner first. The bummer thing is, that I'm broke at the moment, so I need to wait for my workingloan. Or maybee I scan at someone elses scanner, so I'll just continue with drawing, and when I have it scanned, I'll colour it, and make animations, and all these things.

I love to write plots, books, stories whatever, but I'm sorry, I really can't write anything about hell. I'm not the kinda person that loves horror and evil. I do love some blood here and there, but then more in the matter of murder, victim, case for investigation... you know

Born In 1931, and at the present 72 years old. It all started in 1958...

My name is Jack Boots, 27 years old. I am detective in Frostville.
I was still pretty new to the underworld of crime,for I graduated in 1956.
I was assigned to this case, where the owner of the famous theatre industry named
"Moonlight", found dead at the golfyard, of the golfclub "The Swinger".
It was publically known that this man "Kurt Fernando", was addicted to drugs.
He was found with an overdosis of pills in his body, so everything pointed to suicide.
I went talking to Kurt's lover Emma, who told me that Kurt said the day before his death,
he needed to go away for a few days, for business matters. This was very rare, because
Kurt hated travelling, so he always got visited. Another thing that strucked my mind,
was that Kurt was found at the golfyard. Why there?? So I as the detective,
started a investigation, to find out, what actually happened.
And that is where the trouble began...

2003 - AAAAH! Oh my! Another nightmare! I'm 72 years, and I have alot of times nightmares,
and bad sleeping. It's hard for a old crook like me, to keep it up with the world.
Everytime I get to bed, and everytime I wake up, the memories are flying by,
of that old time, wich costed me everything. I must remember myself to not think about that
all the time, but to live my life on, well at least what it's still worth.
I'm a retired detective, and I'm now doing some job for free at the shoeshop,
across the street. I'm shining shoes in the midst of this world, that is in a big damn hurry!
I feet my bird named "Joe"and close the door behind me, and lock the door.
While I'm walking outside, a lady, that is in a hurry, try's to cross the busy street.
A taxi that didn't saw her that quick must brake very hard. The whoman jumps away,
and her bag with lipstift, cream, and all sorts of makeup, are rolling over the ground.
That reminds me of that time I got to the theatre back then.....

This plot gives a little idea of where the game will be about. There hasn't yet been done
any art or scripting or whatsoever, only some art with pencil and paper, and the plot,
and storyline. I'm almost finished with my first game, and my goal is to make this a full
length game, with way better graphics.If anyone of you is interested in seriously helping me with the art, scenes and characters,
so we can make up a team, I would love to hear it. Also tell me what you think of the plot!

As an addition to it all, to clarify the style of the game. It will be like 2 different times. One moment you are playing with the young Jack in end of the 50's, with all the typical things of that time, and the other moment you are flashing forward, to the present where your playing the old Jack, in the present world with all it's techniques, and electronic signs and cars. So you'll be thrown forwards and backwards in time, to make a complicated story, with also lots of different puzzles. Well that's about all I can tell you right now about the game!

PS: So sorry, I don't have YET any screenshots, but this project is definatley going on, and soon there will be some first screenies of characters and maybee backgrounds, though I'm still experimenting about different styles of drawing.
