Sorry, but your just repeating the help. Does this mean I have to use in every single conversation and every single thing I'm looking at, to add a script? Could you give me an example of making in the global script that whenever I'm in a dialog or whenever I'm in talking mode, that it's at loop8 ??

then let me remind you this... every casualty, no matter civilian or soldier... is 1 too much. I'm all against war, and fights (also in the small) so im trying to not fight about things but live in peace in my own place. If you want to do something about it, start with yourself in your own place, and know what you want. Then when you are really going for your goal, people start following you, and you'll beginning with making a better world...

No sorry, there is no oneminute-cure. People seem to always want to have a cure RIGHT NOW for a diffuculty/problem ... but sometimes you must look further than the length of your nose ;)

I can't really get more wise out of the helpfile. Could you give me an example on where I should set what code to let run a certain loop animation during dialogs and during saying anything?!

Do I have to make a new view for each character's talking animation? At the characters tab you can choose the talking view, but not the loop number. It's getting pretty messy for making a new view for each animation. I need to show up view3, loop 8 for my character while talking.

ravenfusion means that the elbows do not bow in the animation. But I probably can't do any better, so really nice job!

Well... to also reply to the thread I started... I like Dos also alot... but i dont know appledos... When I started out with the PC, I had this cute Norton Commander (you know the blue screen) ... and I played all kinda games like arcade volleyball, princeofpersia, and commanderkeen4 A year later, I also bought fate of atlantis, that indiana jones game... awww... the old times! No internet... no viruses... no shit... only the real deal 256color!! ;) Only floppys and a game larger than 2mb was very big game! Ohw how I loved Fifa96... though that was a little time later ;) "Keep is cool!".. you know thats the only computergame I ever played against my dad! ;)

I disagree with you, and I'm sure CJ is also. Not on the fact that it would be nice to make a cd with all kinda ags-games on it, but on the fact that CJ doesn't do it apparently for the cash. I'm sure that when CJ would make a topic that he need $400 to pay his bills, that he could easily recieve it from all our gifts! ;)

Wow lots of reply's... Ok first of all, I didn't ment to say that a game can't be original with humans, but it was just to make my point, that there are in fact alot of adventure games with humans. And maybee for your personal idea is there nothing wrong with that, but I can understand, that some people like some stories, that you never expected. So to make a good example, The Uncertainty Machine, has it's own world like the "off-limits", wich takes you into another way of thinking.

About the key and the lock, maybee cliché was the wrong term, but I'm not biologically english speaking, so I might say some things and mean something else, and yes, I must admit that in my first game, you also need a key :P ... though it's also just an example that you can also maybee come up with another idea, though the same result, like the lockpicker in Pleurghburg : Dark Ages...

There are some people that say, that they don't want to share their original plot, but maybee the title "MOST" is wrong, because I think that I wouldn't either share it, but make the game. But if you brainstorm you could probably come up with a plot and whole game, without making it, and still is original enough to let others (maybee a team) make it.

I will consider posting the competition into the forum, though I don't want to create yet another messy thing, that never get's somewhere. I'm thinking about creating the thread in Competitions, and besides that, I'm updating the upcoming site, with all posted plots and the author of it. There will be a voting system where all people that have joined the competition, can vote for a plot, except their own, and then the one with the most votes, wins. And there will be set up a team, or maybee valunteers, to make the game. If you are thinking about joining then you must know that its not about making a joke game that is 2 rooms or somthing, but a full game, or medium length game.

Well... that's about it for now, I'm going to work further to finish my first game, and when it's finished I'm starting the competition. Any additions or comments to what I just wrote are welcome ;D

PS: If you know a good title for the competition, it's also welcome!

Well, you might think, this  is yet another idea to add to the forum competion, but far from that.

My point is, that there are created lots of games with the plots like "evil this, evil that" i call it. And Hero needs to escape... there is really nothing wrong with that but it becomes a big cliché in the adventure world.

I was thinking about making (with some other guys that valunteer) and when I finish my sam&moos game in a few weeks, a website where people can send a very original plot idea, with storyline. Then the great ideas will be posted on the site, and the idea is, that these plots will be worked out, to make some original games. When time passes by, the list might become pretty big, and can be used as a database of original games.

Let me ask you this! Why is the player almost always human or alien... with legs? Why not make a game with furniture or electronics as player, and also make some original inventory!

A while ago there was a thread about never used inventory items in adventuregames. This thread could be helpfull to make a nice very original game.

Just tell me what you think of it, and maybee we can discuss this thing, that games are indeed a big cliché and that they need a fresh breath.

PS: I hate the big cliché of "something is locked, so I need a key", or something is too high, I need a stick to pull it of. Maybee you can come up with a more complex way to solve puzzles, to make some more variety in the games.

Argh... the humanity *say it with feeling* ... Why do I have so much ideas, and so less time, or better said.... Why does it take longer to make a game, than to imagine one?? :s

McDonalds? How will a refrigerator ever survive of that junkfood?? I was thinking about a SUPER SUPER SUPERLARGE SUPERMARKET :P.... and then maybee that there is a time limit for the game, and every time you play it, the refrigerator need 3 random items... and you have to search for them as quick as possible...

Or, I could make a big storyline, where you must talk to all sorts of guys.. like someone at the grocery, and other guys that have something you can put in the refrigerator, and then you must trade all sorts of things on and on... untill you find the ultimate cure for your refrigerator, to make him undependent of his freakin powertale, and he will get, after you found this "SECRET" stuff... become ultimate cool, and all female refrigerators will love him, and he makes lots of refrigeratorbabies... and he writes history, and its all a happy ending!!!

For my first game Sam&Moos ... I'm making that in a bookcase with lots of books, you can click on each seperated book, and watch the title. But could you people help me on some titles of books. It's a game about 2 alien children in the house of their grandpa. So maybee you guys can come up with some funny titles!

really?? Cool! It was just something I basically fantasized when I was making the post. Well, if I'm thinking about it... it could be pretty funny, if you work it well out! ;)

For almost a year ago I worked with this, and also made some own objects in blueprint for the sims... but in my opinion, are the characters not very suitable for an adventure, but you could ofcourse trace the pictures in photoshop, and edit them that they dont have the "the sims" look anymore. Nice idea anyway!

I just installed Linux redhat 9.0, and i'm pretty new to linux... because of all the damn viruses in windows and also just windows... you know what I mean. I was wondering if any more people are using linux here?

Terran.. i have this question! Could it be that you are using Bryce for the scenes and poser for the characters? Because thats what it looks like! If that is so, maybee we could one day pass over eachothers work, and you could maybee help me to improve my skills. I have sometimes trouble using the lattice to make the object that i want. I am btw making a tutorial for bryce, and how to use it to make nice backgrounds for a game. Btw... very nice screenshots, though you can work on the expression of the characters. I was looking at the screenshot in wich 2 gauys were scanning the area, and the right guy... looks a bit awkward. I look forward playing your game!
