you can zoom in or out in your drawing program or you can draw it in parts, and work secure to let the parts flow over in eachother... look the elephant above shoulda been the whole one, but didnt fit either

yes I did, and I know 1 game that is a good example wich go's further in this, and thats X-Files  . That game is also with search on internet, and you can search for alot... but thats also all programmed. I think it should be possible, but then some guys need to work on a project that its gonna be a plugin, because it requires lots and lots of script!

well uoi have a tablet and a pen. the place where the pen is on the board is sorta your mousepointer. So it's actually a mouse.

I just made a new image in with my tablet and im really starting to enjoy this

In my opinion, you're off to a great start!  But then again, like me, you're almost twice the age of most of the members of this forum So I don't think the complaints were leveled at you.

I don't think the 'vets' on these boards mind posting about games/productions/tech ?s ... I think the drama is more pointed towards those that post random meaningless crap just to up their post count so they're no longer considered 'newbs'... that's all.

I feel like I've been posting here forever and I have only 157 posts.  I tend to bump heads with some of the vets but I respect the seniority and I don't start threads for no reason.

Stick with what you've been doing ... I see nothing wrong with it!

And please keep me posted on your game.  I'd really like to see my name in the credits of a completed game  Even if in just the small part that I helped!!

no, not at all... i liked the idea of someone 30years trying to start on games....:p I can only advice you to always look in the helpfile of ags, before you post!

Hi there! I'm kinda copying the idea of "veryweirdguy" sorry for that, but I think it will be for a lot very hard to create your own fighting character!

So I come now with my idea, for making "AGS PACMAN BATTLES"
It will be a game in wich you can play up to 4 characters, on 1 pc or by network. You can choose your pacman and go fighting against others. You will be rolling all the time around yourself, and you have to shoot and aim on others to defeat them. So your gonna shoot those dots you should be eating normally, but now avoiding them. You can also jump, wich will be a crusial part of the game.

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE GAME READ BELOW!

Well... as I said there gonna be pacman characters only... so follow the steps below to join!

step 1.
Save the picture below wich is the default shape of the Pacman!


step2.
Edit the picture to your own pacman style. Read this carefully:
When you are going to edit the pacman.. leave the blackcircleline the same! Don't change anything of it. Leave the size of the picture 60x60!
Leave the background white! Save the picture as *.bmp 16bit or 24bit!
Don't draw anything outside the lines, you may only add teeth, if you want to!
You can ofcourse for an idea draw within the lines another line, to make the line for fat.

You may change the yellow colour in your own colour, and furthermore change anything inside the pacman. You may even make it in photoshop if you want to polish it nicely, but I prefer you use mspaint.

Here is an example of a possible design!


step3. Give a name to your pacman!
step4. Give the pacman skills. You have 20 points you may spend!
Give points to the following skills. Behind the skills you can see how much you may give at most for that skill! Plz check that you use 12 points!

Speed of pacman : 5 (this is the movement speed)
Rolling speed : 5 (the speed of the change of direction from the pacman, so a low rolling speed gives you more time to aim. 1 points is fast speed and 5 points is slowest speed)
Strength : 10 (how strong your pacman is)
Attack : 5 (how much damage your pacman causes)

step5. Once you did everything written above, you may sent your *.bmp file to my email : peter@w8ff.com with the subject : Pacman

Incluse the number of skills you gave your pacman, and the also your nickname, and the name of the pacman!

When everything is fine with your upload I will make a list in this post of all already available pacman...

I hope you like this, and I will start tomorrow on programming the game, so I can give you some screenshots of how the game is going to be.

One last thing... I'm making this because I love AGS as you all do, and I love the work of CJ, and I have fun here, and this is my contribution to keep it fun

well if you mean this... i can press harder on the pen and then the stroke gets more hard... fuller of colour and bigger in size...  dunno furthermore much about the tablet... only that i just got it, and that i wanna learn to use it real good and draw some awesome stuff for my adventure games
