Hey it looks all awesome, but may a give you alittle hint.

Giving away 5 screenshots would be enough, because giving away each new background, even though you might be tripping to let people see them, you can better keep them to yourself, otherwise there wont be many surprises left in the game. Hope you understand that!

Anyway, great to see you still are in the "working flow"  ;D

I once made a text-adventure with similar story. "Albino Virus".

It was about a guy Matt, that got infected by touching a cat in the lab, with a dangerous unknown virus. He buried the cat, but got infected himself, and slowly turned into some monster, that controlled the will of Matt, to be violent. Then it's your turn to go find him, and take him out, or cure him ;) Still should make that in a point&click game though, because the story rocks, now that I think of it ;)

wow, it took you 18 months to complete this? Did you have a break inbetween, or worked through all the time?

I'm waiting for the server to come online again.... my server is down too :(

the scary weird lullaby for a child monster, wich is also crazy.

Please don't do the porn thing, because that sucks and is an inmature topic i.m.h.o.

whoops, LOL!

No, I can't make that to call it so closely to another game. I'll think of a new title!

Amulet of the king

Solidus Creations, brings you this new adventure game.

PLOT:

You love to play chess. Every spare time you can find, you place the wooden pieces on the squares, just to stare at the wonderful game of chess. Weither you play against an opponent or yourself, it doesn't matter.

One day, just like any other day you start to play a game of chess against yourself, when suddenly you feel dizzy. Everything becomes black, and lose your conciousness.

When you wake up, you find yourself inside the chessboard. Or in other words, chess became a real excisting world, alive infront of your eyes.

There are two sides, the white and the black side. You are in the middle, to be precise,  D4,D5,E4,E5. It's up to you to choose weither to help the white or the black side.
So basically there are 2 different adventures you can lead, and two different endings.

FEATURES:

- Two different storylines
- Pixelart ingame-graphics
- 3d rendered cutscene movies
- Challenging puzzles
- Alot of fun :)

SCREENSHOT:

this is an image of the intromovie, soon ingame screenshots will be released!
*sorry mods, don't mean to avoid rules, I'll just promise to soon add an ingame screenshot!

DATE TO BE RELEASED:

- planned to reach the MAGS deadline, but if not then I'll extend the game and will be released at latest December 2005!

Great a meeting! I would like to come, but I need to have enough money at that moment. IF I win a few hundred thousand euro, I'm sure to come!
:) If I'm financially not going to make it, I wish you guys lots of fun! I might then come to mittens ;)

I might record this evening the song again, with a drum included, and better guitar playing. Maybe extend the song, make it sound more pro! As I only spend an hour on making the previous song ;)

Ok, try to actually take time yourself drawing a background and then post here. The perspective is way off. Are those windows? they look rubbish, and I can see weird white lines.

Also, don't use stupid standers Photoshop filters, as you used in your second picture.

You seem to have it in you, as I can see that the architecture is well thought out, but you need to spend more time drawing, and don't hurry it! I spend 5 - 8 hours per background... as im sure you can do it quicker, but I want it to be good!

Very nice beegee! Did you model this, or made it differently?

I would change the way the castle's stones are textures. Give it more randomisation. Use a larger texturemap, so it adds more realism to it.

Maybe you could add some more single grass to the side of the castle. Like plants growing to the wall.

I can see grass through the window of the right-tower?! Or isn't that grass? hmm..

furthermore, I think you've done a pretty good job!

goto www.schmidt-koelewijn.nl

It's a dutch site.
Goto "zonwering", "binnen", and choose one of the green buttons. You'll see a flash presentation, but it overlapse the side of the page. How can fix this? The presentation isn't too large, but it just overlaps. Thanks in advance!

Another question. Is it possible to give a double ID in html to an item? Because I want to make that the green buttons will be shown only when you click Binnen, and not immediatley.

yeah, alright sounds awesome... what is it about, you have screenshots? Anything visible? Thanks in advance

I'll try to make a game too. Some short game... few rooms length. Like the topic! And yes, as always, I will win this MAGS, like I did with "Puddy Penguin" and "Ralph the Raven"... sorry, no animals in this time!  ;D

Awesome Foz! That's just awesome! Foz, I showed your game (Vel's Apocalypse), to a buddy of me, who's working for "Eidos" in the netherlands, he's a prof at gamedeveloping, and he said that you must be a very talented guy, and he said "It's a game with potention to become professional. Some more effort and finishing touches would do the trick. That were his words, so I encourage you! Go on, with what you like to do! :) Still like you, for putting me in the game btw! :)
#179
it depends. The outlines are ok, i.m.o. but I would get rid of textured fillings. You shouldn't use that. You should draw over the parts you want to colour, with a brush, of 10% opacity.

If you don't understand, I'll explain it in my pixelart tutorial here: http://minimi.spijbelaars.com/solidus/tutorials.html

well I wouldn't consider myself professional yet, I'm a dedicated hobbyist. But it a few months, ill start going to college, to study for 3d-artist in professional way.
