This week has been very awesome for me. I'm very tired now as you are working each day for them intensively from 8am till 2am.
there were 20 groups of +-10 children, and I was leader of one of the groups. It was great to see that the children started to like eachother as days past by. I helped a boy that was hurt because of teasing. He cried in my arms, and I just held him, and told him lovely words and encourage him, that he's so special and that God loves him so much. Now he is only glad, and danced all the time!   I also helped a boy by speaking in new tongues, and recieving the holy spirit. It was an awesome week, combination of recieving and giving.

It's since only actually absolutley 100% sure I'm going! I know now, that I'll get free at Friday. So I can look for a job on that day, and earn some money besides school. I'll be coming home every 2 weekends, so now and then, ill be surfing the forums anyway

In 10 hours I'm going on vacation for one week. I'll be going to a family conference for the 15th time! I'll be children leader there too, for the FIRST time! Pretty exciting, as I was myself a child there some years ago, and now leader!

It's pretty recent still... only a few weeks on the internet. This polish guy is like the best piano player in the whole world, and sure is a fan of Mario! He plays a 10minute mario theme, including all levels, and themesongs. This guy rocks! The speed is so high! And with covered eyes! He also wrote out all the music sheets! Very cool for all musicians!

The man is going to sell a cd at ebay, as he says. He also got a movie of him playing backwards on the piano, really hard!

Well, I'm not completely sure, but NewRoomEx, works only for the player character. Just use NewRoom command, and after that set the coordinates for the NPC, in the other room.

KQ has these popups when you talk to somone, with a character photo, and besides their answers to you. What I want to create is that when you speak to a character in the game, that when you have a dialog runned, that you see the GUI popupwindow, with the character's image, and next to it, their answer to you.

Has someone done this before, or is there a tutorial for this? Thanks alot in advance!

edit : Is it also possible to animate that closeup picture of the character you're talking to?

I remember too, the times playing on the NES 8-bit, CD-I, or MSX. Trying to get any further on a game, with some other people.
I remember we got stucked in Zelda, from the NES. We called an very expensive number, without telling our parents, wich was an NES-Infoline. We got to hear then, that you had to use the flute, at the lake to get to Level7.

Ooh the good old times. Me playing, together with my brother games, on the MSX, and CD-I (that darn cd-i gone all out of business). We bytheway still play Antartica, game from the MSX.

and I'm glad to see, I'm not the only one, with problems finishing games!


PS: the best game story I think is the one of Amerzone. I am really still convinced, that it is based on the truth!

If I may, just a little thing that bugs me, is the even colour red of the wall "The side line". Maybe you can make that alittle darker, and also shadowed, so it fits everything else.

You can use masks for that. Just take your background in your paint program. Then paint every walkbehind place, black. Then make everything else white. Open this black/white painting, in AGS, by pressing the "mask" button, where you can draw the walkbehinds. Now you have an accuracy on your areas.

I was wondering this, as I'm playing Grim Fandango now for over a year, and I just finished "Year 1", of the game. I couldn't figure one puzzle out, with a sign in the ground.

I refuse to use a walkthrough, to finish games, though I did use for some games, like "The Longest Journey", and "The Uncertainty Machine", the walkthrough to complete it. I broke my commitment there.

I finished the following games on my own :

Amerzone
Syberia(cd1 finished, playing at cd2)
Myst 1
Jack Orlando
Ark of Time
Blade Runner
Broken Sword 2
Kings Quest VII
Goblins III

all other games, I'm still playing or gave up on. I'm talking about the big games here. So my question to you is : Do you often use walkthroughs for an adventure game? Or do you refuse to use them? And wich games have you honestly completed without a walkthrough/cheating? To my opinion, alot of games are just too hard!  :

Now that we ARE on the subject, anyone here makes MOD files??? MOD is like teh rule!!

I've been making like 5 years ago (yes I know I was 12 then), some awesome *.mod's(not M0ds :p)... ok anyway, I think mp3 sucks the arse, and everyone should use either midi or mod
