Dear porchbeast. I made Puddy Penguin, and your post reminds me of the bug in the game. It seems that for some people it works, and for some others they get stuck.

I have fixed this bug now, and uploaded the fixed game. Please play it again, and you should be able to enter the yeti, with the spear and the map!

You could use SetGlobalValue(1) for this. (this could be any number)

Every time you want in your cutscene to load the room with it's specified actions for that moment, you could change the global value.
Like the first time to 1, second time to 2 etc. etc... (check the helpfile within ags, for more info on setglobalvalue.

Then in the room script :

if (GetGlobalValue(1) == 1) {
YOUR ACTION HERE;
}

if (GetGlobalValue(1) == 2) {
YOUR ACTION HERE;
}

if (GetGlobalValue(1) == 3) {
YOUR ACTION HERE;
}

That should work!

yes, I had this problem too. You must have used the standard pink colour from MSPaint! Try to change the pink a little bit, I mean,  a little bit darker or lighter... and then import the graphic again.

Is it possible to make walkbehinds/objects that are for example 70% transparent? I'm developing my next big project game, in an isometric style, and I'd like to have this effect, but I don't think it's possible with AGS, at the moment, or is it? If it's possible can someone tell me how to do this?

And if not, CJ, is it possible to implent this to Adventure Game Studio?

Increator, I think everybody has their own goals, and dreams about the developing... like I'd like to make about 15 different games, but it doesn't matter.

Because you should just start on your game, and work, and work and work on it... after working, work some more. You get the idea? And when you are far enough, bring out a demo of the game, and ask for peoples opinions... and after editing alot, and researching and stuff like that... then the time comes to think about maybee going to sell it.

But I want to end with a sentence I read once on this forum :

"The more money you gain, the more respect you lose".

hmm, that's a bug! read below, So when you use the walkietalkie to the wardrobe it opens??? It should only open with the paperclip... now read below how to get the paperclip.

At the bookshelf, there is a walkthrough book, and you need to pick use the hand on these blue books, on the second last shelve from bottom. Now you  look in your inventory to the walkthrough and you'll find a paperclip to open the wardrobe with.

That depends on what you want to acchieve and use it for. I find it very useful, in combination with Bryce, and it is really cheap program, but it's pretty hard to NOT get the poser look ;)

Because... MP3 is licensed or something... like copyright, and you have to ask MP3 for permission, wich costs you pretty much.

Sully and Tanya, I'm wishing you 2 the happiest and greatest anniversary, and that you may stay together, till the time ticking inside you both is up. PS: Sully? Why wouldn't you make an adventure game about you 2? In wich you celebrate the anniversary? Not such a bad idea, huh?

I fixed the following bugs :

- Game won't hang when you enter the stairs
- Sam now walks to a window before he opens it
- Fixed walkbehind in room1

here a hint, in case you get stuck.

Sorry Yakspit, I didn't checked out the link, but now I did. I understand what you were trying to say. Well... there always stay people who are to lazy to learn, and are pretty early happy, so I say... give this guy his happiness. Why not? I mean, he did made it. Ok it's pretty ripped off, and it sucks totally, but I think out of the 6.000.000.000 websites are alot of sucky sites.

I think your aartvark, or something looks pretty cool, actually. You made that one with lattices or  Metaballs? I'm trying also always to get rid off the brycelook, but it's sometimes even if you put lot of work in it, very obvious to see it's made with Bryce :(

That's why the program costs money, and not everyone uses it. I consider myself as a diehard Brycer, and I disagree totally with your judgement of EASY! It's not so easy as you might think. You might only use primitives and landscapes, but have you ever heard of  latticing, grouping, and modelling with Bryce? I guess not, because then you wouldn't call it easy in the first place. It requires planning, and precision.
