Thanks Pau! I did a search on the website of Moho, because I never heard of the program. This is really something I was looking for, and after doing some tutorials, I decided to buy the program, and I just bought it online! Great program. Now I can finally make those neat animation movies, so I'll be busy with that program for the next couple of moments :P

I was wondering if the by m0ds announced event still is going to be done, and if there is any progress. I haven't heard from it for some time, and I'm really interested in it, and I considered going to it.

the thing that really counts, is having phun. I you have no fun, don't enter, if you have, then enter. Graphics don't matter, though it shouldn't look like the drawing of a 4 years old girl/boy WHATEVAH!... and what seems to be important is the plot/story/dialog...you don't need advanced knowledge or something to enter, just make sure you get most of the bugs out, and make a topic of your full game, before the end of 25th of october, so you can enter.

Minimi - your profile states that you're only 16. Did you come to FoA etc. as late at 1997? If so, good for you!
yes, sorry, I wasn't the first one to play it, and secondly we had only a 486 at that moment, and we dealed in that time, with some guy called "harry" who could already burn cd's and was in the illegal business, and we got a cd at that time from him, with about 200 games on it, like all police quests, and indiana jones, and some walt disney games, like alladin... and games like pr0ntris (wow I liked that game!), so... that's the reason I played it at that time. And also... My homesituation wasn't good, like fights of my parents, and I just got back home at that time from my fosterparents, who only had this green/black computer, with princeofpersia and paddlewar....so, that's in short my little excuse :P!

Look... I like adventures, because I'm interested in the story, well for the most part... like my adventure gaming started with the games like Indiana Jones : Fate of Atlantis, Ark Of Time, and Freddy Fish. I was about 9 or 10 years old.

But what I'm trying to say, is that the beauty of adventures, is that they intent to give the player the ability to have control of story, and their choices have influences in the game-world. The thing of cause, and effect. I think an adventure is really good, when it's non-linear, because if it is, it's really just a movie, but if it's not, then you can speak of a game. That's why games like GTA, and The Sims are so popular. They are non-linear, and your actions changes the future of the character/hero. Though this is pretty tough to program, and it needs alot of devotion.

Very well done!

About the rating. Maybee you can let people login or something, and that they can rate the games theirselves, like at the ags-games section.

Furthermore I like it, but somehow I think America's Army doesn't fit in, I don't know why, it just doesn't feel right.

I just played the game, and I do must say that I expected something better. LittleBigAdventure was one  (if not) the greatest adventures of it's time, and surely the most enjoying to me, and from a fangame I just expect a little more effort than just a 2D character with 2D objects, ripped backgrounds... and such. I do think it's a nice idea, but I would go for making the backgrounds myself. Like the fisherman, is just standing there without animation on the background, and that's just not right in my opinion. The main character 2D, and other characters 3D. Furthermore, I think you should implent more interaction with stuff around, and make people walk by. Btw.. about the backgrounds.. why not tracing the ripped backgrounds, and degreasing the colours to fit the colours of your character(s). Just some thoughts and honest critics. Though I was happy to see those moody backgrounds back.

Layaboogie : Sorry, I'll fix that later.

Ben : Thanks for the advice, but at the moment that I drawed it I didn't figure about scanning it, so it was pretty tough removing all the blue, though I did greyscale it.

Eggie : Yes, I'm a fan of Jack Orlando, and I took him as an example, you saw that right, though this DID was some very educative for me, and it improved my skills, i think.

Hmm... I know... I'm making 3 at the moment..
Sam&Moos, almost finished
Trapped in the past, which will take ages to complete, long project
Albino Virus II, got about a few rooms for it, and a character completed.

That lego land idea, was be second thought just STUPID, and Undeniable is at a hold, though Im not sure if I'll continue it, but throwing it just away is also a waste... and Phone Booth, and Escape from Shawshank are also on the hold ;) Happy now??

No, I set this to 20mb, the maximum, and still it wouldn't run, and it slowed everything of my computer down, with the demo of BtS. I have a 1200mhz, with 128mbram, and 4GB free hd-space... I thought that that should just be enough, doesn't it?
#835
I have the same darn problem as Boyd... I get the memory problem. Please o please make a version of the demo where the exe is in seperated parts, because I'm dying to see, and play the game, and learn about the style you are using the graphics with and such... for making that city in bryce... you know... Could you do that? split the 65mb file into some smaller files?

although I'm from holland, I think they will lose heavily, because our team sucks, and we won't qualify for the worldcup again. Holland is the worst club. I put my money on Norway.

I'm not that big of a drawing artist, but I'm learning, and after about 10 hours of trying and trying and trying I drawed this at paper.

http://minimi.spijbelaars.com/scanmrboots.JPG

I scanned it, and it took me several hours to colour it, because of all the white dots, and I did my best to remove the most, and correct some lines. I think this is my best character I have ever made untill now, but I need some of you people to critisize it, so I can improve more. here it is :

Ty, for your reply After. I have to take a look at that bug, but it was my first game, and I'm really not that good at the moment with the script and all. But about visiting Boris... I don't quite understand you, because it was my intention to let you visit Boris right away.

I'm still busy with the production of an FPA-game... It's called "Undeniable", and I haven't worked on it for about a month. Though I'm planning on releasing a demo of it, before 2004, so i gotta get working on it some more. If you want info about the game :

I like the first one, and the last one. It depends on the length of your game wich one you choose. I guess that drawing the last one (most to the right), takes much more time than the first. But if you can, then go for the last one!

Great work!
