in the past days I had this illness to buy everything my eyes saw, and I figured to go search for some good pc adventure games.
I bought these titles:

Syberia - 19,99 euro
Grim Fandango - 14,99 euro
Crime Scene Investigation - 24,99 euro

Im wondering if the games are any good. Crime scene investigation is in my opinion pretty easy... and syberia is amazing beautifull, but i hadn't much time to play it.
For Grim Fandango reminded it me on lba2, and im enjoying it, but what do you think of these games, and did you played them?

I know there are some people here playing counterstrike (me2) and I was wondering if it would be fun, to make an =]AGS[= clan?! Do you think that's a good idea, or do you think its just crap??

I know counterstrike isn't really the kinda game that relates to adventures, but still its a cool game ;P ... so just let know if what you feel for AGS clan?

Neat little game, and with some nice graphics, though the gameplay isn't that good in consideration to the graphics. there are lots of bugs

- character walks too slow
- i can't look at my inventory
- mouse over the keyboard on the desk then appears a message
- i can walk right through the elevator
- walk behinds aren't set good at some places
- its too bad that the key under your doormath is the standard graphic
- standard GUI. it's IMO an ugly GUI, so it would have been nicer to see some custom graphics.
- easy puzzles

though I must say you have some funny and original dialogs in the game, and i enjoyed the talk with the computer. Nice game! I'm hoping that I can finish my MAGS game very soon.

I'm also not making much of a progress, but monday and tuesday.. next week im free from school, and I'm planning to finish it in these 4 days... saturday, till tuesday. I hope I get this finished... it would be a waste if I couldnt get it finished!

no, it's the number of the view. If you want your character to talk, make a new view..and import just for every direction the animation of talking. Look at the list at the VIEW section, wich number of view you have... something like 2 , or 3... #1 is taken by the standard roger character.
fill in this number at the CHARACTERS, talking view for your character, and test it It's btw only working with speech, not with messages.. if you know the difference

I just bought grim fandango today, and im kinda stuck! I need to let some papers for a driver sign by the boss, but I can't get in his office, he doesnt wants to be disrupted. How do I get in? I have some balloons, breads, carddeck, a loose Ace card... i really can't seem to find a way!

I'd say, go work on your game, and when you are somehow further with it, post something in games in production with some screenies. Then release a longer demo, and ask for opinions. I myself dont like remakes or fangames at all, because i like to play new adventures, cuz of the storyline... you know... but my advice is to just go working on it, and don't mind sooo much about other peoples opinions.

Hmm... interesting, I'm 208cm long and i have a weight of 68KG. I could use some more, but that doesn't work. I'm eating mostly junkfood and lots of chocolate, but I won't get any more fat. Maybee it's just because im only 16 years, and that the weight comes later on.

GL neighbour with you weight. In my opinion it doesn't really matter how much you weight, only that your not bringing yourself in health danger, for example sumo-wrestlers. I think it's good to avoid other peoples opinions around you, and in magazines, because you shouldn't look at the norm. You are who you are, and you shouldn't be unhappy with what and who you are. If your getting happy of a diet or excersise, then its okay, but don't do it, just for the "good" look to others.

I don't know about about the first thing of the sound, because i never worked with speech, but for your second question, you should put between the move command and the show message command a wait command.

actually I have the same problem, but I figured I'd make first the whole game, and at the end I'm drawing the beast. I also have some trouble with it, though i think I'll manage it, cause I grabbed some example pictures of a Yeti from google
