I prefer June.

See you there.

If this means we get to see more stuff regarding The Legend of Leitor's Edge, I have only one thing to say.

Go for it! Now!

EDIT: Uh, of course I'll do my best to get my own stuff done, too. Honest.

Nice photos, Jet, very nice. :)

General Discussion / Re: Horror
Mon 26/09/2005 10:00:30
Horror movies = yay. Except for IT, it doesn't count as a horror movie. :P Even though I'm not as fanatic as ProgZ, I do love horror movies and try to convince my friends to rent them whenever we meet up to watch movies.

When I was a kid I found 'The Exorcist' and 'Nightmare on Elm Street' scary, I was horrified after seeing certain scenes from those movies. Then there was a mini series where aliens abducted people, I couldn't sleep properly for a couple of weeks after seeing it. It wasn't horror though, but I was young and found it scary.

Favourites:
- The Shining
- The Wicker Man
- Nightmare on Elm Street
- Killer Klowns from Outer Space
- The Thing
- The Invisible Man
- Evil Dead
- Night of the Living Dead
- 28 Days Later
- Halloween

Braindead is good too, and gory. Hellraiser and Cabin Fever are gory too. Dreamcatcher was strange. The Blob is fun. The Exorcist 2 is the worst movie ever. Critters is teh lol.

And I would look like this:

But I look like some selfish bastard in that one. So I just keep stabbing CJ to the shoulder.

You know, I had the same problem some time ago, only in my case the sounds didn't work if they were very very short, like, a second or less. I solved the problem by copying emptiness to the end of the sound to make it slightly longer.

I found the old thread, http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=18060.0

Pom. 1st post, ok?

Also, check this thread: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=22532.0

I like your current work, very nice colours and stuff, but as said it doesn't look CMIsh. I'd suggest getting a scanner or a tablet and studying those links in khrismuc's post. But keep it up, it seems you have gotten quite a good grasp of computer art already.

General Discussion / Re: Real life game
Tue 20/09/2005 22:30:11
I think Andail posted it here to ask us for ideas and comments on how to develop this 'Real Life Quest'. Surely a group of adventure gamers has better ideas for something like this, instead of a group of random people from Andail's home town?

Personally, I find this idea neat. The whole 'searching websites for clues' idea reminds me of game In Memoriam. Good luck with it, I hope you actually get it done!

Outrageous Orange, Laser Lemon, and Jungle Green. That's what I said. Wild Watermelon, Midnight Blue, Atomic Tangerine... Radical Red, Sky Blue, and Shamrock too, and Gold so true it glows. I love the Razzmatazz, and Purple Pizazz, and Razzle Dazzle Rose.

Well, actually...

...orange. But it requires some heavy thinking, almost as if I have lost my ability to think numbers and alphabets in colour!

Yo ho ho! Yarr! I put on me eyepatch and polish me pegleg etc. (though it's already over here.)

Let's have behave like a ninja day, too. Everyone should be cool, flip out, talk in subtitles and cut heads off of random people. That would be sweeet.

Indeed.

Happy ?th Anniversary, AGS! Party at CJ's!

They should re-release NES and SNES instead, I have so many working NES carts, but no working console! And don't you even dare to mention emulators, nothing beats playing real NES attached to television.

The new controller does look a bit like sextoy, but I guess I can't judge it as I haven't tried it. It looks like it could be good, but who knows? At least it's innovative and interesting, I hope it turns out to be best of the best.

Besides, September = (possibly) school (for me).

Happy birthday, Pessi! Have a good one (or, I hope you had a good one, I bet you aren't around right now to read this topic :P )!

Ah. You people got it all wrong. Lemme explain:

First go here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=22346.0 Search the post for links to various Mittens photos. Often the photos have silly description, for example: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/mittens2005/DSCF0088.html

So you would Photoshop that picture with blood all over the knife and on m0ds' clothes. You would also Photoshop m0ds face so that it doesn't look like he is smiling. Then the description "JetXL wipes that smile off m0ds' face." would be correct. Get it?

Very nice rules, Ishmy! I'll try to get something done, at least there is plenty of time to enter.

Aww, I missed embarassing stories because I was sitting in the other end of the table. But at least I got to see Chris Quest!

2ma2, I finally saw Battle Royale as you suggested, it was very good!

Something happened to me last night that reminded me of this whole earwig business.

I was sleeping and suddenly woke up because something was itching my ear and I had caught something between my fingers. So I turned on lights and...

...I had one of those in my hand. I don't know the correct English name for those, straight translation from Finnish would be sugar maggot/worm. Latin name is lepisma saccharina. I don't think it ever went inside of my ear because I caught it on my ear flap. I guess it fell on me from ceiling whilst I was asleep.

(note: those things are not very big, the biggest ones are about 1cm long and the one I found wasn't even that long. I wasn't even freaked out because I encounter those things every day in the bathroom.)

My 8-bit Nintendo pirate clone console.

...actually, I still have it, but it's broken. I also want back the Snes I never had.
