dont mess with circular carpets :x lol

now, your drawings do look as good as you do :) this is a compliment
( sorry for beeing french :D )

Nice work, you seem easy with sketches, good for you !

not ashamed of telling that I am the one who asked :)

I stick to "pixel by pixel" drawing, I wanted a more "drag your paintbrush" on the screen approach. This is nice, just like I wanted it ...

And for the artistic, technical, details, I guess that Andail uses a wide brush, then a narrower one the next step, no ?

For the drawings, as someone said, some come with them when they were born, but the other can learn them. I have read in a drawing course that you just have to practise, practise , practise to become good ... like in all domains.

1 / First, draw what you see in front of you, without looking at your paper. Then check the result, this trains your brains to recreate the proportions , do it again and again

2 / then draw every thing you see, everytime, perspective, proportion, realism will grow then

3 /  now , draw from what you see in your brain, and that should be as clear as you think it ...

Good luck

Thanks again Andail :) you rock

you should have darkened the shadows more, they are quite "not visible" , to my p o v

Maybe orange wasnt a good taste choice for the wall colors, but, that's ok ... I can happen, everyone has different tastes

Last thing, some parts look really detailed like the bookstand, the "ideas" box, etc , some over parts looks more blurrish ( blurry ? ) or inachieved, like the top of the desk, the metallic cabinets too ... or I feel like that because of the lightings, I dont know, do you see what I mean.

And for the character : IT S ALIVE ALIVEEEEE ( talking of the foot :p )

edit : french word instead english sorry ;p

this is democracy ;) !
I was just wondering ... I put my sprite on a transparent background and it looks less nice on the blue background of the forum than it looked with a black background ( when I drew it ) ...

The frog / flea picture uses a white bg, it still looks nice but I guess the blue deserves me as I picked a blue/gray for the metallic parts !!

Anyway !!

Is the voting over ?

[in france]
In cities, beeing a teacher is harder than beeing a cop ...

You have no fighting courses in college :), When you are a cop, you do ( actually no college needed to be a cop lol )

But teachers do not win much here, as school is a "public service" , you are paid by the government, and earn, well, almost nothing ;)

University and private schools teachers win more.

nice little game, but I went to the chief with all the correct clues, but I didn"t know how I have to find before getting to him

anyway, the graphics must have been fast to draw ;) I reminds one of mine firsts, I did it on purpose

Nice game

If you are not satisfied with your handdrawn outlines, just try to redraw then with your computer, that would give them a sharper aspect.

Nice job by the way.

nice "jap-anime" style sketches, I hope your scripting will be as good as your pencil skills :) ( I saw cute pictures ruined by lame programming )

But you simply rock :)

One little thing : all the ladies you draw where drawn in winter ? lol Look like they are all having cold :D (*jk* )

Patrick Spacek is working on a monkey Island remake, his posts has been lost in the "recruit" mess ...

I found his art, at random, on the internet, then figured he has already posted here, you really should have a look at his work !!!

( all bakcgrounds in 3D ! )

a sample !

I dont know if someone answer him ( search SPACEK ) in the forum. I guess you must be as talented as he is to provide us a really handsome remake.

That's it !

Ok I ended it yesterday, the game is great.

I enjoyed the dialogs, very well built, and the backgrounds ( As I draw myself, I like to detail how others do, and you do good :) )

The only bad thing in this game is that it was too short, not too easy, but ok.

Bravo !

Sam : Don't say bravo Max ! ( highly cultural reference needed )

Little bug ( I guess )

Spoiler

When you come back to the bar ( and meet the lady there )
Nick asks to be hypnotized once more, and when vince refuses again "No nick how many times must I tell you ), it is Nick that is talking. ( his text color, his mouth moving, but it's Vince answer )

the download link from ags seems not working. ( I downloaded from your website )

Paolo, I saw in your profile that you translated a game to french, will you do so for trance pacific ?
if not, may I ? ;)

Hey :)

Nice game, It reminds me vaguely of the "Carmen Sandiago" by the graphics, this is a compliment.
The story seems good and I liked the first dialogs, I havent finished it yet.

Two things : stop saying "sorry" to anyone, you dont have to be !! You rock :D, even there are some bugs ! lol

2/ Do you hire a english to french translator ? I could do it for you, fast ( and furious ), I am french, and many many players are too ... That would promote you game from the other side of the channel ( or atlantic )

Well, It's up to you, but the site really miss bilingual games ... and yours deserves to be more known.

You can pm me.

Hails go to anyone over there :)  I dont post often

Wed 05/09/2007 14:06:17
Hello

I am looking for a a tool to decompile my tra - translation  file  from a game I've made ...

I've lost the source of the game, and want to access the full text in clear.

Can I read it from ags edit ?? Or Can't I ...

Thank you for your quick answer !

Very very nice game, as i commented in the game section.

Almost perfect, to me, except it is a too short ;)
Very immersive !

arrrrrrrr

lol

I really like the graphics too, it's amazing what you can do with so few colors, I am covered in shame while using shadows / filters and antialiazing, you master the fine art of pixel drawing, all my congratulations.

( Do you seek any job ? ;p )
