I like the idea of the help being inside the main window, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement.

Actually, I like being able to alt-tab between the editor and the help page :)

Likewise.

I use two monitors and its really nice to be able to have the help window open on one of them and ags on the other, so Im happy the way it is now :)

I dont know if this is worth anything but when I double clicked on the rooms to edit them this came up:

Yey, I SOLVED it! At least what was wrong in my case (don't think it applies to Scotts case).
I started to think about when and where I used AGS the last time, and realized it was not at home, but in an office where I bring my laptop and use it in a dual screen environment. So, what happened was that AGS started as normal, just that I could not _see_ it, cause I closed it on the other monitor,  not the main laptop one. After some alt+spacing and arrowkeying, the window came sliding in from the left! It had been working the whole time!! Gaaaah!

Im relieved though, that it was not a severe bug, just a case of AGS not checking wether it is visible or not. Or something.

Uninstalled Media Player 11 and its Media Format 11. Rebooted in between, but no. Same thing. The process takes up about 17Mb though.

Can't think of any other program I have installed after AGS worked the last time.

Find this pretty annoying, as I was just going to finish my first test game to show my group of people that we could use this engine for the game we are developing :-\

Has anyone else except me and Scott experienced this?

Yeah, Blender and..  yeah! The Windows Media Player 11 Beta! (Don't ask me why) I wonder if I can get that out of my system though... Ill give that a try.

Still I think its weird.  ???

(Hello everyone, new to the forum, too bad my first post is a crazy-problem kinda question.)

I have what seems to be the exact same problem as ScottDoom :-/

When I try to start AGS like any other day, the splash screen comes up, one instance of ags shows up in the task bar, and very quickly another one blips up and dissappears next too it. Then nothing. Not even an error message, and I can't right-click it and close it from the taskbar, must end the process.

Things Ive tried:
- Rebooting, many times and also in between all the other things Ive tried.
- Uninstalling programs that I might have installed after using AGS the last time. The only program I can remember installing is blender though.
- Turning off as many background processes as possible.
- Spyware and virus check.
- Starting windows in Safe Mode

Nothing changes. I dont even get the error message SCott got. All other functions and programs in the computer seems to be unaffected.

The only thing I can think of now i formatting the harddrive and reinstalling windows  :'(

Any ideas would be insanely appreciated.
