This could be a little too demanding to be my first game ever. I was really hoping to enter this months competition. I can't say for sure what's gonna happen. Let's say I'm thinking about it.

"I can't believe this much. Jess asked Ron to the dance although she, like shouldn't have, cos we made a deal. Like what a backstabber! My life is so over.", she thought.

No offence to any of the girls here. I just thought this was a funny bit.  :)

Sorry to hear about the ticket.  :(
I don't really have an educated opinion about this, because for one I live in another country. But usually when dealing with authorities the more knowing and arrogant you seem to be the less you'll get done. Politeness and generally being "a good citizen" goes a long way when dealing with the government-type people. Even if you wouldn't believe in that sucking up-thing. It's just a matter of being "the good guy down on his luck" in the eyes of the judge.
I think RickJ had a few good pointers in there for defence but I don't know if the right way is to go as far as blaming police hardware faulty (maybe it is in USA?). Be civilized and reasonable in your arguments. Hopefully you'll win the case!  :)

In the future when you're doing questionnaires you might want to research first about how to make one so that the results are easily processed to meaningful numbers and graphs. The choice between good, okay, bad and don't really care is not that useful because you can't really compare the results succesfully (ex. how does "don't really care" and "okay" correlate?). Try sliding scales of 1 to 5 where 1 is definite negative, 5 is definite positive and 3 is neutral to the matter at question. Graphs you can fairly easily build in programs like spss where you just input the results and the program does the rest.  :)

There's something about a pixel

It fights NOT like a cow

A game engine to PICK UP and USE

Always in your inventory

Adventure starts with a single pixel

Best adventures ever made

Journey to adventure

@Andail

I think generalizations are bad, for everybody. They narrow your image of the world by making up rules and guidelines which aren't there. The more dangerous thing is that people usually start to believe in them because they are easy to manage in your head. People are complex and so are their motivation for actions.

*You are to show us a screenshot of a game sporting atleast one Orealeant (visible on the screen).

*An Orealeant is not invisible, nor is it background-colored, or so fast that it's impossible to catch one on the screen.

Actually Joel doesn't have an Orealeant in the picture contrary to the rules (if you want to be picky  ;)) so that's why I'm giving a vote to Akatosh.

Seriously though Joel's background is more visually appealing, but I would definitely want to play Akatosh's game more. Good job the both o'yas!  8)

Gates of Doom

-"What are you doing!? That shit is deadly!", shouted Evrion.
-"It's ok, everybody! This will make our lives much better.", said Bill in a trance-like state.

Evrion took his gun and pointed it at Bill.

-"Now... slowly... step away from the computers and drop the Vista installation dvd from your hand."

Hesitation

I never hesitated when they commanded. I saw too many times what happened when you disobeyed orders. One man was beaten to a bloody pulp and then shot to the groin. He was alive two hours after. They gave us towels and some soap to get cleaned. Inside I knew this time I should have hesitated.

Accident

If I could take it all back, I would. That night ended in a crash.
At the hospital my friends saw how depressed I was. "It is going to be okay", they said.
I knew it wasn't. My whole life was over.
I was going to be a father.

Dagnabit. I almost finished this piece but hit into problems on the battlescene. No worries though I updated the whole song with little something extra and added the "baddie"-part. I have too much to do tomorrow so I know I haven't time to finish it.   :-\

I hope you like it the way it is!

PixelPerfect - Life And Death.mp3

To listen click on the play button when it appears in the upper left hand side image. This kinda remind me of the ongoing battle of life and death and that's why it's named after that.
Thanks for the compliments MoodyBlues & tube! I really like MoodyBlues your midi a lot aswell!

I can't make the deadline so I'll just post what I have cooked up at the moment. This has establishing and the good guy part so I guess it's somewhere halfway there.

EDIT2: link removed to unfinished tune - Thanks for the 3 more days. I'll try to finish my piece in that time!

I'm so slow with these and then bartillier makes something like that in 1 1/2 days. That's impressive bartillier!  :o

EDIT: Just wait for the play button to appear in the upper left hand corner and click it. Volume might be a little low.

The 23rd ball dropped from the hole and it was still blue. One of the girls from the other family catched the red and were led to the stairs. I didn't notice the scream anymore. The last ball was dropped. I sighed from relief. My father would make it. I was led to the stairs.

Alek counted the remaining bullets. Two. Both of the casevian spiders creeped slowly to start feasting on his flesh. He knew what would happen to Earth if either of those warmongers reached the beacon. Alek's infection was worse and the clock ticked to most horrifying death. He prayed to die quickly and fired two times.

I have to agree with previous poster and give a vote to Fyntax. Although it would've been nice to hear how it progresses beyond that screen (or does it?).

Kudos to all participants for creativity!

I've also lurked on the outskirts, but made up my mind to enter this competition. This is posted on 4share and you should be able to listen it without downloading first. Just wait for the player to show.
