I shall make the first ever popsicle pub and I shall be its Pub Master!!  :D

A worthy goal for 2012. Good luck with that, Ben.  8)

But popsicles are delicious!  :o

That's true. But you can't stay in there all day. It's not a pub!

I'd need at least a week to finish my game. So unless Ghost can swoop in, it looks like Icey's done it again. Congrats, Icey.  :)

For your consideration:

Barn Runner 5: The Forever Friday - Chapter 3

Pictured: A Thrilling Cutscene! (There were LOTS of those in this game!)

Why vote for this game? It's just the greatest Barn Runner game ever! (Which may not be saying much, but it's a personal best! And that's gotta count for something, right? ;) )

What do you need to know about this long-delayed yet finally released game? I'll tell you!

Check out my stats panel.
(Which seems to be the thing to do this year)

The work of one man over a period of two and a half years (four if you count the original build which was lost when my old hard drive crashed and I had to start the whole thing over from scratch). The greatest labor of love since Neil Armstrong built a rocket in his backyard so he could go to the moon and get his frisbee back!

Stats:
640x480, 16 bit, made with love using AGS 2.72
421 rooms (103 of them playable)
Oodles of cutscenes, all hand drawn and rendered with AGS herself (no FLICs or other such trickery!)
Tons of optional arcade sequences, mini games, and other goodness. Plus a gratuitous sex scene!

I've been making AGS games since 2003 and haven't won an award yet. But this year, I hope my magnum opus will finally send me soaring into those halcyon heights.

Please consider voting for my game, and thank you for your consideration!  :D

Is it that Stephen King one? (I had to look up the name, Christine, but the car looks diferent so I'm probably wrong anyway).

Nope. Christine was a red Plymouth Fury. This vehicle is custom built. (Also, it is pure evil.)

Live action Full Throtle movie?

Nope. But if you recall that episode of Futurama where Bender is tormented by a were-car, this movie was the inspiration for that design!

A popsicle stand (or shop) is possibly the most boring place you can possibly be. Blowing (or leaving) a popsicle stand means to light out for greener pastures -- or at least to find a less boring place to be.

And now you know!

And knowing is half the battle!

Ya, my future self just told me it has become my past self without even getting a stab at a good game. This theme is cursed...

Then we must break the curse... By having this theme again!  ;)

Nice sprite Ghost. Anybody else interested? C'monnnnn!

Oh fine. If you're gonna pout, I'll make a MAGS game for you and leave it under your Christmas tree.  ;)

Sadly, this turned out to be a lie. I have 2/3 of a game, but there's only five hours left until midnight and I'm going to a friend's house to ring in the new year. Sorry. I gave it my best shot, but with the holidays, the bake sale, and everything, I just ran out of time. :-[

May I suggest we revisit this theme once more. "Third time's a charm" and all that.  ;)

What on Earth are you people talking about? It's not even 6pm! Heck, it's not even dark!

This can only mean one thing... You guys have a time machine! Quick, tell me tomorrow's winning lottery numbers!  :=

Happy New Year, AGSers!

AGS Community,

Please ignore the previous post. Forces beyond our control* have forced us to bump the Bake Sale to January 20th. I apologize for the delay and I hope you'll all bear with us for a few more days while we get things together behind the scenes.  ::)

Post-emptive answer : For sure it is!
Best introduction to political theory, history of democraty, history of critical thinking ever made by a filmaker and... it's totally watchable!

For a moment there, I was sure you were talking about The Last Starfighter.

The AGS Bake Sale is happening January 15th.

If any bakers have a game they're still working on, please get it in by the end of this weekend. Thanks.  :)

I haven't heard much recently on the backsale so unless it has been extend I can only deliver a demo however that doesn't mean I am not going to finish this game cause it has so much potential and just have to put all my free time into the game.

All bake sale games need to be turned in this weekend (or Monday morning at the latest). If the game isn't done, a demo will probably be okay.

Also, I really like that music. It's so good, I was surprised to learn it was fan work.  :)
