Well Hotspot, Derrick Cole has those powers and he is the only one who can kill solus. You need to BOOM! GIVE THE SMACKDOWN! As for LGM, on the game, you can look down and see legs, a torso and that right there makes it unique. One part in the game Solus taunts you. Computer takes over and Derrick tries to punch but Solus grabs his fist and pushes him back on the ground. It looks cool. Definatly couldn't pull that off on 007 game. All James Bond is on those games is a floating torso.

Wow, I didn't think you were that bad at AGS... wow. I walked on the walls and I grabbed a cup from like 80 feet away. But, like you said, you are new to ags. Maybe you would like some help? I am excellent with MS-PAINT.

I know it isn't good to most people but I think it looks good.
I did that in MS-PAINT and I would like to help you dude.
This screenshot is going to be in a parody I am making but this is your thread so I won't go any further. Just private message me if you need something.

Go there and click the Nightmare.zip link to download.

The house

The barricaded tunnel

The starting point

Hope you enjoy the demo and I know there are some bugs and it ends without nothing saying the end but please enjoy it anyway.

The Story- You are a man named martin who is just graduating from college. One day you get a letter in the mail from your grandmother. Your happy in one way but spooked in the other. You haven't seen your grandmother in 15 years. You decide you will go see her V.I.A the directions in the letter. You asked your friends but they wouldn't come. So, you drove up there. A tunnel had been barracaded so you found another way around. When you get to her cabin, you open the door slowly and quietly. The light isn't on. You turn it on, and then nothing is as it seems...

EDIT: If the download page is down, then I will fix it tomorrow on thursday night. Sorry for the inconveinience.

EDITAGAIN: I got the download to work but I am afraid that after someone dls it, you have to wait an hour before you can get it again. sorry! The download works sometimes. just click on it and if the error comes up just hit back and click it again. I did this and I was able to test the dl.

EDITTHREE: I changed the link to the download page. I gave you the story.

Well I have an XBOX and I sure spent a hell of a lot on it. Just to watch DVD's on it, you need to buy a remote that doesn't come with batteries and all together it costs like 55 bucks. Games aren't that bad but the playstation and gamecube have the funnest games. I currently have 11 games and 4 controllers but no XBOX LIVE because I am a poor bastard.

Anyway... NEXT UP! What do you think your computer would say to you if it could talk?
(Any kind of offensive word has to be in computer slang, like MEGABYTE)

This is my new avatar. Check it out. I lost a family member in 911 :( so, I decided to make my avatar that. It's supposed to be like watching from far away. It goes rather quick so you might not see it in the background behind the trees.

General Discussion / Breakdown by Namco (XBOX)
Wed 18/08/2004 20:15:27
Hey. Today I played one of the best First Person Shooters on the XBOX. The game is called Breakdown. You are a guy named Derrick Cole, who was a former U.S. Military Sargent. A lab in Yokohoma, Japan had did some experiments on you, and after the experiments you go into a deep coma for a long time. You finally wake up to have a docter saying "Hey, wake up."
"Your our last chance!" For over 10 years, the lab has been researching about a place called Nexus, a highly evolved culture that is sleeping underground on a place called Site Zero. However, their sleep is disturbed and they start to enhabit the earth. They plan to launch rockets and spread superhuman beings called T'lan Warriors all over the world. These creatures can withstand rockets, missiles, grenades, or any kind of human firepower. Apparently, you, Derrick Cole, were the only survivor of a project called The Alpha Project, in which experiments are done to enhance cells. Scientists have found what seems to be a super stimulation called "T'Langen" and when injected into human cells, the cells morph and rapidly increase, thus making the human body more efficient. Superhuman powers begin to develop in a stage called Accelleration, which can occur at any anytime. But you aren't the only one who has the uniqueness. There is a being who guards Nexus. His name is Solus. He has no understanding of feelings, fear, or anything whithin the human brain. He seeks and destroys, using massive power.

The reason why I love this game so much is because Namco has actually tried something unique with FPS. You can punch, kick, and basicly, do anything. You can even do backflips and you see it all through Derrick's eyes! The punch kick thing is different from other FPS's. You can get combo's the more you accelerate, making the game's depth alot bigger. If you see a burger or some soda, grab it and eat/drink it if you want to. Or look at a file lying around, also another thing that impressed me. I have one thing that I can't get over though, and that's the difficulty of this game. Even on normal, this game is extremly hard! Another concern is the game's interface. It can be VERY irritating! When you pick up an item, you have to look at it, then put it in your inventory. It gets annoying in battle or when there are many things to pick up. Another thing is health items. Some things like Rations, or, Cola cans, you can't keep them. If you find one you pick it up, look at it and you either eat/drink it or throw it away. That really sucks if you have low health and are stuck in a hard situation. But, it is a great game with a awesome story and outstanding graphics. Voice acting is pretty decent too. It's worth the rent or the $50.00 price tag, despite the minor flaws.

TROGDOR WAS A MAN........ NO WAIT...... HE WAS A... DRAGONMAN! ......... OR MAYBE........ HE WAS JUST A DRAGON! I love homestarrunner.com I beat Peasant's Quest. It took me a while but it was funny and very good. Thought AGS was taking over the internet!

Now I read in the Contents section of AGS that you can have a loading screen appear while your game is loading. I know what to do, you know, save it as PRELOAD.PCX and put it in the game folder, but it never comes up. Not a problem, but I worked alot on the loading sequence only to have it not even come up.

If you were trying to make the EXACT Maniac Mansion, you didn't quite get it at it. Only because there was a way to beat the game in like 30 mins on the original. You have to get the glowing key and the radio tube. Only Bernard can get the radio tube. When you get both, look at the poster in the room with the radio in it. Use the radio tube with the radio and then call the Meteor Police. They will tell you to meet them in the brig in 5 mins. Get caught. When in the brig, use glowing key on both padlocks and open inner door. Open inner door. The reason why I couldn't beat it just now was because the original code was 0000. Now I don't know what it is. Plus, the original had different ways to do stuff, like opening the grate outside you had to use the tools, but now, all you do is pull the bushes and pull the grate, which gets you furthur into the game faster. But, if you were trying to recreate it but not making it easy like that, or adding some changes, then you succeded. Original was a very good game. This wasn't bad but the animation could be better. I loved the pictures. They were good quality. I ain't saying this game is so bad that no one else should play it, I just prefer the original more. Others might disagree but, I still love the original. Good job. I liked this game even though I didn't beat it the real way. Now, I shall go get my NES and play the original.
BTW: found a bug. If you have someone pull the gargoyle and don't let him go, that person ends up by the front door and if you try to walk anywhere, it doesn't walk. But to get rid of this, walk out the front door and walk back through it to be able to walk again.

Wow... I can't believe I downloaded that and for you to actually make that. What a waste to AGS. It probrobly hates you know.
#1217
I liked it but I found 2 bugs.

Spoiler
The first thing I found was if you talk to the guard with the purple writing, he says Stay Put and then his view changes and stays to where he is laughing.
The second one I found was after you give the money to the guard, you still have it.

Wow... the ending was a big surprise(? if it isn't spelled right, i don't care) but I loved it and I thought that this was better than 5 days a stranger. I also heard about the secret scene and would like to see it. Maybe someone knows...
#1219
Um... ok. RM, nice idea, sounds very identical to Identity.
and.. ah what what the hell... how come he doesn't get the Im with stupid sign?! Doh! More screenshots  and maybe some characters would be good. And, you might here this from others, don't post BMPs. Use GIFs or even the crappy JPEG. It is a pain to load up on 56k modem but thankfully, I have my trusty ROAD RUNNER!

LOOKS AWESOME! nice eye candy! ;) I love RPG's except turn based ones(well, I like Final Fantasy). The fighting style is like SNK's Crystalis for NES. Your characters look just like RPG characters, which is a very big plus. Good luck on this game, and if you do finish it, I will definatly download this!
