General Discussion / Re: Thrill Rides
Fri 08/06/2007 01:37:55
I skateboard, but the thrill is nothing compared to that.

I went to Six Flags, and they have a coaster called Kingda Ka. The thing starts off flying forward at 100 MPH (I think its a little more) and it goes straight up (and I mean STRAIGHT up) in the air 438 ft while spiraling, then it goes down the other 438 straight down drop, reaching speeds over 100 MPH before finally braking.

It looked really short, but im afraid of heights, and seeing every dot (people :)) on the ground and the really small buildings, plus the enormous amount of countryside, I got really scared and stared screaming when we hit the drop.

It was all laughs after that. I even saw my picture that they take when you hit the drop and my face looked something like this:

If I could ride it again, I would. It was really fun when I got off, but the sheer exhilaration and fear when I thought that I was gonna die on a rollercoaster was utterly intense.

Let me tell you something. A battle engine isn't easy to make, but there are a lot of topics on it, so search it up and you'll find it out. If your prepared to make your own engine, then by all means do so.

I can't think of a solution for the characters. The only thing I can think of would take along time. Maybe you could use overlays?

This is fantastic!

The only help I can offer is some things I saw:

1) Sometimes when driving and turning into a collision detection zone, the car goes through it.

2) No reverse. Maybe this was intensional?

3) Sometimes when driving at an angle, the car seems to go in a slightly different direction. (You already addressed this but just letting you know. :))

Im sorry I can't help you coding-wise. Its all maths to me and I don't quite understand it yet.

Good luck! :)

Sounds cool, like a game I used to play. (Overblood on the PSX).

Hope you finish the game!

Wow really fun, like tower defense in Warcraft III.

I got to lvl 34, and I lost horribly. Thoe bosses did me in pretty good.

Ahh, what a great movie that was.  :)

Cornbeef Hash Supreme

Take a can of corn beef hash and fry it in a pan with some butter.
Gradually add a bit of steak sauce every 2 minutes while stirring.
Keep adding and stirring until cooked.
Eat, and never be hungry again!

General Discussion / Re: StarCraft 2

I pwned Warcraft II (Battle.net Edition) and I loved it because it had a variety of things besides BGH (Big Game Hunter- 8 bases, 4 vs 4) that I played alot. It had Free Castles (every unit and building was free and was made instantly) which was really fun because it was so fast, and the battles were really intense.

My favorite, Mage Dodgeball. Its a small 32x32 map that was separated by something you couldn't cross like a river. Every player (4 vs 4) had 2 mages, each with fireball and fireball only, and the goal was to get all the other players on the other team out. The fireballs only needed to hit you once (everyone had 1 hp) but it was so fun.

I loved Starcraft, and the expansions that came after it. I moved onto Diablo II though, so I didn't spend much time on Starcraft. I played through the single player campaign, and played it online a few times, but that was it. After playing WAR2BNE I couldn't go back to Starcraft; it was too slow paced for me, and I didn't have friends who actually played it, because they preferred WAR2BNE better.

I want to say that I can't wait, but I won't be getting Starcraft 2, because I have a crappy computer. It looks really sweet though.

Radio did you really do that?

I think he means this:

You click on a door, and a list appears showing you what you can do, and you click on one of them, like in Lure of the Temptress.

Won't be done easily though.

Ahh I remember those days... I had RPG Toolkit 2, making lame RPG's. Then I went to learn DarkBASIC, which was really boring and not worth my time. Then on to AGS, which has been my favorite.

So have I made any games using anything else? Yup, really lame ones.  :D

Wow that was awesome! I didn't get very far, just to Rudy's stand, but that was pretty fun. The part with the clowns was funny, I laughed my arse off!

So yes, I did enjoy playing this.  :D

Actually, Spybot is not as useful as SpySweeper.

And I agree with Boyd. Common sense is the best defense. (rhyme?  :=)
