WOW!  :D

This is fantastic Steve!

I guess you should just wait until CJ does something with this. Someone suggested more objects I believe, so I guess you should just wait.

Oh shit...

Klaus idk if my entry will be ready in time. I was hoping to finish it before the deadline but not sure if that will happen.

I know I sound like an ass here, but it seems as though you made no attempt to search for these topics. Reading the manual can tell you these things. Well that is all I wanted to say. And heres a tip:

320x200 rooms = 45x90 sprite (well thats what I use  ;))
#825
Yeah, and even if you do learn how to rip sprites, please don't post them on here. Thats happened way too many times already and it ruins everyones fun.

Take a look at the past Sprite Jams and you'll see what I mean...
#826
Well, i did not expect all of that even tho I should have. :)

I just wanted to know if anyone used Kaillera and maybe would play.
#827
He means when you ride him somewhere, you can get off and he'll be there, regardless of where you go.

I can't help on this problem, as i have been working out how to use a car in my game.
#828
Elliott, everone knows that  ;)

But even so, its still illegal.
#829
Oh crap, well, not sure if i can post this, I guess I'll hide it.

Spoiler
Kaillera is a program you play with an emulator to play on the internet with other people. Users have to use the same roms and same emulators to play. It's loads of fun, but I understand if no one is into this sort of thing.

But then again, with my evil plan, loading up the source code in AGS shall completely and utterly destroy you computer!!11!1!!  :=

J/K but that was just the demo, I always create a copy for the final version.

Does anyone play on Kaillera? If you do what server?
#832
Haha, I like that, R4L...

I like Vincent, and Rick. Hmmm... I might use Vincent, IMO it sounds better with Harding. Vincent Harding.

Here is another pic:

And here is the edited version of the last pic:

Jet: Eddy sounds a little petty, like My Cousin Vinny petty. Do you have another name?

EDIT:Sorry if that came out to be insulting, I didn't really mean to say it like that.

UPDATE: I decided to put together a little non-playable demo that reveals some story. It the intro for the game. You can download it HERE.

Thank you so much!  ;D

Dig, I plan to use 320x200 backgrounds greyscaled down, just with a Sin City flair. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

UPDATE: Here is a new screen for the intro sequence:

Thank you all for the help!

Can anyone think of a good name for my character? Right now, I can't think of a good name. Im looking for a name that sounds gritty, but good too. Im no good at creating character names. :P

EDIT:Actually, I think I found a name but if you can think of something better, please tell me. I've come up with Harding, John Harding.

EDIT2: Also, does anyone know how I can get more fonts? Not AGS fonts, but Truefonts. Im looking in particular for the Ransom font, but my computer does not seem to have it.

Thanks for the help so far.

That looks great! But I have a suggestion for the arms. Maybe have him holding the straps of the backpack, like this:

Personally, I want to see Metroid. John Woo is my hero :=.

Er, you are aware that Samus is female, right?

What Metroid fan doesn't? John Woo is just directing the movie, but yeah he is really cool. Rent Hard Boiled some time.

Try one of the modules around here. I believe there is a module that suits your needs in the Technical Archive.

EDIT: Here is a link to SSH's Pixel Perfect Collision Detection Module.
