Click My Computer, then "Tools>Folder Options".
Go to the File Types tab. Ã, Find the BMP one, and choose "Edit" I think.
They'll be a bit saying "Run with.." or something, saying PSP.exe. Ã, Change that to Paint.

Nikolas.  "Open with.." is quite a few places above "Properties".  However, that said..
Hyde:  To get "Open with.." like Nik' described, hold down Left-Shift, and right click a BMP file.  (It could be left-ctrl, i can't remember precisely).

That's not really a nice thing to say about your own community is it?  We're supposed to be making this transition as smooth as possible.  Just remember more and more folk from your forums will populate here just as many of us are introducing ourselves on your boards.

Hopefully, they'll realise just who you are and not think bad of the rest of us former-AGSers.

Will the new engine come with an 3d editing dealie, or will we have to buy Maya or 3DSMax or whatever to make the 3d stuff in?  Assuming there is an editor, will it do both backgrounds and characters?
And more importantly, how easy will it be to use?  I can barely manage 2d.  In Blender3d, it took me four hours to fail to make a cube.

Custie, this is awesome.  Altho, thanks to the merger, I think this actually works with a pixellated character on a fully 3d background.

Do you need to make 3d models? I don't think so.

Just imagine the possibilties.  I can't wait to see a realistic character in 3d, walking around a 2d water color backdrop.
Seriously, I think, with this merger, we can now rival Nintendo's originality when it comes to the making of a new breed of games.

I'm just so glad I'm at the fore-front of this gaming revolution, and have the opportunities that game makers in the past had, to come up with original concepts.

well I'm just pointing out that people aren't very friendly on this forum. The only thing their good for on this is for finding people to help you make a game. IMO, this forum sucks.

Oh for heavens sake.  Do you read people's posts, or do you just think everyone else is below and therefore trying to usurp your awesomeness?  All it takes is a vaguely pleasant attitude, and you'll get along fine.  Be an arrogant ass like you did in the above quote, and criticise the people here, and you'll find yourself on the business end of the "you suck stick".

You posted many times before, with a variety of inanely craptacular threads.  I've given you the benefit of the doubt in the past.  No matter what you do in the future, I'm willing to accept you'll change your attitude for the better.  In all honesty, from what I've seen in the past, you've been given a better chance than some of the like-minded, new people on this forum.  They all thought they were better than everyone else here, too, and threw sissy-fits when someone said anything they didn't agree with.

If you can find a better and more friendly forum, please let me know.  I'll join, post in your style and see what the response is.  No, seriously, please do.  It'll be an interesting experiment.  Until then, try acting maturely and accepting some advice and/or criticism once in a while instead of whining about it like a spoilt child.
