Shadowface, I think the problem is that you've been a little naive, and people here like to have a little joke. Don't take it personally.

Shadowface, i think to become a moderator you'd have to be a member for many years, be a respected member of the community, and there be a need for one.

This is a good time to announce my next project - Barn Runner: Eternally our RAM Ghosts.
#944
You could try and tweak it a bit (add/change a word?), but there are plenty of movies with the same names so why not?

Didn't realise it was a commercial game!

I wouldn't pay money either.

I enjoyed his earlier videos, his later ones not so much. I've not checked his site in a long while though, maybe there's some better stuff now.

The game looks pretty cool, certainly what you'd expect an AVGN game to be like.

AVGN AGS? Maybe.... I don't think he's reviewed any point and click adventures.

(nod) Looking good Scavenger! I'm trying to graduate from editing RON sprites, so thanks for the tips!

Sorry I should have mentioned that I was not going for diagonal views, I should have been more careful with my post. The two bottom ones are two different attempts for the side of the head. Thanks for the input guys.

Critics' Lounge / Unsure on side view....

I've been tinkering with a possible character design for a future project. I like the front view, it's the side views I'm not so sure about.
Thankyou in advance for any help or suggestions!

Thank you for the kind words Adeel, it is still very much your project, and besides, you are the one that is going to have to script it all (story script and AGS script). That is the most important role in my opinion.

@gameboy: Your art is wondeful!
@Alaskaban: That guy could do with a Cola!

This is not only my first MAGS, but also my first project collaboration! I am quite excited about the project and have been enjoying working with Adeel.

I've recently completed a full custom sprite sheet for the main character, Adeel is very pleased with the results.

EDIT: By the way Adeel... where did you get that new avatar?  :)

I have wondered about some of those points myself Dave. None of these voices are my real voice, I just enjoy doing funny ones. I have never done this before, but thank you for the input.

I've toyed with the idea of having a go at acting before, but I am shy! So why not do some voice acting?
I've had no training, the microphone I used is not the best (though I could borrow/steal one off of my Dad if I wanted to do more). I also have problems speaking my "FF's" and "TH's" sometimes.

Any feedback is appreciated.

It's been years since I've read Good Omens, but I remember enjoying it. "Anansi Boys" is good, I believe it's set in the same world as American Gods.
In response to the artist changing thing, it's quite common in the comic book world, how many times could you draw Spiderman before getting bored?

I love Neil Gaiman's stuff, the Sandman series sits proudly in my collection.
If he's involved with making a game, sign me up!

I'm afraid I can't take credit for the style!

General Discussion / Re: OLDBOY - the remake
Tue 16/07/2013 19:30:20
I do wonder to myself a lot about films...WHY DOES THIS NEED A REMAKE?! But then I see the remake I do tend to enjoy it (mostly). Like when I first heard they where doing an American version of Infernal Affairs (into The Departed), the Asian film fan-boy in me screamed! But when I saw The Departed, it was good!

The original film by Park Chan-wook is very good, I enjoy all of his films, though be warned they are super surreal, super violent!
The original Oldboy has one of my favourite fight scenes (where he fights a ton of guys with a hammer in the corridor.), what I liked about it was that it wasn't over the top: no wire-fu, no cheese.

General Discussion / Re: only 12 downloads!!??
Sat 13/07/2013 12:24:17
@ blueskirt: I've also thought about the things you mentioned, as an episodic game creator I have come to the conclusion that I ought to end this Reality Check business as soon as possible. I've even considered changing the name of Reality Check 4 to something else. Possibly "Blackwell Eternally Ours Heartland", or "Booby Quest"; that would get me more downloads!
